All staff within Cathedral Care Home were excellent whilst my husband was in their care. Although he was only there for a relatively short time frame, he was welcomed into the family atmosphere by all management, nursing and other staff within the facility, who accommodated his needs, and gave him the care and dignity he required. This care, help and guidance was also extended to myself and our daughter whilst visiting. I would highly recommend Cathedral Care Home.

My Uncle was placed at Cathedral for palliative care. From the minute he arrived to when he passed he was treated with dignity and an exceptional level of care. His room was clean and tidy and he had doors out into a garden area where he could see and hear the birds.
Tanya and Sam in the management team were very good and I thank them for their efficiency and help.
Special praise has to go to 2 people though. Firstly Sophie who was in charge on Sat 30th. She was fantastic and genuinely cared so much about the people in her care. She treated my Uncle with respect and dignity and when I wasn't able to be with him, she spent time with him, set up a bird feeder for him to see the birds close up and kept me updated every step of the way. Her warmth and personality shone through.

Last but no means least, Julie the cleaner. When I first met Julie I thought she was part of the management team, she was that good and supportive. It shows the caring mentality running throughout the team.

Cathedral Care Home was recommended to me by the daughter of another resident, I am pleased that I took a look.
My sister became a resident in October 2024, and from the start I have felt that she has received nothing but the best care. The staff relate to her needs and whims. I have noted the quality of care comes from the top down, with both the management and staff doing the best for the residents in a caring manner.

I am fully confident she is being cared and looked after in the best possible way.

Thank you so much for your lovely message, Lesley! I'll be sure to pass your kind words on to the team - they truly mean a lot to us all.

It's an absolute pleasure having your sister with us. She is very much part of our little management team and always brightens our days with her wonderful personality and smile. Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review.

During mum's stay at this home she enjoyed taking part in a range of activities, was encouraged to make new friends and received very good personal care. I respected the kindness demonstrated by various staff members throughout the last few months however the one to one care, overwhelming compassion and gentle approach shown to mum and my family during mum's final week was outstanding. There were several individuals who went over and above their job description, showing such sensitivity to ensure that mum maintained her dignity right to the end. Thank you!

We had to place my mum in care last June - having experienced a dreadful care home in the past for my father, I was dreading it. However Cathedral Care Centre is not like any care home I've ever come across. Firstly mum's room is beautiful and large with a lovely big window - comfy armchair and TV provided. The meals are amazing plus all the daily treats that come around. The activities have been carefully selected taking in account each residents hobbies and interests. My mum is crazy about Elvis - so they regularly have an Elvis impersonator come in and put on a show - to see my mum dancing and singing along is so heartwarming. Mum has her hair and nails done regularly- she is always clean and fresh and wearing all her own clothes (that wasn't the case where my dad was). The staff are so warm and friendly and nothing is too much to ask. Living in New Zealand, I get to see lots of posts on social media - my friend regularly visits mum and says she could move in herself!

Can't fault Cathedral Care Centre. My mum's quality of life has improved immeasurably since she moved there. The staff are all wonderful and can't do enough. Having experienced other Lincoln care homes with my dad, Cathedral is leaps and bounds superior.

Thank you to all the amazing staff that help her have a safe and as normal a life as possible and enable her to retain her dignity. She's always clean, nicely dressed and other than the confusion dementia brings, she hasn't looked as well in years.

The team at the home is so kind, patient, and supportive of my Dad - three years on from my last review the standard of care is still excellent, the food is great and the home is clean and welcoming. They have shown endless patience and kindness with Dad. The team is always very friendly, on hand, and happy to see relatives when we arrive. The strong ethos of care, kindness, and respect for residents is manifest and prevails throughout the entire organisation. Thank you so much!

Mum has been a resident at Cathedral Care Centre for almost four years (including the COVID lockdown periods).

Throughout all of her time at CCC, Mum has been well looked after. The staff are genuinely caring and relate well to residents. All the staff from the manager to on-site maintenance work as a team to ensure residents are well cared for. The new manager (Jan 24) is also providing a big asset.

I was taken there by ambulance after a breakdown and stroke on Thursday 30th of March this year. I was unconscious. Recovered my facilities and settled in for a new there in room 7. Very nice room overlooking the central lawn, in view of the national flag and look after the bird feeder and the squirrels!

I came into the Cathedral Care Centre after a trip at home, I'm currently on respite care, the staff made me feel welcome the moment I was greeted at the front door. The home is warm and friendly. My stay in one word 'Lovely' and the staff are doing a fantastic job, not just for me but everyone. I am a vegan and the kitchen staff ensure my diet is followed, I was at the Cathedral for their Halloween party, there was plenty of food for me to eat, the staff joined in and it was one big happy party. I found the cooking club to be fun with plenty of laughing with other residents. I have been studying natural health all my adult life, I have written a book called 'Powerful Cancer Fighting-Foods' staff will sit with me talking about my book, listening to my stories, it is lovely that they are interested in my writing and take time to spend time with me. I just wish I could be here for Christmas, but my respite care would have ended and I will be back at home.

My dad is currently having respite here and this will be his second visit. My dad has Alzheimer’s, the manager of Cathedral Court Centre is lovely along with the other staff, other residents and all the care, food, services they provide, all of this is really good. The building and its rooms are perfect and my dad is happy here, the food is good. The staff are really nice and I think the manager does an amazing job. Inside it is clean, nicely decorated and you get the instant home from home feel. It is well organised and very friendly. I cannot fault this home. They tailor the care and support for each and every person. I would recommend this home with no hesitation and feel it provides an excellent service all-round.

My father was admitted for respite care. He didn't want to be there at all. He desperately wanted to be back home. He, therefore, didn't make life easy for the staff. The staff were amazing and very soon built a great rapport with my father. He had just made the decision to stay at the care home and not go back home when he was taken ill and sadly passed away in hospital. I can't thank the staff enough for the care and dedication they showed my father. I visited the home after his passing to collect his things and everyone there showed such compassion. I was very happy with the service provided for the whole of my father's stay.

My mother-in-law was admitted to Cathedral Care Centre for rehabilitation after a recent fall and a stay in hospital. From the first point of contact, which was a telephone call with the care home manager, to her admission I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has, and still is receiving. All the staff we have met have been so friendly and caring not just towards my mother-in-law but also towards me and the rest of the family. Any questions we have had have been dealt with quickly and efficiently and nothing has been too much trouble. My mother-in-law has been treated with respect and care at all times.
