Morton Grange is a Local Authority quality premium provider and AQP provider for Continuing Healthcare funded by the Integrated Care Board (NHS)


Self-Funded nursing clients will qualify for Funded Nursing Care from the NHS (currently £254.06 per week from 1.4.25) which is NOT included in the above nursing rate.


Local authority funded clients with Dementia attract a Dementia premium which, like FNC, would be factored in to the above fee rates.


Cost of hairdressing (available weekly), chiropody (as required), newspapers (delivered daily as requested) and spending money for trips and toiletries we provide are not included. You are welcome to arrange any of these things your self if required.

Our brother stopped at Morton Grange for only five weeks before he passed away. He was in the hospital for 9 weeks through ill health. From there he went to Morton Grange. The room was always very clean and the care he got was 100%. He said that the food was excellent and so was the care he got. It
was a care home that did not have that smell, like some of the care homes you go in. You can't go wrong putting family in there.

Wonderful, wonderful first-rate care on all fronts. The staff are very caring, whatever their job title and there are always activities every day with much laughter and singing. My mum is really settled. First-class from start to finish.

My mum had to go into Morton Grange for 3 weeks respite care following a fall, pneumonia and spent 2 and a half weeks in the hospital. What a fabulous caring home this is. The staff and management are fantastic. They care for their patients above and beyond their duties, spending time with care and
patience. The home is spotless and cheerful and the staff made us feel welcome. The food and quality was amazing, we would recommend it to anyone.

Mum has been at Morton for a month now and in this time, I have seen and experienced a consistently high standard of care from every member of staff.
This creates an ethos which enables mum to feel safe, secure and valued. Management is excellent, organised and everyone is approachable. I am kept informed
daily on mum's well being and I am able to feel confident that mum is cared for. Activities are varied and tailored to individual needs. It has mum's seal of approval and this is the highest accolade.

The grounds are clean and tidy. It is a lovely place to have a walk round or sit down. The staff ar very friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. They include family in events which is a lovley idea. The rooms are clean and tidy and if you have any issue they are happy to help.
They also do different activities with the residents to keep them occupied which is fantastic.

My brother went to Morton Grange as an emergency with challenging issues. The manager recognised this immediately and with kindness and patience, my brother has benefited hugely from a team of people who really care. I visited him on his birthday to find he'd already had a party with cake, presents
and plenty of attention. One of the carers had come in - in her own time to take my brother over to the weekly entertainment - where else would you get this level of thought and care. There are activities, always someone to listen/help when he feels down/poorly. He recently came out of hospital, and through the work of the staff, he is now flourishing. He has a lovely room, his own tv and bathroom. He can socialise or be on his own when he wishes. Each visit I'm updated on my brother's health/mood and offered a drink from busy staff. I can't thank Morton Grange enough for the way they care for my brother and would highly recommend them if ever you need to place a loved one in care.

Hi, my mum is a resident of Morton Grange and has been for the last 6 months.
Make this your 1st and last choice for your loved ones if you're choosing a Nursing home.
The staff are wonderful, nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble for them, caring, loving and treat my mum with dignity. They
make all relatives feel very welcome.
The food is all home-cooked on the premises and if there is something that your relative would like, the staff will try their hardest to accommodate.
All staff will know your relative's name and make a fuss of them even if they're not on that floor or building.
Can’t recommend this care home enough, you can go and have a look around, you don’t need an appointment (which speaks volumes in itself).
The rooms are lovely, you can take pictures, Tv’s, well anything to make it cosy.
You won’t be disappointed, my mum loves it and so do we.

The carers were very thoughtful, helpful and kind. Although a very new resident my husband enjoyed his birthday very much, they provided a real party celebration feeling to the day. The carers treat all the residents in a very friendly respectful way and this is reflected in the atmosphere of the home.

Mother lived in The Willows section of Morton Grange for four years until her recent death and we have been extremely pleased with our choice of home for her. She had severe dementia and could not easily express herself, but always seemed happy and well cared for. All the staff were extremely patient,
friendly and kind towards her. They treated her with dignity.
Whenever we visited the home we were always made to feel very welcome. Everywhere has always been clean and tidy and always smelt fresh. The interaction between the staff and other residents is very caring and the meals look appetising and well presented.
We are very grateful to all the staff at Morton Grange for looking after mother so well and are delighted that she became part of their family.

Both my parents have health conditions, including dementia (Alzheimer's and vascular) and have stayed here for respite at least five times, and now it has come to my Dad requiring permanent care, Morton Grange is our first choice. Whilst it is an old building, the care provided is outstanding, there
is nothing needing in care, facilities, services,m rooms, and all residents are treated as individuals with the utmost of respect/dignity. Every member of the Morton Grange team contributes to this, headed up by a 'hands-on' manager and owner. Thank you.

Mum went into Morton Grange Care Home 8th June 2015. The care and support from all staff and management was first class.
Mum died in Morton Grange 31st January 2019, the care and support at this time, again, from all staff and management was extremely good (and still is).

My mum has been a resident at Morton Grange for over six years and she is very happy and settled there. The staff are well trained, kind and very caring. Staff work very hard and will always take time to have a chat about the resident. Very supportive and respectful environment. I am totally convinced that this is the right home for my father. There are wonderful views from the windows. Activities that are inclusive of all residents and a real interest
in how to increase the variety of activities. Nursing staff are very professional and communicate regularly. They keep very detailed care plans. Carers are lovely and attentive to the needs of the resident.

I have worked at Morton Grange since 2002 and this is like my second home. I am a nurse by profession and have completed a Masters Degree in Dementia. I am a member of the Social Care Nursing Advisory Council and also the Chair of the Registered Managers Network for Derby and Derbyshire. I have won awards in Dementia care, Dignity in care, the Chief nursing officer award as well as a National Award for Registered Managers. I was also honoured with an invite to Buckingham Palace recently for my contribution to Social Care.


My door is always open and I work late into the evening meaning you can always come in for a chat with any questions you might have. I love my job as it feels like being surrounded by your family. My residents and staff are part of my family and together we are making lots of happy memories here.
