My Mum has only been in Pinxton Manor for a couple of months but the care she has received is second to none. I felt really guilty putting my mum in a home but she was no longer able to cope at home and was becoming a danger to herself. Due to the care, kindness and friendliness of all the staff at
Pinxton Manor she is now eating well and has settled in really well. I can now rest knowing that she is safe and well looked after. When I visit the staff are very welcoming and keep me updated with everything. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pinxton Manor

The staff and management are friendly and approachable. The home is a busy but welcoming place.
My Great Aunt was in the home for 3 years and enjoyed her time there doing activities and being part of the Barty family.
She was treated with respect and dignity at all times and I was kept informed of
any changes in her eating/health etc.
My Great Aunt and family were always treated with love and compassion during her stay and especially in her last few days.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a caring home.
Reply from Petty Mhlanga, Manager at Bartholamew Lodge Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind review and for taking the time to share your family's experience with us.
It was truly a pleasure to care for your aunt, and she is greatly missed by both our staff and residents. She brought so much warmth and character to our home, and we feel privileged to have been part of her journey.
We will continue to care for and water her plant as a special tribute to her memory, and it will always remind us of the wonderful times we shared with her.
Thank you also for your support and for taking the time to attend the activities and events organised within the home. Your involvement meant a great deal to both your aunt and our team.
We couldn't have asked for a more supportive family, and we are grateful for the trust you placed in us. We wish you and your family all the very best.

My mother was transferred to coton house from another care home in October. At first glance the home looked tired. But inside it as a family feel to it and all the staff are friendly and helpful. With a new manager recently appointed and a full time activity coordinator.the home is constantly moving
forward and residents and family members are encouraged to attend meetings and have an input. In addition to cooked meals choice of two, tea and snacks are available though out the day.
Reply from Dolapo Oladeji, Home Manager at Coton HouseThank you for your lovely review. We are delighted your mother is settling in well and enjoying her time at Coton House. It's wonderful to know you appreciate our friendly team, the care we provide and the positive changes we are making. Your feedback mean a great deal to the whole team. My mother has been with the Croft Care Home for nearly 7 years. She has been well looked after all this time. The staff are lovely and take great care of her. Dont judge a book by its cover, the home is outdated, but it's not what it looks like its the care given to their residents.
I can honestly say this home is excellent.
All the staff are friendly, what they deliver is genuine care, compassion and dignity.
There is daily interaction, so they dont just
have to sit in the chair all day doing nothing. Home cooked food on a daily basis and the home smells fresh unlike others. My mom only got to stay here for a short time before she passed but said she was happy here.

My mum was placed at Coton Grange after a stay in hospital after a long lie fall and confusion. Since her arrival the staff have made her very welcome and are always actively interacting with the residents which is lovely to see. She loves taking part in the activities from gardening through to art
and seated exercise. Since she has been at Coton she is getting more mobile and is having less vacant moments. She is always nicely dressed and has had her hair done and chiropody is offered as an additional payment which is beneficial. The staff always keep us updated on how she is and have sat with us to discuss what she likes to do and what foods etc she prefers. It is comforting to see her old self returning and gives relatives reassurance that she is happy.
Reply from Victoria Catalano, Home Manager at Coton GrangeHi K L,
Thank you so much for the lovely review, we thrive on being able to create positive outcomes for our residents whether they are with us temporarily or permanently , your Mum has definitely made some friends here at Coton Grange not only with the residents but the staff !
I will pass on this feedback to the staff.
See you soon

My brother has been at St Nicholas House for a year, and he has always been well treated by an excellent staff. Whenever I visit, I am able to obtain a frank update of his condition and prospects from all the staff whether management or senior nurses for the more serious side, or from the office or
catering staff for more run of the mill information. Everybody is pleasant, smiling and helpful and treat all the customers with dignity and respect. In addition, if there is a problem I will be notified immediately. There is an excellent selection of activities offered to all those who can take park both in the home and outside.

My brother has been in bearwood for 4 years. It has been a difficult time with him settling but the staff have worked around him and dealt with his needs as much as he allows them too. I was always told by the manager it could take him a long time to adjust and accept his situation that i am no longer
able to care for him and she was right. All staff have been so supportiuve to us both

We understand how difficult this transition has been for both you and your brother, and we are pleased to hear that you have felt supported throughout this journey. Supporting residents to settle in at their own pace is very important to us, and we are glad that our team has been able to work around your brothers individual needs with patience and understanding.
Your feedback means a great deal to all of the staff, and we truly appreciate the trust you have placed in us over the past four years.

From the day that my dad arrived at Bearwood road Nursing home, we was made very welcome. Raj, the manager is lovely, friendly and explained everything & made us feel comfortable with our dad moving in. Reena , the receptionist is very welcoming as we come in to see dad, caring & lovely. All of dads
carers are really good, eveytime i ask them something for my dad, they are there. Natalie, the cleaning lady , takes time to speak with dad & keeps rooms very clean. Nurses are all amazing. Also, laundry woman. We never thought we'd see our dad in a Nursing home , I would like to thank everyone for making this comfortable for us all. Dads settled nicely xx Thank you ..highly recommend.
Reply from Lincymol Thomas, Manager at Bearwood Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. It truly means a great deal to us.

We are so pleased to hear that you felt welcomed from the very beginning and that the transition for your dad has been a comfortable one. Moving into a nursing home can be a big step for families, and we are glad we could help make this process easier for you all.

I will be sure to share your lovely comments with Reena, Natalie, our nurses, carers, and the housekeeping and laundry teams. They all work very hard to provide a warm, caring, and supportive environment, and your feedback will mean so much to them.

Most importantly, we are delighted to hear that your dad has settled in well. Supporting both our residents and their families is at the heart of what we do.

Thank you again for your recommendation and for placing your trust in us.

From the moment we walked into Coton Grange Care Home, I knew it was a special place. The manager and her staff are always smiling, welcoming, and treat my husband with such warmth and respect. It is a huge relief to see him settled and happy, and well cared for. They go out of their way to make me
feel welcome, too. Treating us like family. I honestly couldn't have wished for a more caring home. Thank you to the manager and her staff and to the chef! Lovely cooked roast dinners.

I travelled from Manchester to visit my father on 15th April 2026, I thought the care, attention and the interaction by the Staff with the residents is first class, the residents all look happy and content and well cared for. Since my father has been in the home having been discharged from hospital,
he looks a lot healthier, and is general wellbeing is far better, he seems happy and content, this is down to the caring nature of the staff.
I would definetely recommend the Coton Grange for any new residents.
Reply from Victoria Catalano, Home Manager at Coton GrangeThank you so much for the wonderful review , he is a delight to care for and has really settled in.
I am glad that despite not living very close to Coton Grange you feel at ease with his placement with us .

I brought my brother from a nursing home in Manchester to kings Bromley nursing home a year ago.
The manager was extremely helpful and understanding during the transfer.
The home has good accomodation, good choice of food, and wonderful caring staff, and nurses. The were varied activities each day.
My brother passed away this week after a stroke. The care from the staff extended beyond my brother's needs to include the rest of his family. They made a sad and difficult situation endurable.
I have no hesitation in recommending this nursing home. It carries out a difficult role with professionalism and sympathy

My father has been at Kings Bromley Care Home for almost two years now. He initially had a trial at one of the top end care homes. The room at that other care home was bigger and had an ensuite shower room but he just did not take to that home. With Kings Bromley Care Home he has been very settled there
in particular because the care is so good. The team are patient and kind and always have time for the residents. My dad feels very much at home at Kings Bromley Care Home.
