Overall I am very happy with all aspects of the Royal. I am a very anxious person due to my illness relying on 24/7 care and I am much better not having to worry so much and having my needs catered for. I find everyone very friendly, I used to be a carer myself and although I find it difficult being on the other side now, I couldn't ask for better care than what I already receive.

Initial meeting with the deputy manager at the home was very informative and gave me confidence in the care that would be given to mum. The follow-up home visit from the manager to ascertain mum's needs was also very reassuring and helped ease mum's worries and concerns regarding her short stay. On arrival day the senior staff nurse was absolutely brilliant at repairing the initial upset and the registered nurse was just lovely - a shame it was his last day at The Royal on the 22nd July. Thanks also to all the caring, cleaning and maintenance staff for making her stay so much more a holiday than necessity.

It is brilliant. They look after my relative really well. Everybody is lovely. They are hard working and treat all the residents exactly the same. The home is spotlessly clean.

My mother-in-law was in the nursing home for respite care following an accident. She was very well looked after in everyway. The standard of care, staff, cleanliness and food was extremely good.

Hi, my name is Brankica,

I’m the Care Manager at The Royal Leamington Spa Nursing Home. I have been working at the Royal Leamington Spa Nursing Home since 2018, after coming to England from Macedonia, where I was working as a nurse in a private polyclinic. I love to care, full of compassion, strength, passion, positivity and courageousness in all my work. I also love to help people and my staff at all times. For example, on my days off, I am always available to be contacted, and I support our carer staff. I have gained different experiences at The Royal Leamington Spa Nursing Home in all areas of care. For example, I not only deliver exceptional care to residents, but I also assist in the training and induction of new staff, so that they can achieve the high care standards required when working for the home.

I have gained the following qualifications since I started work at the Home. These qualifications have helped me to execute my role excellently. These are the Level 4 Advanced People Handling and Risk Assessment Key Trainer’s Certificate, Certificate in Conflict Management (CPD Online College), Certificate in Team Leading Level 2 (CPD Online College), and Certificate in Tracheostomy Care Awareness.

I am always trying to do better and level up in providing care for our residents. I am also one of the Homes' Infection Control Champions. Some of my daily work involves verbal or written supervision with carer staff, support, updating, teaching, training, and advice on residents' activities of daily living. My goal is to see content, positive and happy staff, residents, and families. I believe if all staff are happy, content and proud, our residents will be happier and content as well, including their families. I am happy to see our staff, residents and family happy.

My Motto is: - "SMILE ON THE DAY, AND IT WILL SMILE BACK TO YOU".
