Overall Experience

I find Abington Park View to be a friendly, welcoming and caring place. There is a consistent staff group who are caring and supportive and treat residents as individuals, with due respect and dignity. I feel that my Mum's needs are met and that her choices and views are considered. The home offers quiet spaces but there are generally a variety of activities to stimulate residents and make their often difficult situations interesting and fun. I also feel respected and listened to as a family member. The home itself is bright, modern and clean and provides a comfortable, homely living environment.

I feel fortunate that Mum receives such care. Thanks to all the staff.

I have to leave the country for months at a time, sometimes on little notice. I can totally depend on the staff to care for my mum.
The thing that you will notice from your first contact with APV and Sarah-Jane is how much you as a family are supported. You can always call. You will always be offered refreshments and full meals. You will always have a shoulder to cry on. You will never be judged. You will quickly be able to return to being a daughter, partner, relative or friend again. This has been an incredible blessing for us and for my Mum and her husband's relationship. On their 30th anniversary APV even decorated her bedroom.

We have not looked back since my Mum moved in. We were hyper aware of how difficult it is to move someone to a new home once they move in somewhere so we visited 6 or more places first. We have definitely had first best for my Mum and her husband who visits daily.

Every time I visit my father, I'm impressed by the level of care he receives. The food is freshly cooked and consistently high quality, and there's a good range of activities on offer that they regularly change up to keep things interesting. My dad also loves the beautiful walks on the green, it is clear he is happy and well looked after here.

Overall Experience

The summer party given this afternoon was absolutely wonderful for residents, family and friends. All of the staff were as kind, attentive, and pleasant as usual.
The female entertainer sang a wide range of songs that all could join in with. Raffles and tombola were fun. Barbie gorgeous and huge buffets, plenty of hot and cold drinks. Some really happy memories were made.

My dear mum is a resident here. She came in April after a couple of falls at home and my sister and I were so worried about having to look for residential care after looking after her in her home until she was 88. We needn't have worried!! Mum is so very happy here because the staff are wonderful, kind, attentive, loving and they treat her like she's their own mother. As you can see, from the ratings I have ticked, that Digby Manor is a very good home. As a carer myself many years ago, I looked carefully where my husband was going to spend his last years. The home is lovely and clean. The residents are cared for physically & mentally. The staff are loving & kind to their "family". The cook visits each resident giving them choice & encouragement. The management are always ready to listen & solve enquiries & opinions in all directions of caring for residents. I often recommend Digby Manor to friends.

My aunt moved into Abington Park View Care Home in August 2025, and from the outset we have been impressed by the warmth and kindness shown to her. The staff have consistently treated her with dignity, patience and genuine care. What stands out most is how engaged they are with all residents - everyone is encouraged to come downstairs and join in. Care is clearly individualised, and there is a strong emphasis on understanding her preferences, routines and personality. The manager is particularly committed to person-centred care, and that attitude comes through in the whole team. Staff are attentive, approachable, and clearly motivated by wanting to do the right thing for residents on a day-to-day basis. What matters most to our family is the lived experience of care - and we feel reassured knowing my aunt is in a place where she is treated as an individual, and where kindness is at the heart of how care is delivered. It feels as much like home as a care setting possibly could.
