Dad has been at Church Farm for a number of years and we’ve found them all, from office staff to cleaners to kitchen to carers and management, to be wonderful at caring for him. It’s so difficult to care for others when they're not family but Church Farm Nursing Home are family, that’s how we look at
it. Thank you all so very much for everything you do for Dad.

We hit the jackpot when we found this nursing home for Dad following a significant stroke which left him with very high-level nursing and care needs which meant he couldn’t be cared for at home.
The staff have absolute unconditional positive regard and real love for all residents - who they call the
Church Farm family.
Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are truly amazing.

Church Farm is an amazing home from home. I decided to move my father as his dementia was getting worse and the care home he was in didn’t meet his needs any more. The Manager is fantastic. He keeps you up-to-date with everything. After my father had been there for just a few weeks my mother joined
him. Although she doesn’t really need nursing care, can be quite challenging. But she loves it they all make a fuss of her. What is obvious is that every member of the team are so loving and caring as if it was their own mum and dad.

Good meals, well cooked and tasty, could be a bit more variety. Mum is very well cared for by permanent staff. There do seem to be more activities in her lounge now and more participation from Mum is encouraged. All residents are treated equally whatever their capabilities. There is a nice relaxing
feel to the home environment with effort made to make the lounges feel like 'home'. Pets are encouraged for visits. All in all, a very good home with caring staff.

My father-in-law was only in Church Farm for a short time before he passes away. He was transferred there on palliative care from hospital. In this short time, my father-in-law was looked after extremely well. He was looked after and cared for beyond our expectations. On his first day there, they had
arranged the hairdresser to make a special visit to have him groomed. He looked the best he had looked for a very long time.

I came to visit my mother (I live in Australia). On arriving for my first visit not knowing what to expect, I was greeted by the most amazing staff. They are the most unbelievably helpful, caring, attentive people, I have ever met. They attended to my mother's needs as required. My mum's room was just
as I hoped, the food, cleanliness etc was just superb every time I came. You are all angels. Thank you.

Church Farm is a friendly, caring and supportive nursing home. Residents are cared for with dignity and encouraged to participate in relevant activities. It is reassuring to know my mum is safe and well cared for as POA all aspects of her care are discussed with me.

Mother seems to be very well looked after.
The vast majority of the staff are very patient with her, despite her being quite aggressive some of the time.
I have not eaten any meals but the homemade cakes are delicious.
In her previous care home she lost weight, in Church Farm she has put on weight
- speaks volumes for the care.

My husband has dementia and that is why we chose Church Farm Nursing Home. The food is of good quality and cooked on the premises. It always looks nicely presented. The staff are all very friendly and caring and welcome me when I visit my husband.

Church Farm provide just a few planned activities because we focus very much on ensuring that the people who live with us are enabled and supported to participate in a meaningful occupation that is relevant to them, their life history and also includes domestic aspects of life such as washing up, sweeping, gardening and other household activity. We are confident that these are suited for people living with dementia as they are familiar and do not challenge people to achieve an outcome. In addition, we enjoy music, walks in the gardens and some craft activities.

My mum lived in Church Farm for the last two years of her life.
From the very first day, we knew she was in the right place.
The staff were welcoming and kind to all of us and the atmosphere was so homely and comfortable.
Mum settled in like a bird in a nest, she obviously felt loved and cared for.
I
never saw her looking lost or afraid.
As Mum's condition worsened her care was increased sensitively.
It was a huge comfort to myself and my sisters to see Mum so well looked after from her first day to her last.

My sisters and I felt that our mother could not have been in a better place for her final few months. We always felt welcome and her care was excellent in every respect. Maggie

Maggie Griffiths

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2017

Maggie has worked in care for 25 years, starting her career as a care assistant. Over the years, Maggie has continued working and developing her career in elderly care becoming a deputy manager followed by a home manager in a residential care home. During this time, Maggie completed her NVQ Level 5 in Social Care Management.


Maggie then spent 18 months as a registered manager of a nursing home in Mansfield, working very closely with staff teams, residents and families to achieve positive recognition with the regulators. Maggie brings a broad variety of experience and success to her role with Church Farm Care; in providing an uncompromising approach to achieving high standards of care in the fields of dementia care, general nursing and end-of-life nursing care.


Maggie’s spare time is spent with her three children and new grandson, making sure she doesn’t miss every opportunity to make enjoyable memories for them all to share.
