Cedar Court Care Home

Lovely to see my mum again. She looked comfortable and relaxed. I can't thank the staff enough for all their care and attention.

Recently, Cedar Court allowed us outside visits to see loved ones - the first time since March when lockdown commenced. I would like to say a big thank you to the manager and the staff at Cedar Court for a well organised visit where I felt safe as well as relaxed. All procedures were implemented to the right standard, whilst also leaving a nice and relaxed atmosphere in the gardens. Once again, thank you Cedar Court!

Cedar Court staff are doing a great job, the Manager has said they have no coronavirus outbreaks in the home. Great work.

My mother is a resident in the nursing area of Cedar Court. She has been a resident for a while but I want to particularly say how grateful I am for the care given to her and the other residents during the current crisis. The manager and her staff I know will do everything in their power to protect the vulnerable residents in their care. Under normal circumstances they care for the residents well, my mum is looked after well, she is happy, well-fed and kept safe by the staff but during this difficult time, they have been outstanding doing everything in their power to look after our most precious relatives. Thank you.

I found the staff to be very uncaring and callous. For instance, I asked for a chair to be moved in the lounge so that I could sit next to my dad and no one was willing to help. In the end, another visitor helped me. I am disabled and yet all the disabled spaces in the car park were taken and none of them were displaying a disabled badge. This meant that it was a struggle to visit my dad. My dad had complained of chronic diarrhoea for two weeks. On arriving home we discovered that he had been given laxatives that he did not need. Despite mentioning it to the staff, nothing was done. I understand that many residents were also suffering from diarrhoea. When I came to take him home, the staff member on duty made an excuse and did not help us. This meant that we had to struggle with my dad's belongings - myself with a walking stick, bags etc. and my dad with a walking frame. It took a few journeys to get his things to the car. There were no towels or a light bulb in the room for two days. The TV was not working in the room.

My carer is a very good carer, I like her very much. The activities are very good with the coordinator doing them, he is a very nice man.

It's a most enjoyable place. Most entertaining going out. It's a change of scenery, which is quite a delight.

The nursery children came in this morning and sang some nursery rhymes. They were lovely.

My husband was temporarily a resident over Christmas for three weeks. Staff were very welcoming and kind. Coped very efficiently with his medical and care needs. Food very good. Delighted with his care at a very difficult time for us. The manager had her finger on the pulse of the home and had an excellent knowledge of our needs. Thank you.

My mother moved into Cedar Court on October, I had researched the homes in the area and visited some of them, Cedar Court was by far the best option for her. From the day she moved in, to the day she sadly passed away, she was cared for and safe. She was treated as a person, not a patient.

I have a friend who I sit and chat with every day. Although my mobility isn't very good I do like to help decorate the tree at Christmas.

In for a physic night. Very enjoyable.

My father sadly had to have end of life care. He was in another home but they couldn't meet his needs. We explained what we needed and was welcomed with open arms. He was with Cedar for 2 and a half weeks and then sadly passed. The care was outstanding, the care staff were very kind and supported him and us. Also made sure mum had a hot dinner every day. The manager was always there when we need anything. Just a big thank you to you all.

I find the trip very good and satisfactory. The bus was very clean. The food is very good.

Lovely friendly home. Can't praise staff enough. Nothing too much trouble. Wish I could have got Dad in the home earlier. Recommended to all!

My husband is receiving excellent care. The staff are always cheerful and kind. He is treated with care and respect. When visiting I always feel welcome.
