My brother is very happy and feels safe. He is very well looked after and couldn't wish for more. Every time I have visited the staff are very friendly and caring. They always phone me to tell me how he is and if he has had the doctor or any procedure. I have no complaints at all. I think all the staff
need a medal.

Mum was cared for by exceptional staff.
Compared to the previous home Mum had been in for a few weeks, Lawn Park was 'heaven'.

From the first conversation with the care manager and interactions with the staff, I felt confident and reassured my mum was under a high standard of care. Medical and activities of daily living catered for. The commitment of care was deserved and understanding the residents individual requirements
was expressed. Time given to listen to families concerns was an optimum point of quality. My mum improved physically and medical areas of concern attended to. Thank you all, amazing.

The manager and staff take the best care of my mum. She looks so well and is always very smart in her appearance. This past year has been very difficult, but the staff at Lawn Park have been my mum's second family and I will always be grateful to them. Thank you to them all.

It's been a very difficult time for all of us since March, and, in particular, for Mum, who had only just moved into Lawn Park before the lockdown was imposed. Despite all of the issues, the management and staff have worked tirelessly and professionally to make sure Mum and all the residents were as
happy safe and as comfortable as possible, and I can't thank them enough. The home is run very professionally, and nothing is too much trouble. I know Mum is happy there and that means so much. The location next to the lovely park and lake is a delight, particularly in the summer.

I can't thank the staff enough for the care of my late grandmother. For making her last few days peaceful and pain-free, and for the kind care offered to my family in light of COVID, for allowing us to be there at the end.

The team at Lawn Park made my mum’s respite stay very special and happy for the whole family. In just two weeks, my brothers and I both saw a brighter, happier mum who thoroughly enjoyed the attention and care given to her by all the wonderful people who work there. The food was fantastic too and mum
was really happy to be down in the lounge socialising and feeling part of the home; which is a great contrast from being at home on her own most of the time.
We came to see mum over Christmas and what could have been quite a difficult day was made into a very special family occasion. My husband and teenage daughters were given a quiet private space and happy memories were made thanks to all of the team.
The final thing I need to mention was the welcome and goodbye my mum received when she arrived at Lawn Park and when she left. My mum clearly felt like the queen as genuine friendliness and kindness were bestowed on her. I cannot thank the home enough for uplifting mum in such a way.

Lawn Park is in a lovely setting - nearly as lovely, kind and caring as it's staff. Nothing is too much trouble, always greet you with a smile or a kind word (every one of them) are a special team of carers in every way.

My mum was first placed into Lawn Park Care Home from hospital.
As a family, we were warmly greeted and made very welcome.
Mum has settled in very well, a nice room and the staff are all friendly and very helpful. Lovely home. We are all very satisfied.

My mum is currently here in end of life care.
All I can say is the care given to mum is of the utmost quality.
This is mainly down to the lovely caring staff who look after her so well.
Mum can do nothing for herself so is totally reliant on the staff for all her needs. They are brilliant. Thank

We had to approach Lawn Park in an emergency relocation, owing to the previous care home being closed down by the CQC.
We were welcomed immediately, relieving the pressure/anxiety we were feeling. Since my mother has been staying at Lawn Park, she has received excellent attention and care from all
levels of staff without exception. We don't think she could be in better/safer hands.

Despite not wanting to ever go into a care home my mother-in-law enjoyed her short time here even wanting to know why she had not come here earlier as she liked it.
We found the staff to be caring and attentive they are very busy and they would always do their best to accommodate.

My sister has been a resident at Lawn Park for six months and has settled in really well. Everyone here, including nurses, carers and all the staff are very friendly and caring and sympathetic to a lady of 94 years. She enjoys and takes part in all the activities and events. She is looking forward to
a trip out by minibus to a local garden centre.
I am so pleased and relieved she has settled in well.

From the evening our mum arrived at Lawn Park everyone made us feel that we had made the right decision. Thank you to the nurses and carers who were understanding and supportive of our mum's needs and for taking the time to make us feel welcome at any time of the day or night. Also, thank you to the
ladies who keep Lawn park so beautifully clean and comfortable not forgetting the kitchen staff who provide regular healthy meals. The gesture of tea and coffee making facilities in mum's room was most welcome as our family members were regular visitors during the time mum was a resident there. Thank you. A friendly smile and a reassuring word can make all the difference at such a heartbreaking difficult time. Thank you all at Lawn park.

I have written to the manager about food. I am still not happy with the standard, my mother still receives food not suitable for her. And the standard and quality of the food and the way it's presented is appalling I have seen it while visiting.
I have full power of attorney for my mother who is coming
up for 93 years of age.

Rosalind

Rosalind Kennedy-Brown

Job Title: Home Manager at Lawn Park Care Home, Sutton in Ashfield

Rosalind has been at Lawn Park for three decades and still looks forward to going to work every day. She has been passionate about caring for the elderly from a young age and was confident that it was the perfect career path for her.


Before becoming Home Manager, she completed her nursing training and then became a clinical lead for a while before progressing to Deputy Manager. Rosalind is very proud of herself and her team for consistently achieving a ‘Good’ rating for CQC and a ‘Band Five’ for Quality Banding.


Outside of work, Rosalind loves socialising, gardening and walking her two beautiful dogs; she previously accomplished climbing Croagh Patrick Mountain in West Ireland.


Words of encouragement from Rosalind for someone looking for the right care home would be: “I would recommend that you look around a few homes, look at their CQC report and choose the home that you felt the most comfortable visiting.”
