Sibbertoft Manor is a family run Nursing Home near Market Harborough. They have a fantastic care team who genuinely care about the residents, ensuring they are getting the best person centred care and maintaining their independence. They have very low levels of staff turnover, never utilising agency staff, meaning residents really get to know all of the staff on a personal level and generates a true "family feel".

The home has a full-time activities calendar focusing on keeping residents active and engaged. The beautiful grounds include a paved woodland walk and manicured gardens for residents to enjoy in good weather. They have maintained an elegant family feel within an impressive Manor House setting, whilst also having all of the expected amenities of a modern Nursing Home. Residents are also active in the community, making regular trips into Market Harborough, the village Church, attending school plays and hosting Open Days and village fetes.

They are independently owned and Nurse run, meaning that residents' wellbeing is always put before generating profits, whilst also ensuring they are fully compliant with CQC, helping to build on their current "Good" rating (July 2023).

My husband arrived at Sibbertoft Manor after a stay in hospital and an assessment in a care home. He was deteriorating with Alzheimer's and an open cancer operation on his leg. Since arriving at Sibbertoft Manor Nursing home he has gained weight and is much calmer than before. The atmosphere is quiet,
peaceful and happy. Personal hygiene is a high priority in the home and staff are very attentive to individual needs of the residents.
It caters for all personalities, my husband is quite quiet and introvert but is included in any activities if he wishes, and is cared for in every way.
We as a family could not wish for a better care home for my husband and thank everyone for the wonderful attention he receives.

From the very first day Sibbertoft Manor staff showed their professionalism with delivering care, with compassion and dignity to all of their residents and visitors. The home itself is warm and inviting with a varied entertainments programme. The staff are always courteous and work well as a team
which is reflected in the atmosphere you feel once you step through the door of Sibbertoft Manor.

The care received at Sibbertoft Manor is excellent. The staff show genuine care for the residents, treating them with dignity and respect. With residents happiness, welfare and safety at the forefront. They have a wide range of activities, and a variety of menus to choose from. Regular meetings are
held, giving a chance for residents to raise any issues, concerns and suggestions. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sibbertoft Manor to anyone considering care options.

Sibbertoft Manor is an excellent care house. It has been my ninety-six year old mother-in-law's home for almost two years. In that time her health has improved due to the good and reliable care she receives. Every effort is made to arrange interesting activities; the staff even supported and encouraged
us in arranging a glider flight this summer!

We're truly grateful to everyone at Sibbertoft Care Home. From the very first day, the staff have shown my Dad such kindness, patience, and genuine care, helping him settle in wonderfully-he's now more relaxed, content, and happier than he has been in a long time.

The warm atmosphere and attention

to his needs have given our family real peace of mind. We couldn't ask for better care. Sibbertoft is brilliant-10/10. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

The best care home I have ever been in, for a start it doesn't smell of urine which invariably others do that i have been in within Leicestershire. Staff are excellent, most of the staff are also long term which is an really good indication. My Mum is treated kindly, with respect and patience. I would
recommend Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home without hesitation.

Mum has been a resident at Sibbertoft for more than 6 years and the care she has received throughout her stay has been excellent. The carers are wonderful - genuinely caring, thoughtful and patient, the nursing staff are always on the ball, addressing any medical issues promptly and referring on to
other healthcare professionals when needed, the team responsible for entertainment provide an extensive programme of imaginative, fun and appropriate activities ( who knew that wheelchair ice skating was a thing!!), the catering staff provide some lovely home cooked meals and fabulous cakes! and the gardens are beautiful with many places to sit and enjoy the flowers and wildlife.

Residents are cared for with dignity and respect. The care received is excellent. There is a good range of activities and a good choice of food. The quality of the food is good. The laundry service is excellent. Transport to hospital and other healthcare appointments is provided, which is really helpful.
Residents wishes are accommodated wherever possible. Communication between the management, the staff and residents is very good. Safety is addressed, whilst balancing the need for resident's privacy and dignity.

