The fees above provides indicative top-up amounts, based on an initial needs assessment. These figures are intended as a general guide only, and all fee discussions will be held on an individual basis.

On our first visit (my wife and I) we were delighted with the welcome from the staff, the clean, light, and fresh air ambience of the home.
My aunty has dementia but is still full of her old personality and characteristics. The kindly and attentive staff encourage her to be herself: Fortunately, she is fairly active and insists on walking around without a stick but always under the watchful eye of the staff. In good weather, a keen gardener in her day, she visits the home's own garden.

She told us she likes her bed and her room is a happy, contented looking place with personal mementoes from her own home.

My mom was in a bad way when she came to Charnwood Care Home 3 months ago; her dementia had taken its toll emotionally. Thanks to the wonderful staff, she is now mostly happy and far more content. All the staff I've had contact with have been truly kind and caring and any interactions with other residents I've witnessed/heard have backed this up. The carers 'care' which to me is what really matters.

After this past year as a full-time carer of Mum, who has vascular dementia, both myself and Mum were really ready for a break. It was so important to me that Mum enjoyed her stay and had a positive experience.
Charnwood Care Home provided a safe, friendly, professional and well organised home for Mum to receive the care she deserves. In these challenging times it was such a relief to see all the staff happy and caring and providing excellent, safe care.
Mum is happy to return and we have booked another short stay.

Thanks to all the staff.

Very accommodating and my aunt has been treated with compassion. My aunt was a caring nurse for years so it is such a relief to know she is happy and feels safe.

I haven't been in the main lounge/dining area since March but until then I found all the carers really friendly and helpful and the food was always geared to what my husband was able to eat. The domestic and catering staff were also very helpful and always very busy - also the activities person always tried to include everyone and spent time one-to-one with my husband. His medical needs are well catered for, and I am very pleased with his care at Charnwood.

Could not find a contact number after 22:00 to establish if my father had been kept in overnight at hospital on 28th November. Would like to see a 24-hour contact number on the website as current contact numbers prevent contact. No option to leave messages only cycle around options and prevent contact.

Thank you, James, for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you were unable to get in touch with our home. Our contact number is available on our website and we can be reached 24 hours a day. My grandmother required emergency dental care. This was highlighted to the care staff. A call was made and my grandmother was taken to the local dentist registered as a patient and received the care required. This was exceptional care given.

Thank you to the activities lady. She was amazing.

I visited my aunt today. I was extremely pleased with how happy my aunt was. The activity lady was extremely helpful to myself and my father. This lady also seemed to be engaging with the residents all the time, singing and pacifying one resident that seemed very uncomfortable in his chair. She was lovely.
