Barons Park Care provides nursing and accommodation for up to 46 younger and older people with complex, challenging and advanced forms of dementia and significant mental health care needs. Long term nursing care is also provided.

I am very happy with the level of care shown to my husband by all the members of staff, from the care assistants through to the nursing staff. The management is excellent at communicating all aspects of my husband's needs and comfort.
I have had experience of other care homes but the knowledge of dementia
and how to treat the patients is far superior.

My father moved into Baron's Park in April 23 and we were very anxious as we had cared for him at home and the only other place he had been was in hospital.
The home is amazing. The staff are fabulous and my dad is so settled there.
My dad's first words were "I'm impressed" which meant so much to
us as a family.
They care for him like he is part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble and we have peace of mind knowing how well he is being cared for.
If you are looking for a friendly, caring home then Baron's Park is perfect.

First impressions count and for us, it was excellent. We were given early access to his room prior to admission to ensure familiar surroundings upon his arrival from the Hospice.
The nursing element of his care is very professional and of a high standard whilst not being too intrusive.
Baron's Park
does everything that it says and goes above and beyond for our loved one and for the family.
We as a whole family feel very reassured that he is in safe hands.

My mother-in-law stayed at The Barons Park Nursing Home which sadly finished with end-of-life care. Our gratitude as a family is immense, as she was given wonderful, professional support 24hrs a day. The dynamics of the team from the manager, nurses, carers, kitchen staff and domestics was 1st class.
We were all made to feel very welcome and this helped the process of losing our loved one. We will be forever grateful for the part the manager and his team played at this difficult time and for allowing her to pass with such dignity. We would 100% recommend this care home, for anyone needing one for a family member. Thank you.

My lovely mum was given loving excellent care by all of the staff in the last two weeks of her life. As an ex-nurse myself, I can honestly say that Barons Park Nursing Home was the best care facility I have known. I can’t recommend this lovely place enough it’s lovely manager and team. Thankyou.

Barons Park Nursing Home provided very caring and positive support to our son who was very young. His nursing needs were complicated and very well managed in collaboration with his local GP. All staff are very friendly and approachable and supportive at all times and communicated with family well. Our

Mum has been at Barons Park for just over two years now after moving from another home. There is no comparison between them, Barons Park stands head and shoulders above the other home.
It was a difficult decision to put Mum into care and she entered during lockdown which made things even more difficult.
From day one the staff have been nothing but caring, understanding and compassionate. I spoke to the senior member of staff a lot in the early days (and still do now) and she provided lots of reassurance about Mum settling in. Everyone knows Mum by name and it’s clear to see she responds well to the staff. There's a real personal touch, we’re all greeted by our names and the staff speak to my young children too.
I’ve had many conversations with the manager and he is also understanding and takes a common-sense approach to situations. It’s clear he has Mum's best interests at heart.
I’d recommend Baron’s Park to anyone, the staff make it what it is and as a family, we’ll always be grateful for the care you give.

A warm and friendly environment from the offset. The staff are caring and approachable and offer a professional and bespoke approach. I am kept well informed about my mum and consulted about any change of care. My mum is treated in a caring manner while maintaining dignity and care.

Been a visitor of a dear friend there since December 2022. The residents are so cheerful, funny and a pleasure to be around while we visit. The staff are amazing and really friendly. They keep me updated on things and answer any questions I have. They are happy to have my three-year-old around and the
residents love her too.
Thank you to each of you for not just doing your job but doing it with real care and compassion.
It's a relaxed environment to be in and feel at ease leaving my friend knowing he will be well looked after. Thank You.

My mum is in the Connections Unit in Barons Park. The care staff in the unit are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Mum's room is very nice and has ensuite facilities too. Mum has severe dementia, which makes communication quite difficult, but the carers and nursing staff take great care of Mum.
The manager and reception staff are very welcoming and always happy to answer any questions. I know Mum is happy and well looked after at Barons Park.

What a fantastic care home this is. Dad has been a resident of 4 homes due to his declining health condition (Alzheimer's) and Barons Park Nursing Home just get it.
Their staff is what makes this home such a success. They fully understand dementia and are able to look after and care for their residents
properly. Some homes look good but cannot really deliver the appropriate care needed, but here I felt that Dad was in such great hands and was properly looked after in a way that we would do it ourselves.
Thank you to the manager who leads from the front, and for his understanding ways. But thanks mainly to the team on the dementia ward who were all amazing! They embraced Dad as a friend and gave him the care they would give to their own relatives. So patient, so kind and so friendly.


In summary, I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a home for an elderly relative or friend who needs proper dementia care and love.

I highly recommend this home, my mother has resided here since July. From day one she has received the highest quality of compassionate care from professional and friendly staff, who treat my mother with dignity and respect. The staff work together as a team. The facilities, food and stimulation activities
are first-class. I am happy in the knowledge that my mother is being well cared for and is thriving in this care home.

Mum spent only a week at Barons Park, and I have nothing but praise for the care and attention she was given. They did everything in their power to keep her comfortable, including pain relief when she needed it. I was told I could visit at any time, and was able to sit with her at the end. I am so grateful
for that, and the kindness shown to me afterwards.

The staff are very friendly and the receptionist is really nice and always has time for a chat with you. All the staff are lovely. I don't see many people these days when I visit they must all be so busy, my dad is in the Hastings part of the home he has not been able to leave his bed for over a year
he can't do anything so I can't comment on the rest of the home. One of the staff members did a lovely thing on my mum's birthday they put a happy birthday banner up in dad's room and wrote a letter to my mum as if it was from my dad. It made me very emotional. The room is ok, food is good. Care is good.

My nan was transferred to Barons Park for end-of-life care in July from a sudden terminal diagnosis in the hospital. We knew from the moment we viewed the home and met the manager, the lead nurse and numerous other staff that she would be safe and well cared for. Nan resided for two weeks at Barons,
where she received wonderfully personalised, quality care. I was surprised by how quickly everyone seemed to know her and what she liked, and also got to know her family. Nan said she liked it there, which is high praise indeed. Carers chatted to her whilst they combed her hair, even when she was in the deepest of sleeps. Nan requested ice cold drinks, so the manager purchased bags of ice; they knew she loved a certain cereal, so that's what she had. Barons is also supported by a wonderful GP.
The staff ensured my nan was safe, comfortable, pain free, and enabled her to have a peaceful and dignified death. Our family will be forever grateful and will miss chatting with you all.

My friend has been at Barons Park since November 2020, and the amount she pays is higher than anywhere else I know. Her room is very basic, and there is no toilet or suite. Every time I came in to visit, the backs of her shoes are down, her nails are filthy, and her bed is not made or the bedding is
dirty; I feel that I have to say something about these things every time I visit. The reception is very helpful, and so are some of the staff, but I feel there is room for improvement for what is being paid.
