If you chose a care home based in England, you may be eligible for NHS Funded Nursing Care (FNC), which helps cover the cost of nursing. This is worth £254.06 per week and is usually paid directly to the care home.
Visiting times end at 8:30pm but the door is always open to family and friends of residents before this time. However, Connect House requests that visiting during mealtimes is avoided where possible and not before 10.00 as residents are supported with their morning routine and breakfast.

Thank you for your kind comments, they mean a great deal to all staff at Connect House. Your grandfather is very highly thought of and staff genuinely look forward to his frequent renditions of "you are my sunshine" (amongst others) on the keyboard, he is truly talented and very much 'our sunshine'. We are so pleased that he is staying with us as a permanent resident and we look forward to sending you each one of those updates. He is truly a lovely gentleman who has captured the hearts of the majority of our staff, myself included.
We're extremely disappointed that during the Covid-19 pandemic in which family visits were not permitted within our home, you were not able to witness first hand our good staffing levels which reflect the dependency needs of each resident, our person-centered care where staff genuinely strive to create meaningful interactions for all individuals using our service both long term and those in our assessment to discharge beds (as with your relative) and that despite continued multiple communications with many family members, you have felt you were not involved in your loved one's care plan or assessment of needs despite our best efforts to manage all family members expectations with the extended multidisciplinary approach of ourselves and City Care.
We do of course take all comments on board to help develop our service as we shall do with yours. All concerns and queries are investigated promptly and anything substantiated would always be acted upon in line with our duty of candour.

As a manager, your overwhelming comments on how we were able to support your family mean the world to not only myself, but they mean so much to all the staff at Connect House who were overwhelmed when I shared your lovely review.
