Morton Grange is a Local Authority quality premium provider and AQP provider for Continuing Healthcare funded by the Integrated Care Board (NHS)


Self-Funded nursing clients will qualify for Funded Nursing Care from the NHS (currently £254.06 per week from 1.4.25) which is NOT included in the above nursing rate.


Local authority funded clients with Dementia attract a Dementia premium which, like FNC, would be factored in to the above fee rates.


Cost of hairdressing (available weekly), chiropody (as required), newspapers (delivered daily as requested) and spending money for trips and toiletries we provide are not included. You are welcome to arrange any of these things your self if required.

For the last 2 years, I have visited my friend every week and attended a number of events arranged by the staff. I have been very impressed by the range of events available and the involvement of the staff. It all creates a very friendly and relaxed environment for residents and visitors.

My father has been a resident for almost 3 years. The nurses and carers are kind and attentive and cannot be faulted. They are patient and always cheerful even in difficult situations. The management are visible and play an important and proactive role in daily life. They organise many activities for
the residents both inside and outside the home including friends and family of the residents.

On arriving at Morton Grange you are greeted very warmly, a cup of tea straight away. There are no secrets, you are told everything. The staff treat everyone as one big family. If you need any help or advice they will bend over backwards to provide it for you. Everyone is on first names and treated
respectfully. It is very clean.

Celebration of 30 years, opened as a care home 1986. Wonderful celebration and gifts for residents and family. Wonderful entertainment and food provided. Food is really good at all times and many residents took part. Nothing too much trouble and the carers provide exceptional care to enable as many
residents to take part. Well done.

In the past 15 years, we have had four of our relatives in the care of Morton Grange. The fourth being my brother who is currently there. Through these times we have been so grateful for the high standard of care that's been shown to the members of our family, all with their different and sometimes
challenging needs.
There are too many homes out there that are not fulfilling what they should be doing and that is caring. Morton Grange do their very best for everyone, that includes the residents relatives who are always listened to if they have problems.

My wife has been at Morton Grange for six years now. We looked at other care homes but decided on Morton Grange for her and it was the best decision we could have made, she has always been happy there.
It is well run from the top down. The care staff are brilliant. They are well trained and treat
the residents with respect and help them to keep their dignity. I am always made welcome whenever I visit with a smile and a friendly word. The entertainment for the residents is top class as are the trips ou in the mini bus. So from my experience, I can highly recommend Morton Grange.

We were delighted to find Morton Grange because it was privately owned by a clearly committed and engaged person and was run by professional and qualified staff. In fact, in addition to the nurses, some of the care staff have nursing qualifications.
Key points for us when we reviewed the homes were
the smell (not a problem in itself but indicative of the diligence of the care staff); the number of staff on duty and amount of quality interaction with the residents; and quality of room and communal areas.
Morton Grange scored very highly in all of these areas and throughout the 6 months she has been there the standards have remained constant.
I would also like to mention that the staff call us regularly to let us know of any problems or changes in care and we have seen some of the many events that Morton Grange runs for residents (and visitors).
I recommend Morton Grange highly to anyone needing residential or nursing care.
Note also that fees are very reasonable.

My Mum receives excellent care in all respects here at Morton Grange. The food is excellent, the home is very clean and the staff are wonderful. It is always difficult when a loved one needs care over and above what you know you can provide, Morton Grange provides this. The residents are treated as
part of an extended family, with regular entertainment and trips out. I am very pleased my Mum is here. I don't think I could find anywhere better.

My mum had move to Morton Grange from a residential home in Leicester due to her changed needs. After investigating local nursing homes I decided that Morton Grange seemed a good choice. We were lucky enough to be accepted relatively quickly, and Morton Grange made the trauma of moving my 91 yr old
mother 50 miles away from her home town relatively easy.
They have since looked after my mum, in my opinion, in a caring and kind manner, making her feel welcome and attending to any problems, needs or wishes as quickly as they were able. My mum is still of reasonably sound mind, but suffers from Parkinsons and the onset of dementia, so I know things will deteriorate, but it is good to know she is somewhere where the staff care about her, and where I can visit her daily.
Mum loves all the activities, outings and social occasions Morton Grange offer and after the recent street party for the Queens 90th birthday, mum said she really enjoyed it. The next "party" is Morton Grange's 30th anniversary - we are looking forward to that.

When you walk into the home it's always warm, clean and well ventilated. The staff welcome you when you visit. They give information about how my sister is progressing. There is always plenty of staff around to respond to the needs of any patient. It is a pleasure to visit because the staff are always
happy, smiling and thorough, they are very busy. I think my sister is safe because staff respond quickly to any emergency. It is comforting to know that my sister is in a loving caring home.

My family have been so grateful for the wonderful and loving care my sister has received over the past 18 months while in Morton Grange. From the very top of management staff to the cleaners, laundry and personnel. We are aware of how caring they are to residents and give them so much support and all
whilst retaining their dignity. Everyone has been wonderful to the whole family during a time of immense sadness when my sister requires 24 hour care.

Looked around a few homes for mother before deciding on Morton Grange, and all of the family members have been so impressed with the decision we made on behalf of mum.
The care and kindness we have experienced for mum and ourselves has been overwhelming, and I would have no hesitation in recommending
the home for any family member looking for a place for a relative.
Kindness and care starts from the very top with the owners direct involvement visiting and sitting with residents and family, offering encouragement and always concerned about maintaining high standards. This standard of care is followed up by the Manageress who ensures high standards are the key factor of the care delivered to residents.
During our daily visits we have met nurses, carers and cooks and it is impressive to see not only their commitment to care, but to see them smiling and happy in the job they are performing.

I have worked at Morton Grange since 2002 and this is like my second home. I am a nurse by profession and have completed a Masters Degree in Dementia. I am a member of the Social Care Nursing Advisory Council and also the Chair of the Registered Managers Network for Derby and Derbyshire. I have won awards in Dementia care, Dignity in care, the Chief nursing officer award as well as a National Award for Registered Managers. I was also honoured with an invite to Buckingham Palace recently for my contribution to Social Care.


My door is always open and I work late into the evening meaning you can always come in for a chat with any questions you might have. I love my job as it feels like being surrounded by your family. My residents and staff are part of my family and together we are making lots of happy memories here.
