My mum had to go into Croft Care Home earlier this year, due to worsening dementia. She has settled wonderfully, the staff have been patient and caring, and she is much happier and calmer. She has made new friends and very much enjoys the meals and entertainment. I am so pleased with the Croft and all of its staff, they have made the transition so easy for my mum and her family. Thank you to all.

This is a fantastic care home, my mum has been in the home for the last 4 years after the difficult decision was made of having to find a home for her due to her failing health. From day one the staff from the manager down to the ladies who do the cleaning have been very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. All the resident's needs are catered for, the home is very clean and the meals are freshly prepared and home cooked every day. Just before Christmas mum was not very well and confined to bed but the care and support and love she received from the staff was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they were always popping into mums room to check she was ok. I feel this care is the reason we still have mum and I would highly recommend the home to anyone who asks me.

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff for everything they do to ensure the residents are cared for and treated with respect.

As a family, we are very satisfied with the care that mum receives at this home. Her needs are met and she is extremely happy here.
If we have any concerns we only have to contact the manager or the senior on duty and the concern is quickly sorted. We get regular meetings and whenever we visit are made to feel extremely welcome.
They do lots of lovely activities and take the time to find out what each resident is interested in.

The staff are lovely and The Croft feels very homely.

Jade Vince Job Title: Home manager Joined: 2017

I started my journey in care at 18 years old as a Healthcare Assistant. From the beginning, I gained hands-on experience supporting residents with their daily needs and building meaningful relationships with them and their families. Over time, I’ve developed my skills and confidence, learning how to provide compassionate, person-centred care while supporting both residents and those close to them.

I was inspired to work in care because I wanted to make a positive difference in people’s lives. What I enjoy most about my role is knowing that even small actions can have a big impact—whether that’s helping someone through their day, offering comfort, or simply making them smile. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of something that truly matters.

My key strengths include building strong relationships, being patient and compassionate, and working well as part of a team. I’m reliable, attentive, and always focused on making sure each person is treated with dignity and respect. I’m also keen to keep learning and developing my skills.

My approach is caring, respectful, and person-centred. I take the time to understand each individual’s needs, preferences, and routines so they feel comfortable and valued. I also believe in clear communication and teamwork, supporting my colleagues and keeping families informed and reassured.

A value I live by is treating everyone with kindness and respect. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and taking time to relax and recharge, which helps me stay positive and bring my best self to work every day.
