Staff shortages and poor management for some time and no signs of any changes apart from a new manager due end of September. The staff are doing their best under the circumstances but not functioning as a team and don't have time to give the attention required.

My mother-in-law is very happy at the Beeches. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you have everything you want and the care is outstanding.

Food is wonderful and lots of entertainment for those who want it. Every effort is made to make sure relatives, as well as residents, are happy.

The Beeches is a bright, friendly, welcoming home. It has a homely feel while maintaining all the requirements needed to meet the various regulations. It is well organised, there are lots of activities and events residents can choose to join in with if they wish.

The staff are kind, caring, smartly dressed in relevant uniforms according to their role. Name badges really help. They put the resident's needs first which is fantastic.

Beeches Care Home is always a pleasant place to walk into with the staff always willing to help and are polite. This home is always very clean and homely. When a problem does arise it gets taken care of and to me, the best it can be. Wouldn't want my mum anywhere else. When the weather was nice, it would be nice if residents could get taken out more, even if it is just into the garden!

Reply from Clare Sheehan, Careline Advisor at Beeches Care Home

Thank you for the positive feedback regarding the Home and staff. I have noted your concern and value your comments regarding Residents going outside. We always encourage Residents to enjoy our lovely gardens and to relax under the shade of the gazebo. Next Spring when the weather warms up we aim to make more use of our minibus with visits to local parks and attractions.

Mum was a resident at the Beeches Care HOme from May 2016. All the time she was a resident she was happy and extremely well cared for. The staff treated her as an individual and responded to her needs at all times. Her end of life care was exemplary for both mum and the family, could not be faulted. Many many thanks to the whole of the team.
