Abington Park View Care Home

Overall, Abington Park View is like a home from home for those staying there and the staff are dedicated to making life interesting and keeping residents as active as possible through lots of activities, i.e. visits from a local nursery, religious services, seasonal crafts, and quizzes.

The staff and management were always kind and helpful and very accommodating when I visited my relative in their care cannot praise them highly enough they are always available to help with the residents nothing is too much trouble.

Would Abington Park View Care Home be the new home for my wife? No worries! Management and staff are a great team. A caring and homely group with a 'can do' attitude toward keeping residents safe, comfortable and content, with dignity. It's first names for staff and residents alike, rooms are kept clean and bright. All are ensuite with safety in mind, windows only open ajar to minimise risks. Special safety mats are fitted to emit a signal to night staff to warn that the resident is treading on the mat during the dark hours. There we have it, a well run care home by a dedicated team for the benefit of residents in a safe, secure and homely atmosphere, namely the Abington Park View Care Home.

My father spent his last 4 years of his life at Abington Park View and they could not have been more caring and attentive to my needs. All the staff are dedicated to providing the best possible care they can.

They provided a safe place and a sympathetic environment for each individual resident.

Mum-in-law has been in the home for four years now and during that time the care has been exceptional. The staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. The environment is always clean and the decorations are very cheerful. It is a welcoming environment at all times.

I never thought of the day that Mum would go into a care home, as our mum was always looking after us, right to the day she couldn't. Mum went into two respites, and they definitely don't stand up to Abington Park View. The care that is received is all we can ask for. She has a lovely room, which is always clean, and the food is all made fresh, which I am sure when Mum could eat, she enjoyed it, especially the cake. The care that I have witnessed has always been kind and respectful, and I have never heard a carer's voice raised to any of the residents. Overall, I am truly grateful for all that they do for our mum.

My mother has been a resident at Abington Park View for over three years. The levels of cleanliness and hygiene are high and well maintained, the manager and her colleague are friendly and approachable and always happy to help with any concerns the family may have. The interaction between the carers and residents is warm and caring. My mother's needs are complex, as a family we are confident that the manager and her team meet Mum's needs, comfort and safety with kindness, patience and dignity. It is reassuring to know my mother is in such good hands.

We, as a family, are truly grateful she is in safe hands that have her best interests at heart. Thank you.

The home is friendly, clean and the staff are very hard working and attend the residents and the visitors needs.

I could not praise the staff enough, for the love, care and passion they have for all of their residents. The warmth and comfort I personally received will never go forgotten. Always clean and the residents always happy. The care that everyone gave to my grandad was excellent. Unfortunately, we lost grandad in April but the staff on shift that day took so much care of us as a family. I visited yesterday to say hello to staff and residents and was welcomed with open arms, activities and games being led by staff and the interaction with all residents was great. Each resident is well known and small things to help them feel more at home are thought of and put in place. Thank you to those special people who loved my grandad with us.

The home is welcoming at all times and keeps in regular contact during which it is apparent the staff know and care about the residents. Staff are retained with a low turnover. Any requests are quickly actioned. The residents look well and are clean and tidy. The meals especially the afternoon tea style of the evening meal are attractive and appetising.

I have found the care given to my mother (and other residents) has been first rate, I can think of no negatives at all. From the manageress, and carers to the cook - all very friendly with nothing too much trouble, regular updates either by email or phone. The home is very clean and well-maintained. I would not hesitate in recommending Abington Park View.

Abington Park View is a caring establishment where staff understand and support the individual needs of residents. The well-being of residents is their number one priority. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. The care home is always clean and there is a programme of improvements always geared towards improving the quality of life of residents. The way in which the home has cared for residents during the Covid-19 pandemic is exemplary. I have nothing but admiration for the work of the carers. Abington Park View is a true 'home'.

My husband and I are extremely happy with my late mother-in-law’s care at this home. The staff were extremely caring and kind and did everything possible to make sure her needs and wishes were met. The home is extremely clean and she had a really lovely room with a great outlook over to the park. We cannot praise the staff highly enough with the standard of care she received, following the upheaval of moving to Northampton from Essex, where she had lived for many years. We would not hesitate to recommend the home to anyone who needed a residential home for a relative.

My sister-in-law has settled down remarkably quickly and is very happy. All of which must be a tribute to the quality of the staff and management and the very high standard of care and attention provided.

I have absolutely nothing but love and admiration for everyone at Abington Park View.
