Morton Grange is a Local Authority quality premium provider and AQP provider for Continuing Healthcare funded by the Integrated Care Board (NHS)


Self-Funded nursing clients will qualify for Funded Nursing Care from the NHS (currently £254.06 per week from 1.4.25) which is NOT included in the above nursing rate.


Local authority funded clients with Dementia attract a Dementia premium which, like FNC, would be factored in to the above fee rates.


Cost of hairdressing (available weekly), chiropody (as required), newspapers (delivered daily as requested) and spending money for trips and toiletries we provide are not included. You are welcome to arrange any of these things your self if required.

My mother was in this care home for 10 years and now my father is in it. I have never had an issue with them during all these years, they have taken great care of my family and it puts me at ease, as I live in Canada. The owner is available for chats at any time.

Morton Grange residential nursing and care home staff take good care of my 93 years young mother.
She was a daycare user for three days per week prior to taking up permanent residence; in The Willows House of Morton Grange residential nursing and care home.

We looked at several other care homes for my mother who is blind, disabled and aged 94 years old. This appeared to be the best and our experience with the home, shows it is outstanding. The staff are exceptional. The patience and time they give to my mother is really good.

My mother joined the Morton Grange family after her needs from having had a stroke approx. 4 years earlier had changed to requiring nursing care.
Before entering Morton Grange, my mother was very depressed, wouldn't mix with other residents and just wanted to die.
Wow, the change in my mother's mood
since becoming part of the Morton Grange family is indescribable.
She was happy, as happy as she could be under her unfortunate circumstances, joining in with the activities and socialising, her speech and mental wellbeing improved beyond recognition.
My mother was loved here, and she knew she was and appreciated everything the staff were doing for her. They gave her choices and valued her opinion, wishes and needs. They gave my mother her dignity back, empowered her and she regained her identity.
All the staff treated us as part of the family, and they are all a credit to the care profession. I cannot thank these amazing people enough and will be forever grateful.

Our sister had deteriorated with cancer and we chose Morton Grange to provide her with the end-of-life care she needed. Every single member of staff we met when we visited was kind and caring; they adapted things to meet her needs. We were allowed to visit at any time and did so every day and staff
kept us informed of any changes. Everything was first class, and I strongly recommend it.

From start to finish - excellent. I was supported from day one of my enquiry for respite care, from the telephone assessment and then trying to get a PCR test sorted over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend ready for my stay was quite stressful, but the staff at Morton Grange were excellent. Many many

We had been searching for the right care home for Mum as we did not want her to be "another number" which is the impression we had assumed from a number of other homes. Morton Grange is literally on our doorstep, however, not our first consideration. We just wanted a place where we were safe in the
knowledge she was being not only looked after but cared for. Morton Grange has delivered this and more, every one of the staff we have dealt with have shown the same care and compassion for Mum and the other residents and this has been borne out in Mum's wellbeing since she arrived at Christmas. She was in a depressed state, shying away from social interaction and loss of appetite etc. when she arrived, and we honestly feared for her future. The staff at Morton Grange have supported her through this and now she is back to her former self and we could not have wished for a better outcome for her.

After the initial upset and sadness of my partner being admitted into care with Alzheimer’s, I soon became comforted and reassured by a very genuine caring and kind team of staff/management looking after her at Morton Grange.
My partner is treated very kindly with genuine affection by all the staff
I’ve seen looking after her.
Morton Grange appears to have a lot of long serving staff and management, with no agency staff, which I’m sure contributes to the positive culture and its success.
The more I visit Morton Grange the more I feel that we are lucky to have chosen it.

I am so pleased that we chose Morton Grange for my mum when she needed nursing care and I highly recommend it. We, as a family, have the peace of mind knowing that Mum is really well cared for by an amazing team of kind, caring and friendly staff. The home has a really welcoming family atmosphere and

Moving Mum to Morton Grange was the best decision and I would not have wanted her to be anywhere else. At the time I didn't appreciate how crucial that decision would be. When Covid-19 turned our world upside down it was a great relief to me to know how loved and cared for Mum was there in every aspect.
Despite her dementia she settled so quickly. It was home. She came from a rural area and to see the farmland close by was something that was familiar to her. My mum was there for just over a year and although we had only been able to share in the socials and Mum's life briefly before restrictions prevented it, I loved the way staff always had time, nothing was too much much trouble and there was always such a lovely family atmosphere. During lockdown, their video calls to keep in touch were very special. We ,as a family, felt their care and support for us as well as Mum. Her last days were peaceful and we will be forever grateful for their excellent care.

The team at Morton Grange looked after my mum for complex end of life care. The staff were amazing. They provided true patient centered care and they extended this to the needs of my family. Morton Grange exceeded our expectations and we as a family would recommend Morton Grange without hesitation.

I go to see my grandad and he is well looked after. When he has fallen and is on his way to the hospital, they always get hold of my uncle so he can go straight there to meet the ambulance. My grandad has a good relationship with the staff.

My husband has only been at the home since April 2021 and therefore due to covid restrictions, it's our experience of the care home. However, the staff are kind to my husband and family and he appears to have established a report with them. They always inform us of any problems that occur. He is happy

A home that is really caring, friendly and committed to both residents and visitors. Residents and visitors are treated as if part of one big family. Residents are allowed and helped to utilize the best of their abilities and limitations. The interior decor is modern, bright and relaxing. Very informative

My sister was in Morton Grange for nearly two years. She went in for end of life care, but soon recovered and was back on an even-keel in her health within those three months. My sister spent 3 weeks here while work was being done on her home. She was very nervous about spending time in a home, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or caring. I felt it was a positive experience for her and has taken away her fear of care homes. The staff are friendly and take an interest
in the residents - like one big family. We hope that when things return to normal to arrange a visit to see the new friends she made while staying at Morton Grange.

Our lovely mum was happy living in her bungalow until earlier this year when her health deteriorated and her life became very difficult. After spending several respite weeks in Morton Grange, she chooses to move in permanently, and it has been, she says, one of the best decisions she has ever made.
All the staff are excellent. They are kind, caring and very professional. Mum’s health has improved and, most importantly for her family, mum is happy, and is enjoying life again.

The staff work hard to provide a caring environment, such that I no longer view it as just a high-quality care home, I am actually proud to call it MY HOME.

I have worked at Morton Grange since 2002 and this is like my second home. I am a nurse by profession and have completed a Masters Degree in Dementia. I am a member of the Social Care Nursing Advisory Council and also the Chair of the Registered Managers Network for Derby and Derbyshire. I have won awards in Dementia care, Dignity in care, the Chief nursing officer award as well as a National Award for Registered Managers. I was also honoured with an invite to Buckingham Palace recently for my contribution to Social Care.


My door is always open and I work late into the evening meaning you can always come in for a chat with any questions you might have. I love my job as it feels like being surrounded by your family. My residents and staff are part of my family and together we are making lots of happy memories here.