It's a comfort to know mum's looked after by such a wonderful & caring team. Many of the staff have been there years which, in the caring sector, is not nessarily the norm. In the last few years mum's mental & physical health has deteriorated but she has never been treated with anything other than
care, respect and patience - for the person she is and was.
Sibbertoft is excellent in keeping us informed being very good at developing personal relationships which comes from 'the top'. Tom is around much of the time and personnally knows each resident and their families. (Tom grew up around older people. His children often visit the residents/numerous great grandparents! Mum loves to see the little one and have a cuddle.)
There is a constant programme of activities & entertainment with staff dedicated to these.
The fabric of the place is well maintained and - partucarly important to my mum - the laundry is excellent.
Very, very happy with Sibbertoft as are my siblings.

Sibbertoft Manor go over and above with their care for a dementia patient. My Mum was poorly with a chest infection and after a few days had to be submitted to hospital. Sibbertoft kept me informed fully about Mum's care.

This is one of the few remaining family run care home businesses and it shows. The staff are attentive and compassionate, taking time to get to know and understand the residents as individuals. Residents are treated respectfully and with regard to their autonomy and dignity. I have had experience of
a number of other care homes in the area and this one is head and shoulders above the others. The beautiful building lends itself to activities and feeling at home while being part of a community.

The organisation, staff, ethos and facilities are the best I have ever seen in a nursing home. The organisation includes meaningful engagement with the residents through events and activities on an almost daily basis. The staff are well organised, kind, considerate and proactive whenever there is a
need for action. The ethos from the top management down shows kindness and respect to everyone. The meals are balanced, well prepared and tailored to the resident's needs and the the home is kept very clean. Top job from everyone. Thank you so much.

I cannot sing Sibbertoft Manor's praises enough!

My mother has been in their tender, loving care for over a year and a half, and I could not be more grateful. The team's dedication, compassion, communication and enthusiasm for every resident is truly outstanding.

Living abroad myself, it gives

me such peace of mind to know that my mother is cared for in the best possible way - safe, happy and truly "home from home."

Sibbertoft Manor is a wonderful nursing home that makes everyone feel welcome whether they are a resident or visitor. All of the staff are kind, compassionate and clearly know both their residents and visitors. I recently visited my aunt who was wonderfully looked after during her lunch by an amazing
member of staff. She was treated with kindness, dignity and listened too so patiently sharing jokes and anecdotes. As part of the same visit, I attended my aunt's Care Plan Review conducted by one of the senior nursing staff. As always, this was conducted in detail with clear explanations of every facet of my aunt's care, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, give feedback and input. A thoroughly professional experience.
Sibbertoft Manor is always looking for ways to improve the care they offer my aunt, from personal elements to more general aspects like new furniture and fixtures. Sibbertoft Manor is an excellent nursing home and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Sibbertoft is a lovely place, and we are happy and relieved that my dear wife is living there. There is nowhere we would rather she was. The staff are lovely, and the management, who stay commendably close to the action, are competent and responsive and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. Oh and the

Sibbertoft Manor truly feels like a home - not just for its residents, but also for their families and visitors. The staff are warm, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to getting to know each resident as an individual, with their unique story and background. Everyone is treated with dignity, kindness,
and respect. They listen to the opinions of relatives and act upon suggestions.
My mother, with advanced dementia, lived at Sibbertoft Manor for 18 months. It was the only place where she was seen as a person living with dementia, rather than just a set of challenges. The home is spotless, with beautiful grounds and delicious food.
Staffing ratios are high with experienced staff and the advantage of a nursing home is that Mum could stay without ever having to go to hospital. In Mum's final days, the care provided by the staff - not only to her, but also to us as a family - was exceptional. We are deeply grateful and thank them all from the bottom of our hearts.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.941)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.941) out of 10 for Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 30 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.941 for Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (339 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 358 Ratings = 4.941
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home is based on 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4, which has been reached with 30 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
