The staff here truly stand out - they're consistently supportive, approachable, and always do their best to meet my dad's needs, even when he can be challenging. Knowing that he's well cared for, especially during difficult times, gives me great peace of mind. I'm very grateful to all the carers, nurses,
and staff members.
The telephone support is also excellent; I'm impressed by the prompt responses and regular updates. Please keep it up.
My main feedback is about the facilities and activities, both of which could be improved. The rooms and common areas feel outdated and would benefit from renovation, and the social or recreational activities could be expanded.
Reply from The Manager, Manager at Richmond Court Nursing HomeThank you very much for your kind words. We are very happy to hear that you are satisfied with our service. I will ensure all members of staff receive this wonderful feedback. I can assure you that we are continually working to enhance the decor of the building.

Everyone at the home have been really friendly, accommodating and kind. It has given us all great piece of mind to know that our mum has round the clock care, is treated really well and kept warm and dry. All the staff have made a real fuss of mum, throwing her a party with cake for her birthday, which
was a lovely surprise. I can't recommend this home and all of their lovely staff, eough. Thank you all so much for all of your tireless work.
Reply from The Manager, Manager at Richmond Court Nursing HomeHi Jo,
Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It was truly our privilege to care for your Mum for such a short period. She was a special person and part of our family, and she will be dearly missed by all of us. We are so glad to hear that you felt supported and comforted during such a difficult time. Your message means a great deal to our entire team and we will be sure to share it with everyone. Sending our love and deepest condolences to you and your family.

Richmond Court has cared for our loved one since 2023, and we are truly grateful. My nan's dementia is very advanced and her needs are complex, but the staff continue to show patience, kindness and compassion. We know it can be overwhelming at times, and we appreciate every effort they make to support
her with dignity and care.
A huge thank you to all the carers, nurses and kitchen staff for everything you do each day. And a special thank you to Jeena, the manager, for her support, leadership and genuine warmth. It means so much to our family.

The staff at richmond court are always very helpful. I cannot fault the care that my mother receives from the staff at richmond court. The building would benifit from a refurbishment and the rooms are basic for the weekly price that she is charged, however once you look past this the care staff do an
excellent job of looking after my mum and will go out of their way to help her.
Many thanks to all the staff.

When visiting I always received a warm friendly welcome. Any questions about my brothers welfare are soon answered. The staff are led by a very good manager who soon answers any questions I have, or soon finds out. When my brother had a recent illness he was well looked after and soon taken to hospital,
from where I didn't think he would return neither did the doctors. When he returned, with their care, he was soon back to normal.

Richmond Court has provided outstanding care for my aunt for over 12years. The staff show compassion, care and interest. She is now 101 years young, and she is very happy and considers the staff part of her family. I feel I never have to worry about whether she is receiving the best care as the staff
are on top of every aspect of it.

I cannot recommend this home too much. My sister and her husband were placed in their care in January. Unfortunately, my sister passed away suddenly in February, but the staff were amazing, and anyway, looking after my brother-in-law, any problems, they will be in touch, can't recommend the home enough

Richmond Court have been brilliant with the care of my mum since 2020. Their communication, reliability , and overall friendliness makes the situation so much easier. One particular nurse is extremely supportive and caring, and I can't begin to explain what a difference this makes. I know my mum is
safe, secure and well looked after and living such a long way away so extremely important . Thank you to the team

My Dad was admitted to Richmond Court on Christmas Eve 2022. He can be quite difficult & at first was quite hostile to the staff, as he felt he had been pushed from pillar to post. However the way they have taken care of him has been fantastic. He was admitted with wounds caused by the lack of care
he had received previously. He has settled in very well now & has good rapports with the staff. He is like a different person. The care he receives is brilliant. His wounds have almost healed, which considering how bad they were is proof of the good care that is taken of him. I myself have always found the staff to be very personable, & nothing is too much trouble for them. This is especially good for me as I live over 200 miles away. It gives me peace of mind to know that my Dad is receiving this level of care

Our family member is looked after and cared for really well at Richmond Court. Her needs are met culturally here and that ensures we feel relaxed when we leave her. The staff are always kind and open, the environment is friendly. We are grateful for the management, considering the needs of our loved
one as they are quite complex and emotional for the family. Thank you.

My brother was transferred directly from the hospital to Richmond Court Nursing Home. He was only there for a short time (a matter of weeks) until he passed. The staff showed great compassion and looked after him diligently as his health deteriorated. The care he received from all the staff was outstanding.
They treated him with great dignity through his final weeks. They kept the family as a whole informed and were always available for us when we needed information regarding his condition.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.459)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.459) out of 10 for Richmond Court Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.459 for Richmond Court Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (146 Excellents x 5) + (103 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 268 Ratings = 4.459
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Richmond Court Nursing Home is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
