My wife has resided in Abington Park View for 5 years now, and she has consistently been cared for with a profound grace, compassion and dignity. She has found a thankful, serene peace, surely the most precious gift of all. We, as a family know that when we leave, there are never any concerns. We are treated as a family how special!

Overall Experience

My aunt moved into Abington Park View Care Home in August 2025, and from the outset we have been impressed by the warmth and kindness shown to her. The staff have consistently treated her with dignity, patience and genuine care. What stands out most is how engaged they are with all residents - everyone is encouraged to come downstairs and join in. Care is clearly individualised, and there is a strong emphasis on understanding her preferences, routines and personality. The manager is particularly committed to person-centred care, and that attitude comes through in the whole team. Staff are attentive, approachable, and clearly motivated by wanting to do the right thing for residents on a day-to-day basis. What matters most to our family is the lived experience of care - and we feel reassured knowing my aunt is in a place where she is treated as an individual, and where kindness is at the heart of how care is delivered. It feels as much like home as a care setting possibly could.

As a daughter, choosing the right care home for my dad was one of the most important and emotional decisions I've ever made, and I can honestly say that placing him here was the best choice we could have made. From the very beginning, the staff have been exceptional kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They treat my dad with dignity and respect at all times, and it's clear they truly take the time to get to know each resident as an individual, not just someone in their care. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and communication with the family is always open, reassuring, and thoughtful. The food deserves a special mention. It's fresh, nutritious, and beautifully presented, with plenty of choice. My dad genuinely looks forward to his meals, which says everything, and it's comforting to know he's eating so well. The amenities are excellent, clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to feel homely rather than clinical. There is also a wide range of activities available.

Elmfield has been the best thing for Nan. The staff have been very welcoming to Nan and the whole family. It has a very homely feel, and the residents are all very well looked after. We have seen a big improvement in Nan and she is very happy in her new home.

Digby Manor is like home from home. My dad is very well looked after. The staff communicate well and keep us informed. We have access to the care records so we can see all the care Dad receives. In the last 12 months the home has had major transformation and the lounge extended. There is now a lovely spacious environment. The residents are kept busy and stimulated by lots of different activities, regular singalong sessions which are very popular. So happy we found Digby Manor for Dad. Staff cater for his every need and are so friendly and professional.

Digby Manor is excellent. My dad has been here five years now. He is very well looked after. The carers are all hard-working and always friendly.
