Sibbertoft Manor is a family run Nursing Home near Market Harborough. They have a fantastic care team who genuinely care about the residents, ensuring they are getting the best person centred care and maintaining their independence. They have very low levels of staff turnover, never utilising agency staff, meaning residents really get to know all of the staff on a personal level and generates a true "family feel".

The home has a full-time activities calendar focusing on keeping residents active and engaged. The beautiful grounds include a paved woodland walk and manicured gardens for residents to enjoy in good weather. They have maintained an elegant family feel within an impressive Manor House setting, whilst also having all of the expected amenities of a modern Nursing Home. Residents are also active in the community, making regular trips into Market Harborough, the village Church, attending school plays and hosting Open Days and village fetes.

They are independently owned and Nurse run, meaning that residents' wellbeing is always put before generating profits, whilst also ensuring they are fully compliant with CQC, helping to build on their current "Good" rating (July 2023).

My mother was treated with care and respect. The entertainment and activities are excellent. The only issue was often staff had poor language skills so communication could be difficult. But there was no lack of care and empathy.

We are immensely grateful for the care and professionalism shown to our family members resident for 8-9 years in total. It was not always easy for my stepmother who was blind, but she was able to settle down to a new life with help from many good staff members.

Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home provided excellent palliative care to my father and to us as relatives. The care staff are their greatest asset. They genuinely care and do their utmost to make sure the people they look after are comfortable and above all feel loved and cared for.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I chose Sibbertoft Manor for my mother as it is a very homely environment for all the residents, however, families can be reassured that the professional manner in which they look after residents' health and social needs is second to none which gives one tremendous peace of mind.
The home is well
run and all the excellent staff are very caring and compassionate to all of those lucky enough to call Sibbertoft Manor their home. Throughout her time there, Mum was treated with dignity and respect and staff were wonderful at anticipating her needs.
The setting of the home is in beautiful Northamptonshire countryside which adds to the positive external environment which the residents are encouraged to use and enjoy. The atmosphere in the home is welcoming and calm. They have a great activities program and all residents are encouraged to participate.
My Mum was fortunate to spend 18 months at Sibbertoft and it gives me great comfort that they made her time there so happy. Thank you all.

My sister was a resident of Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home for 5 years.
I have a high regard for the matron and staff as they did everything possible to make my sister's last years as comfortable as possible by recognising and satisfying her every need.
The staff work professionally but each resident
receives loving care. When you walk through the front door, this is so evident. This cannot be measured easily in a questionnaire but you feel it none the less.

My father lived here from February 2017 to April 2019. (He died in hospital).
It is a very well-run home, with a calm and pleasant atmosphere, set in lovely gardens.
The quality of the staff is outstanding. The Matron is excellent; she is very much a hands-on manager. The nurses and carers are first-rate
professionals; senior staff are very experienced and knowledgeable. Staff know each resident very well and care is tailored to the individual, including their life history and interests.
When Dad first moved in he was not at all happy; he was helped to feel at home, and shown a lot of affection, kindness and empathy.
All staff, including housekeepers and maintenance, are caring, cheerful and friendly. Dad enjoyed chatting and sharing a joke with his friends.
Dad was encouraged to be more active: he went for walks around the grounds most days; he practiced golf shots; he was taught to do exercises.
There is a wide range of activities available and some good visiting entertainers.

As I spent most afternoons with my husband, I was very aware of the kindness and consideration of all of the staff. I have the greatest admiration for their ability to cope with all manner of circumstances often requiring great tact and patience. In my husband's final days, I received the same care
and attention making a difficult time very peaceful.

Since admission to the home in early 2014, my mum received excellent standards of care and living attention by all the staff at Sibbertoft.
As her illness increasingly took over in more recent times, she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. We appreciate especially the help and care given
in her last moments.
The gardens and facilities are excellent and the events created for the residents' benefit are all very thoughtful and appropriate. Difficult to improve on that.

My aunt, aged 95, died in Sibbertoft Manor of old age. She was wonderfully cared for and loved by the staff. Her bed was moved so she could see the sun, she was hand fed and kept so beautifully. The care home staff were generous, kind and caring in terms of my aunt - to me, they were thoughtful, communicative
and extremely competent in an inclusive way.

This is a first class nursing care home. Standards of care, food, hygiene all excellent. Most noticeable is the almost zero staff turnover, meaning that the staff bond with the residents and this leads to a much higher level of care and satisfaction for both partners.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.941)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.941) out of 10 for Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 30 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.941 for Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (339 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 358 Ratings = 4.941
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Sibbertoft Manor Nursing Home is based on 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4, which has been reached with 30 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
