My mum has recently come to the Beeches Care Home for end of life care. She has settled really well and the transition has been very smooth. I feel that this is because of the commitment and care that the staff have shown towards her. She is happy here and that is because her needs are met.

The home went above and beyond to help my gran's 90th Birthday to be a memorable one! They baked a cake, facilitated all our decorations and requests and really made a fuss of her. We're really grateful we were able to enjoy a last Birthday with her. Thank you!

In extremely difficult circumstances due to Covid-19, I would like to thank all the staff involved in the care of my Mum. On Tuesday after a phone call with her, I was quite upset and rang back and spoke to a member of the care team who let me offload my worries to her. I felt so much better afterwards.
The staff doesn't care only for their residents but the families too. Thank you again.

My Mother moved into the Beeches in September 2020 and I can honestly say that I am impressed with her care up to now. The staff and carers are very polite, courteous, respectful and go out of their way to help in what is a very demanding and difficult job especially with Covid-19 to deal with as well,
cannot fault the home, carers or staff, 10/10 on all fronts.

My mother has been a resident at the Beeches for three and half years now and I can honestly say the care she gets is amazing. Staff and management are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. My mother is always happy in her own way and is always clean and looks well. Covid has been very
tough for us as a family not been able to go and see her but looking through the window all the residents look so well and happy which means a lot to us as a family. So can't thank the staff enough for all their hard work and loving care in this tough period.

Very clean and hygienic. Staff and carers are all very nice. Food is generally very nice, occasionally can be a bit hit or miss. Respectful of privacy. Respectful when having personal care. Sometimes clothing goes missing.

We have found the care at Beeches to be very good. Pleasant and caring staff, regular updates to keep us informed. Mum is in the last stage of dementia, but we have no concerns over Mum's care. We are confident Mum is very well looked after.

Staff shortages and poor management for some time and no signs of any changes apart from a new manager due end of September. The staff are doing their best under the circumstances but not functioning as a team and don't have time to give the attention required.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“For me, kindness means treating everyone with respect and treating everyone as an individual, being a great listener and helping people to make their own choices and not to judge people.”


Donna has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.


Having worked in the care sector for many years, Donna closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Donna remarked:


“My favourite thing about being a Home Manager is to make people feel happy and to smile each day and to feel valued. I like to care for people and give them a better quality of life, while helping them retain their independence.”


Donna says her proudest achievement as Home Manager has been:


“Being able to deliver excellent care and having an excellent team working with me.”


Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time with her family and dog, going on holiday, going out for walks and being out in the open air.
