Dad moved to Barons Park in lockdown so we weren’t able to view the home, but came with good recommendations. Dad came to the home with some challenging behaviours and the staff have handled these well. Dad is happy, well cared for, the staff love him. From staff to management everyone is lovely and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I’m kept up to date with any changes concerning Dad. I would recommend this home.

My grandad was a truly amazing man who deserved the best care, dignity and respect and I can honestly say this was delivered at Barons Park Nursing Home. He was here for his last few weeks and the staff were brilliant with him, despite rapid deterioration, engaging with his care needs and our family. For me, I've seen a lot of caregivers not so worried and quite neglectful of patients with dementia because they can't communicate so well or have these complex needs but not here, I never worried he wasn't being looked after right. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at the care home, they should be very proud of their high standards of care, communication with relatives and all-round support. We had a tough time but they made it easier.

Our mum was only a resident at Barons Park Nursing Home for a few months but during that challenging time, the care, compassion and kindness she received was amazing. As a family, we were worried about her going into nursing care but her needs were so complex we had no choice. We should not have worried because from the moment she arrived, she was treated with respect and we were also treated with kindness, never feeling like we couldn't ask any questions or given the impression they were too busy to speak to us. The level of communication from the nursing staff and manager are faultless, we were kept up to date and fully informed all of the time. Their knowledge of dealing with residents with dementia is brilliant, calming and kind in what can be very difficult situations which was a big comfort and reassurance to us at a very difficult time.

A big thank you to all the staff for their kind and considerate care of my auntie, who was a resident at Barons Park for 17 months. It was very reassuring for the family to know that my auntie was being so well cared for. On each visit, we witnessed the genuine kindness shown to her to ensure that she was comfortable and that all her needs were met. It was also appreciated that members of the nursing staff would contact us in between the visits if there was any updates on her condition that we needed to be aware of.

I am very happy with the level of care shown to my husband by all the members of staff, from the care assistants through to the nursing staff. The management is excellent at communicating all aspects of my husband's needs and comfort.

I have had experience of other care homes but the knowledge of dementia and how to treat the patients is far superior.

My father moved into Baron's Park in April 23 and we were very anxious as we had cared for him at home and the only other place he had been was in hospital.
The home is amazing. The staff are fabulous and my dad is so settled there.
My dad's first words were "I'm impressed" which meant so much to us as a family.
They care for him like he is part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble and we have peace of mind knowing how well he is being cared for.

If you are looking for a friendly, caring home then Baron's Park is perfect.

First impressions count and for us, it was excellent. We were given early access to his room prior to admission to ensure familiar surroundings upon his arrival from the Hospice.
The nursing element of his care is very professional and of a high standard whilst not being too intrusive.
Baron's Park does everything that it says and goes above and beyond for our loved one and for the family.

We as a whole family feel very reassured that he is in safe hands.

My mother-in-law stayed at The Barons Park Nursing Home which sadly finished with end-of-life care. Our gratitude as a family is immense, as she was given wonderful, professional support 24hrs a day. The dynamics of the team from the manager, nurses, carers, kitchen staff and domestics was 1st class. We were all made to feel very welcome and this helped the process of losing our loved one. We will be forever grateful for the part the manager and his team played at this difficult time and for allowing her to pass with such dignity. We would 100% recommend this care home, for anyone needing one for a family member. Thank you.

Barons Park Nursing Home provided very caring and positive support to our son who was very young. His nursing needs were complicated and very well managed in collaboration with his local GP. All staff are very friendly and approachable and supportive at all times and communicated with family well. Our son felt very safe and reassured.

Mum has been at Barons Park for just over two years now after moving from another home. There is no comparison between them, Barons Park stands head and shoulders above the other home.
It was a difficult decision to put Mum into care and she entered during lockdown which made things even more difficult. From day one the staff have been nothing but caring, understanding and compassionate. I spoke to the senior member of staff a lot in the early days (and still do now) and she provided lots of reassurance about Mum settling in. Everyone knows Mum by name and it’s clear to see she responds well to the staff. There's a real personal touch, we’re all greeted by our names and the staff speak to my young children too.
I’ve had many conversations with the manager and he is also understanding and takes a common-sense approach to situations. It’s clear he has Mum's best interests at heart.

I’d recommend Baron’s Park to anyone, the staff make it what it is and as a family, we’ll always be grateful for the care you give.

Been a visitor of a dear friend there since December 2022. The residents are so cheerful, funny and a pleasure to be around while we visit. The staff are amazing and really friendly. They keep me updated on things and answer any questions I have. They are happy to have my three-year-old around and the residents love her too.
Thank you to each of you for not just doing your job but doing it with real care and compassion.

It's a relaxed environment to be in and feel at ease leaving my friend knowing he will be well looked after. Thank You.

My mum is in the Connections Unit in Barons Park. The care staff in the unit are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Mum's room is very nice and has ensuite facilities too. Mum has severe dementia, which makes communication quite difficult, but the carers and nursing staff take great care of Mum. The manager and reception staff are very welcoming and always happy to answer any questions. I know Mum is happy and well looked after at Barons Park.

What a fantastic care home this is. Dad has been a resident of 4 homes due to his declining health condition (Alzheimer's) and Barons Park Nursing Home just get it.
Their staff is what makes this home such a success. They fully understand dementia and are able to look after and care for their residents properly. Some homes look good but cannot really deliver the appropriate care needed, but here I felt that Dad was in such great hands and was properly looked after in a way that we would do it ourselves.

Thank you to the manager who leads from the front, and for his understanding ways. But thanks mainly to the team on the dementia ward who were all amazing! They embraced Dad as a friend and gave him the care they would give to their own relatives. So patient, so kind and so friendly.

In summary, I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a home for an elderly relative or friend who needs proper dementia care and love.

Thank you Barons Park team. You are brilliant!

I highly recommend this home, my mother has resided here since July. From day one she has received the highest quality of compassionate care from professional and friendly staff, who treat my mother with dignity and respect. The staff work together as a team. The facilities, food and stimulation activities are first-class. I am happy in the knowledge that my mother is being well cared for and is thriving in this care home.

Mum spent only a week at Barons Park, and I have nothing but praise for the care and attention she was given. They did everything in their power to keep her comfortable, including pain relief when she needed it. I was told I could visit at any time, and was able to sit with her at the end. I am so grateful for that, and the kindness shown to me afterwards.
