Nans very happy and settled and the staff calm her down as best as they can. She enjoys her activities very much and isn't happy when there's nothing on at the weekends. We can't make her understand the staff have to have days off. Well done to you all for helping us and keeping Nan calm as possible.

My dad was at the home for just over four years. He was loved by them staff and gave them all names he suffered with dementia and was bed bound. The staff there are amazing nipping to get him a take away when he wanted one. The staff became like our extended family to us and we always knew he was well looked after. I think my dad enjoyed his stay at the home and left an impression on them all.

Maybe many other care homes should take a leaf out of Harmony House, the love and devotion they showed my dad. How would I rate the home? 150 out of 100! God bless you all for the care you gave my dad.

Thank you Paul for such a lovely review. As you said your dad touched us all with his wit and wonderful sense of humour. You will all be very much missed as a family. And what a beautiful send-off he had passing Harmony House in a horse-drawn carriage. Your dad was one in a million.

Every time I visit my grandma she is partaking in the activities and she seems to enjoy them, I have taken part in some myself. The activities coordinator is friendly, down-to-earth and very chatty! I have overheard some of the staff saying disrespectful stuff with regard to the activities and coordinator. The food could be a lot better with portion sizes. Staff could be more friendly and greet visitors when they enter. More staff are needed to make it an overall better experience for the residents.

We take all our feedback seriously, it is good to know your grandma is comfortable and participating in various activities at home. The care and well-being of our residents are always our principal priority. We will fully investigate these concerns raised by you and take any necessary actions if required.

I visited Harmony House on many occasions as a member of my family was in care there. He had been in a few homes and when he went to Harmony House he was a different man they got him out of bed, he was clean and tidy, his room was always clean. The staff are friendly and see to his needs very well and he put on weight. He was always having a laugh and joke with his carers they were also very friendly to his visitors the home is clean and very well kept and there is an outside garden for people to sit in in the warm weather. I can not find anything bad to say about the home or its staff.

My brother had trouble settling anywhere until he went into Harmony House Nuneaton, he was unable to care for himself relying heavily on people to help him. In Harmony House they got him mobile and able to get himself around, using his wheelchair he enjoyed the garden when he wanted. He was cleaner than he had ever been, enjoyed the food and was able to choose what sort of meals he liked they did their very best to accommodate his food choices. His room was cleaned regularly to a high standard, what he enjoyed the most was the time and consideration the ladies and men that cared for him spending time and talking to him having a laugh and joking which is what my brother loved. It was as if he was part of a family, he was cared for until he passed away with respect from all staff. We would highly recommend Harmony House. We were regularly informed of how he was getting on when we visited and we felt part of the family atmosphere. No regrets when we left because we knew he would be ok.

My mum was a resident at Harmony House for 5 years, I can't praise the care staff enough for their hard work and dedication. The rest of the staff in the home also work wonderfully, the cleaners go above and beyond and the home always smelt lovely when I visited. The management team were always very approachable and available to chat with when I felt I needed support with anything. The food was always good and smelt lovely when I walked past and meals always looked presentable. I would recommend this home to anyone who asked me as myself my family and especially my mum had such a wonderful experience here. My mum always looked well cared for and told me how pleasant the staff were to her. My mum passed away at Harmony House and their end of life care was exceptional she was always treated with dignity and respect right until her last breath and the staff also showed great empathy to me and my family at this time. Overall excellent!

My mum has been here for 10 months, she has been pretty happy here. Mum can't walk but they hoist her into a chair and take her to all the activities that she wants to. Care and all the staff are really nice and helpful towards Mum and me. the only thing my mum does not like is the food. Think it could be better. Overall, think it is a very good home.

Review from John D (Brother of Resident) published on 9 August 2022 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My sister spent the last few weeks of her life at Harmony House and I have got to say that level of care could not have been better. She was completely bedridden when she went in with very little movement in her arms and hands unable to feed and toilet herself, and with minimum ability to communicate at times. She was however treated in a very professional manner with a very caring and considerate attitude to her condition. The attitude of the management and all the staff I met was always friendly and very helpful. I would recommend Harmony House to everyone seeking a care/nursing home for a loved one.

Very disappointed with level of care. My relative often complains about being put to bed early and left there for hours on end. She is rarely changed into nightwear in spite of requesting this. She is put to bed in the top she was already wearing plus protective underwear, that's all. She gets very upset when she needs a bowel movement but most staff do not care when she cries. One very kind carer will take her to the toilet but the rest leave her to soil herself. She is not treated with respect or dignity.

My mum was moved to Harmony House after a period in hospital in June 2021. The staff were very helpful in getting to know my mum and understanding her care needs.

They built up a good relationship with her and always treated her with care and dignity. Her room and the home itself were always kept clean and tidy and the meals were very nutrious, with lots of variety and choice. Whilst staff were always very busy, they always had time for her. My family and I will always be grateful for the love and care they gave her until she passed away in April 2022.

Having lost my legs in 2004, I spent many years in a nursing home and warden controlled complex, then I was taken ill and in hospital for a short while.

Just under two years ago, I was sent here to Harmony House now aged 75 I would not want to live anywhere else.

I can definitely recommend this home for anyone considering placing their loved ones into care.
The care and attention that is afforded to my dad is second to none. I have to shout out to one staff member, in particular, she goes above and beyond to entertain the residents and guests alike. The nursing staff keep you updated on any medical changes as they happen, not days afterwards. Regular consultations and reviews are conducted so you feel you can contribute to any suggestions to improve.
The home is exceptionally clean and tidy and the resident's clothes are always clean and ironed.

I feel very content that my Dad is being looked after well.

My Auntie was admitted to Harmony House after a fall which then resulted in her catching COVID 19 while recovering in hospital. She was very frail on arrival after several weeks in hospital. Within a short time at Harmony House, her strength and general wellbeing had dramatically improved and we were all delighted with the progress made and the care received.
