St Michael's sits on Chesterfield Road in the heart of Brimington, a large and welcoming village on the northern edge of Chesterfield in north Derbyshire. The home has been a familiar and well-regarded part of the Brimington community since the 1990s, and joined the Oak Tree Care Group in 2021.
St Michael's provides nursing and residential care for up to 39 residents, set across two floors, with 35 single bedrooms and 2 companion rooms. The home benefits from a large, beautifully decorated lounge and dinning room situated on the ground floor. The home supports older people including those living with dementia, those with sensory impairment, and individuals whose care may fall under the Mental Health Act. A dedicated activity coordinator plans a thoughtfully tailored monthly programme built around the individual interests of each resident - because a fulfilling daily life is just as important as the care itself. Visiting is open and genuinely welcomed - the team are always happy to see families. The home has large contemporary flagstone garden, with raised flower beds for the residents to enjoy.
Brimington is a village with genuine character and a strong sense of local identity. Chesterfield town centre is just over a mile away, and easy access to the M1 makes St Michael's straightforward to reach from Sheffield, Mansfield and beyond.

Dad came to St Michael's after 3 weeks in a hospital with sepsis. He was cared for with the utmost kindness and compassion by all the staff in the final month of his life. As visitors, we felt we were welcomed and looked after. When the time came, dad's passing was peaceful and he was treated with dignity and true compassion. As a family, we were supported by all the staff at St Michael's who work so hard to make this a genuinely caring and homely environment for all the residents and their families.
