The dedication and professionalism of all the Hillcrest Manor staff is above and beyond what anyone could ever expect. This is highlighted by such genuine care everyone gave to my father on his passing, and they all continue to do so for my mother, who is still a resident at Hillcrest Manor. I cannot
emphasize enough how helpful this has been at such a difficult time for my family.

Very good standard of care, all members of staff are friendly and supportive. Plenty of entertainment and activities for the residents to join in with.
Food is excellent.
From the management team to the nursing and care staff I would highly recommend this nursing home.

The empathy patience and understanding shown by all your staff to mum was gratifying. In return, I gather mum felt less antagonised, her challenging behaviour diminished and she was able to move out of the dementia area to a quieter room. We feel that the excellent training of your staff in dementia
has been key to mum feeling at ease. We would like to thank the nurses who looked after mums end of life care with such kindness and professionalism.

I'm very happy with the care my wife receives here. The staff are very friendly and she is well looked after and safe. I visit regularly and can have lunch with her if I want to.

I cannot praise and thank enough all the Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home staff who between them provided palliative care for my dear wife. Throughout her stay beginning January 2023 she was treated with sensitive care, concern and love. My daily visits to her were greeted with friendliness and hospitality
and I was always treated to refreshments and meals when necessary. I felt very comfortable and at peace there in what was a very difficult and emotional time for both of us. Furthermore, no question was too much and I was given regular updates on my wife’s condition. Hillcrest Manor is a good place.

Conditions have greatly improved in the last two months than under previous management. I am kept informed of my husband's condition and healthcare, where I wasn't before.
This is greatly appreciated. Staff are much more approachable, very friendly and polite. I was offered Sunday lunch with my husband
for the first time on 26/02/23 and was really impressed with the beef roast. New staff are making such a difference to my husband's quality of life. Keep up the good work.

Excellent care from the start when my mum was admitted to Hillcrest in December 2021.
The staff are always professional, kind and go that extra mile with their care delivery.
Food is fantastic and very good selection.
Room is kept tidy and views from the room keep mother entertained.

Be careful sending loved ones with Dementia here. Beautiful home but sadly ring sometimes and who answers the phone may not know your loved one is even a resident.
It happened to us 3 times at least. Didn't know how he was? My Dad lost loads of weight and became gaunt and had difficulty feeding himself.
When he went into hospital the last time because of an unwitnessed fall the ambulance staff were told he hadn't eaten for a few weeks and had lost weight. The ambulance staff asked if the doctor had been called to see my Dad. They were told that the home had no phone signal for a week so couldn't contact the Doctors. Sorry? Mobiles.
After that hospital visit, Dad was sent to a different room in Hillcrest with none of his familiar stuff around him. And he didn't see any of his things ever again and as a family nor did we. Dad, a smart well-dressed man sent to the funeral parlour in socks. His good leather shoes lost? Sorry, my overall review cannot be positive. They let Dad down.

I have been visiting Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home since May 2021 to see a very special person who had dementia. In all my visits I have only witnessed genuine kindness, care and attention to all the patients from all the carers/staff.
Myself, I have always been made very welcome, with a friendly atmosphere.

My sister has been at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home for a few years now and I have nothing but admiration for the way in which they look after and care for her. The team are caring, considerate and have great strength in the way Hillcrest is run.

Ruth has worked in Elderly social care for over 16 years, she is a highly qualified Registered General Nurse, who has worked previously as a Unit Manager in a very busy 81-bed home and has recently been promoted to her current role here at Hillcrest Manor. She has a wealth of experience in many areas and presently looks after compliance and auditing, Nutrition and Hydration as well as Infection Control.

Nikki has worked in Elderly social care for over 18 years, she is a highly qualified Registered General Nurse, who has worked previously as a Unit Manager in a very busy 81-bed home and has recently been promoted to her current role here at Hillcrest Manor. She has a wealth of experience in many areas presently looks after Clinical Governance, and has a particular interest in Tissue Viability and Wound Care.


Nikki has been in care for so many years she is passionate about the role as she is able to give holistic treatment to her residents and provide support for families and friends also in her current role as Deputy she offers continuing support and training to all the staff whilst overseeing shifts and any issues that may arise.
