My wife has resided in Abington Park View for 5 years now, and she has consistently been cared for with a profound grace, compassion and dignity. She has found a thankful, serene peace, surely the most precious gift of all. We, as a family know that when we leave, there are never any concerns. We are treated as a family how special!

My aunt moved into Abington Park View Care Home in August 2025, and from the outset we have been impressed by the warmth and kindness shown to her. The staff have consistently treated her with dignity, patience and genuine care. What stands out most is how engaged they are with all residents - everyone is encouraged to come downstairs and join in. Care is clearly individualised, and there is a strong emphasis on understanding her preferences, routines and personality. The manager is particularly committed to person-centred care, and that attitude comes through in the whole team. Staff are attentive, approachable, and clearly motivated by wanting to do the right thing for residents on a day-to-day basis. What matters most to our family is the lived experience of care - and we feel reassured knowing my aunt is in a place where she is treated as an individual, and where kindness is at the heart of how care is delivered. It feels as much like home as a care setting possibly could.

My dad has been at Abingdon Park View since April 2025. He has presented staff with many challenges, yet all the staff we have encountered have been incredibly patient and understanding. My dad relates well with the staff most of the time. The manager, Sarah, has gone above and beyond to accommodate my dad, despite the challenges and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of his needs that we have not encountered in previous care homes.

My mum has been a resident at Abington Park View for four and a half years, and I can't imagine anywhere better for her needs. Choosing the right care home wasn't something we took lightly. We visited more than ten different places before making our decision. Abington Park View stood out from the start. The manager, clearly explained how they care for dementia residents, putting their needs first, and we could see what a great team she had put in place. We've had absolutely no regrets about our choice. The home is run brilliantly, with plenty of activities and regular visitors coming in to keep everyone engaged. The staff truly go above and beyond. You can tell they care. Every time we visit, we're made to feel welcome, and that's much appreciated. What is vital is that they really listen. If we ever think Mum needs something or have any concerns, they take our views on board straightaway. It's such a friendly place with a real community feel. Honestly, I can't think of a better

My mum has been a resident of APV for almost six years. In that time, the level of care, compassion, love and spiritual support has been outstanding. As mum's condition has deteriorated we have been kept informed of her care and support to ensure that they are in accordance with both her and our wishes. APV is a lovely, welcoming home with a fantastic and caring team.

My mum was a resident at Abington Park View for three years before she passed away last month. Trusting the welfare of a loved one to someone outside of the family is a big step and we were anxious at first but the amazing staff at Abington Park View soon put our minds at ease. Everyone is so caring and the atmosphere is one of a home from home. Right from the start, Mum was treated as an individual with the staff wanting to know what made her happy and what her interests were - this made such a difference to her quality of life. Important days such as Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary were always marked in some way, such as Dad being invited to come and share a special meal with Mum. We always felt included in Mum's care with regular updates and the opportunity to take part in online meetings. My family and I are so grateful that Mum's final years were spent in such a caring, safe, and happy environment.

Mum was living at Abington Park View for three years before she passed away in August 2024. It was a very difficult time when it became clear that, due to the progression of Alzheimer's, it was no longer possible for us to care for Mum at home. We looked at many homes before deciding that Abington Park View was the one where we thought she would be happiest and we were not disappointed. The care she received was second to none and it was such a comfort to know that Mum was safe, happy, and loved. We were involved in all decisions made about mum's care and always kept fully informed. Mum was treated with the utmost respect and all of the staff were friendly, loving, and caring. They do everything possible to ensure that the residents remain as active as possible and have a happy and fulfilled life. Every member of staff at Abington Park View is professional and totally dedicated to the residents they care for. We cannot thank them enough for making mum's last three years such happy ones.

My mum was a resident here for just under 3 years. We were very upset that she needed to go into a care home but almost straight we could see that this was the perfect place for her. The staff were wonderful. It really felt like walking into a family home. Mum was never in her room, except to sleep. She was always being kept active, both mentally and physically. Staff very quickly worked out what mum loved to do (look after others) and set about making sure she could do this by safely including her in helping to tidy, serve dinner and look after the 'babies' (dolls). This was key to mum having a full and happy life. They always included us in all the social events at the home and each member of staff became friends to us as a family. We really felt they loved having mum there and when she passed away last month, the staff were visibly upset, which goes to show the level they care for their residents. We're so happy she spent her final years here, happy, safe and loved. Thank you

A great care home that I would recommend to anyone. My mum was there from October 2019 until she passed away in June 2024. The care she received was second to none from start to end. Staff are very caring and have such a positive attitude, not just to the residents but to everyone who visits the home. Residents are treated with dignity and safety measures are implemented to suit every situation.
When my mum began to deteriorate rapidly and needed more support, this was discussed with us so we were fully involved in all decisions. The end-of-life care she received was excellent, as was the support we were given during the very hard final visits.

Overall, Abington Park View is like a home from home for those staying there and the staff are dedicated to making life interesting and keeping residents as active as possible through lots of activities, i.e. visits from a local nursery, religious services, seasonal crafts, and quizzes.
