My sister was a resident of Rutland Care Village between 19/2/13 and her sad passing on 31/12/17, having suffered a very major stroke on 19/11/2012.


Sadly, she made little recovery in those five long years. Her capacity was severely impaired, she had lost her speech, and only had use of her left

hand. All her needs and preferences, therefore, had to be anticipated, and all movement assisted by staff.


Throughout my sisters time at Rutland Care Village, all staff and management so happily and willingly showed the very highest standards of care, expertise, patience and friendship for her at all times.


Before my sister was admitted to Rutland Care village, I visited a number of other care homes, and Rutland Care Village without question offered by far the highest standard of facilities, care, and management that I encountered.

My father passed away in the Rutland Care Village in September 2017. After a stay in Peterborough Hospital it was determined he could no longer be cared for at home (he had pancreatic cancer). The staff were not only competent, they were extremely caring, patient and kind to both my father and to the
family.

During the six weeks that my brother was a resident in Rutland Care Village, we were very impressed with the treatment he received. We visited on several occasions (unannounced) and always found him to be as happy and comfortable as his condition allowed. We were also impressed with the sympathetic
reaction when he passed away. A big thank you to all concerned.

On first visiting Cottesmore Lodge I was impressed with the friendly, caring and professional manner in which staff interacted with residents. The Lodge was spotlessly clean and safety measures were evident. My aunt has now been a resident there for 15 months and in that time my first impressions
have been confirmed and strengthened. Residents are treated with kindness, dignity and gentle humour. Their needs and happiness are paramount and are at the heart of care in the unit. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for the staff and they are unfailingly welcoming to relatives. Management and all staff work hard to make the unit a true 'home-from-home' for the residents. My aunt is well cared for and is happy and I could not wish for more than that. 'Well done' and a big 'thank you' to all the staff at Cottesmore Lodge.

Wednesday 30th December 2015. Two meetings arranged to review funding and care: Firstly funding meeting at 10.30 2/12/15 Representatives of NHS and social care together with family representatives, nursing and care management. Notes were methodical and rigorous which was essential for funding review.
It was obvious that a high professional standard of monitoring and evidence based care had taken place which was our priority for the one we loved. The arrangements were pleasant and staff emphatic which made it easier to deal with the due processes concerning the care of our sister. Both meetings were respectful of the emotion involved. Both were at a high professional standard.

Belvoir Court has been my mother's "home" for 4 years and I have nothing but praise for the service and care we have received. I have been present at varying times during the day and night and have always been impressed by the empathy and attitude of the staff. The hours are long and remuneration poor
but this does not prevent them from providing "sterling" care to all residents and relatives alike. This is a modern facility with well trained staff who deliver an excellent service at all the various stages. They are adaptable and enable residents to maintain their dignity at every stage of life.

Mum has been here nearly 5 years. She is well cared for, staff are polite and engage with residents. There have been problems in the past but I feel it is doing well under current management. Rooms are cleaned regularly and staff cope well with changeover of residents. Special requests (private room,
particular food can usually be met).
