On behalf of all at Lowmoor, please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. Please rest assured that emergency services were called as soon as our care team had concerns with regards your wife's health. Unfortunately there was a delay in the ambulance crew attending, in which time there was a deterioration in her condition. I hope you can take solace that family were with her when she passed. We would like to apologise for the sentimental items we were not made aware of that could not be located. Sorry to hear your experience did not meet expectations, however, we feel it essential to provide additional context to ensure a balanced view. Lowmoor provides specialist care and we encourage residents to maintain independence and dignity. Residents shower independently if they are able to do so, with staff available for support. Following your husband’s fall, the hospital advised a 20-week wait for physiotherapy. Our care team came up with a proactive plan to get your husband moving again but this could not be implemented as you dismissed the private physio arranged and then moved him to another care home. Even though your husband often requested to stay in bed, the activities team were regularly able to convince him to participate. These activities were uploaded to social media as we were aware you could not attend regularly. Finally, meals reflect the individual needs of our residents using local, good quality suppliers.
