Review of Coton House from Dawn W (Daughter of Resident) published on 20 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mom was moved to the Coton house after a stay in hospital. After the initial period of respite care had lapsed we decided that, with her dementia she would benefit by remaining at the care home as a permanent resident. Mom seems to have settled and she has a group of friends. We know that she is safe and being well cared for and the staff seem to have endless patience. We have always been made to feel welcome when visiting, the staff are always busy but are approachable and will find time to talk to us. Wolverhampton council found Mom the place initially and we feel that we were really lucky. There was no question of moving her after the initial period had lapsed.

Review of Clifton Manor Nursing Home from Michael M (Husband of Resident) published on 13 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My wife suffered a major Stroke in October 2025 and spent several months in hospital until declared 'medically fit', but still needing nursing care.
It was then a struggle to find a Nursing Home able to accommodate her, primarily due to the hyper delirium she was experiencing at night.
However the team at Clifton Manor felt that they would be able to cope with her needs, and this turned out to be so very true. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly, and caring. The regular visits from family meant that we could form close bonds with all the staff.
The non-hospital environment, together with the care provided, worked wonders so that she has now been able to return home. (It was quite an emotional departure for both us, and the staff).

It has to be said that the Clinical Lead at Clifton Manor must take a lot of the credit for the rehabilitation of my wife, and the whole family will be forever grateful for the attention and care provided by everyone.

Review of Coton House from Jane F (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Coton House for around eight weeks now, and we have been very pleased with the care and support she has received.
The home is always clean, tidy and welcoming. We particularly appreciate having different sitting rooms available, allowing residents to choose where they feel most comfortable throughout the day.
The staff are always friendly, welcoming and approachable. Any concerns we have raised have been addressed quickly, and we always feel listened to.
It has been wonderful to see my mother-in-law taking part in different activities and engaging far more than she did at home. Seeing this positive change has been lovely for both her and the family.

Knowing she is safe, comfortable and well cared for gives us great peace of mind. We would happily recommend Coton House to other families looking for care for a loved one.

Review of Coton House from Barry F (Son of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I was initially unsure about my mum moving into a care home, as it is never an easy decision for any family. However, seeing the positive difference Coton House has made in such a short time has shown me it was the right choice.
The staff have been welcoming and supportive from the beginning, and it is clear they care about the residents. The home is always clean, comfortable and well maintained.
The biggest difference I have noticed is in my mum herself. She is now joining in with activities, spending time with others and engaging much more than she was at home. Seeing her happier and more involved has been really reassuring.
Any questions or concerns have been dealt with quickly, and the staff are always approachable. Knowing my mum is safe, supported and cared for gives me real peace of mind.

Thank you to everyone at Coton House for the care you provide.

We contacted the care home to ask if it was possible to arrange admission for my mother who was in secondary care. There was a delay, however in my mother's discharge from hospital- The care home team held the bed. They reassured us and made the admission to the care home seamless. From the first moment my mother arrived she was made welcome, cared for with staff going above and beyond. They were responsive, caring and made my mothers last month happy and content. We are very grateful my wife and I. Thank you so much.

It is always a very hard decision for any family to put a loved one in care.We wanted the right care home for mum and after looking at several Coton House gave us what we were looking for. Mum is cared for exactly how we expected. Her personal care was a priority and she is happy with how the carers have been looking after her. Her room is always clean and her washing is always fresh and folded away properly in the drawers. Obviously at first the settling in period, but mum adapted well. The staff have helped us tremendously to make mum comfortable. The senior staff are very observant with any medical needs and are dealt with professionally. Wonderful ladies. The manager Dee has always made us very welcome and has worked on all mums needs to make her comfortable. She listened to us and has made mum feel at home, and always makes time to listen to mum and the family if there is any concerns. I always leave mum feeling happy and relieved she is in a good home.

Overall Experience

My Mum has only been in Pinxton Manor for a couple of months but the care she has received is second to none. I felt really guilty putting my mum in a home but she was no longer able to cope at home and was becoming a danger to herself. Due to the care, kindness and friendliness of all the staff at Pinxton Manor she is now eating well and has settled in really well. I can now rest knowing that she is safe and well looked after. When I visit the staff are very welcoming and keep me updated with everything. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pinxton Manor

The staff and management are friendly and approachable. The home is a busy but welcoming place.
My Great Aunt was in the home for 3 years and enjoyed her time there doing activities and being part of the Barty family.
She was treated with respect and dignity at all times and I was kept informed of any changes in her eating/health etc.
My Great Aunt and family were always treated with love and compassion during her stay and especially in her last few days.

Dont judge a book by its cover, the home is outdated, but it's not what it looks like its the care given to their residents.
I can honestly say this home is excellent.
All the staff are friendly, what they deliver is genuine care, compassion and dignity.

There is daily interaction, so they dont just have to sit in the chair all day doing nothing. Home cooked food on a daily basis and the home smells fresh unlike others. My mom only got to stay here for a short time before she passed but said she was happy here.

Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a privilege to care for your mum during her stay with us. Although her time here was short, we were delighted to get to know her and support her during that period. Your lovely feedback means a great deal to our team, and we are grateful that you took the time to share your experience. We wish you and your family all the very best.

Review of Coton Grange from K L (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum was placed at Coton Grange after a stay in hospital after a long lie fall and confusion. Since her arrival the staff have made her very welcome and are always actively interacting with the residents which is lovely to see. She loves taking part in the activities from gardening through to art and seated exercise. Since she has been at Coton she is getting more mobile and is having less vacant moments. She is always nicely dressed and has had her hair done and chiropody is offered as an additional payment which is beneficial. The staff always keep us updated on how she is and have sat with us to discuss what she likes to do and what foods etc she prefers. It is comforting to see her old self returning and gives relatives reassurance that she is happy.

Review of St Nicholas House Ltd from Raymond R (Brother of Resident) published on 20 May 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My brother has been at St Nicholas House for a year, and he has always been well treated by an excellent staff. Whenever I visit, I am able to obtain a frank update of his condition and prospects from all the staff whether management or senior nurses for the more serious side, or from the office or catering staff for more run of the mill information. Everybody is pleasant, smiling and helpful and treat all the customers with dignity and respect. In addition, if there is a problem I will be notified immediately. There is an excellent selection of activities offered to all those who can take park both in the home and outside.

Review of Bearwood Nursing Home from Sandra S (Sister of Resident) published on 11 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My brother has been in bearwood for 4 years. It has been a difficult time with him settling but the staff have worked around him and dealt with his needs as much as he allows them too. I was always told by the manager it could take him a long time to adjust and accept his situation that i am no longer able to care for him and she was right. All staff have been so supportiuve to us both
