Our 93yr old mother resided at Belvoir Court for the final 2yrs of her life. She unfortunately had some complicated health needs which could not be properly managed by just a visiting district nurse service. The full 24/7 nursing team and wonderful care staff made her life and ours so much easier. For two years we were greeted by the same friendly faces, they were mums friends and ours. Mum was treated with great dignity, kindness and affection. The cleanliness, food and care from all staff members was outstanding. Thank you from all Janets family xx

From the moment I rang the care village, knowing nothing about nursing homes, our family was immediately enveloped into a supporting, loving new family. I cannot talk more highly of the staff from cleaners to nurses, carers to administrators. My dad was cared for in his last days and hours and drifted off to sleep. Bless him.

I looked at several homes before my husband became a resident. This one was the only one I found with sufficient carers and with room to roam around safely. In my opinion what is important to people suffering from dementia is not grand surroundings but gentle, kind, understanding carers, which Cottesmore Lodge has in abundance.

My brother was resident within Rutland Care Home, Cottesmore Lodge for 6 months this year until he passed away in September. The overall experience of care he received was wonderful and the staff are to be commended for their excellent work, kindness and respect to the patients within their care. We as a family felt welcomed on every visit we made and could not have asked for better. Thank you all for caring for our brother so well it was greatly appreciated.

Overall we found the staff very helpful, kind, respectful and caring. It was clear though that they are understaffed as sometimes mums needs weren't always met with the speed sometimes needed (such as urgent toilet need). I'm sure this is not isolated to one patient due to how busy the staff are. This became much more the case overnight, despite this her overall needs were met and mum loved being there for her last few weeks. Her key worker and care staff were fab with her as were the team leaders and we felt as family that the support they gave us was also compassionate and heartfelt. Many thanks to the team

My mother was moved to here from hospital. We knew from the consultant that she was not going to get the use of her legs and the infection was incurable. At least in hospital they have her some quality of life by getting her out of bed and outside. Here she was confined to a bed with the sides up to stop her trying to get out. She hated the winch and was told she couldn't get up unless she used it and allowed a physio to assess her. In hospital they used an alternative for her and got her up. She had months of painful dressing changes in what appeared to be an attempt to 'cure' what what was incurable and her pain was really badly managed. Sometimes she would wait hours for overdue drugs. She had recently been registered blind and had dementia so needed help to eat but we often found alone and unable to reach her food or water. Worse, I found her left asleep, with food in her mouth! She was often left unable to reach her food, water or buzzer. Most staff seemed unaware of her needs.

I can wholeheartedly say that the care given to my father who came to Qourn, has been nothing but exceptional. My father has been treated with dignity and kindness. The staff are ALL so caring and approachable and have looked after us all at a difficult time. The genuine dedication from the staff clearly comes top down from the wonderful managers. Thank you everyone

The care given to my wife over the past year has been exceptional. The care staff right down to the tea lady and the cleaners all really did care. Nothing seemed too much trouble whatever the occasion. Despite her dementia the staff did everything to make her stay as comfortable and friendly as possible

My sister was a resident in the dementia unit for 17 years. She was cared for with great kindness and compassion. I varied my visits at different days and times, and always found her clean and bedlinen spotless. No complaints at all about her treatment.

I was always made to feel welcome as a visitor.

Found all members of staff to be extremely helpful and caring.
My Dad was treated with dignity and respect throughout.
Sadly was for end-of-life care which was three weeks. I was able to be there until the end. It was reassuring that the end was very peaceful. Kindness and understanding was shown to myself and my family.

Thank you.

My Mum has recently passed away having spent over 2 years in Cottesmore Lodge. The staff have been amazing throughout caring and tending to her daily needs.

Her final days were dealt with dignity and thoughtfulness the family couldn't have wished for anything more. Heartfelt thanks to each and every one.

Excellent and friendly care throughout the period of being here, both to the resident and her family. Good contact maintained by the care home with me, keeping me informed where necessary. Helped resident to integrate when she first moved in, with range of activities and opportunity to meet other residents of both the care homes and the supported cottages that form the care village complex. Particularly supportive and caring during periods of illness, and at the end of life, supporting both the resident and the family.

The Rutland Care Village has provided me with much-needed care, support and stability, since my long stay in hospital and my issues with my family. All of the team and particularly the caring staff, were at best remarkable to me showing their professional and friendly approach side to me. The management at best was supportive of my needs and encouraged me to move forward to my next stage of living back into normal outside life with care and support. I thank them all for their approach to my needs and help to move on to my next challenge without their help this would have not been possible. I have moved into a warden-controlled flat, with care services provided by others. Without the help of the facilities at Rutland Care Village, this would have not been possible.

The very best of luck to all the caring staff and all the support workers at the facility, may they carry on doing their work.

My dad recently passed away after being a resident at Quorn Lodge for 5 years. In my experience, the Lodge was very well run and Dad was well looked after. I feel that he was treated as a person and that he felt very much at home while he was living there, and enjoyed having a joke and a laugh with the staff. In the end, he was treated with sensitivity and everything was done to make him comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend Rutland Care Village.

My husband suffered a server stroke (in the words of the doctor, "massive") and was sent to Ruland Care Village. I was distraught, nervous and worried, but all the staff were supportive and caring. The carers themselves were always respectful of my husband's emotions and moods (and there were plenty). Thank you to all of you for the lovely work you do in helping and supporting your clients.

Very pleasant and caring staff.
Clean and welcoming environment.
Excellent standard of care.
Needs more activities for residents - what is happening with the day centre. Concerns regarding social interaction.

Would be helpful if staff could routinely (at least daily) assist my mother with walking to increase strength, confidence and independence.
