My mother-in-law came to you for a short time as she was nearing the end of life. I cannot praise each and every one of your staff we were made to more than welcome we felt comfortable all staff treated us with respect they couldn't do enough for us. They kept us going with tea coffee biscuits never too busy to speak to us always a smile absolutely marvellous I know what pressure you can be under in your line of work as I've been there myself you really are brilliant your staff put faith back into carers. The dignity and respect you showed to my mother-in-law was second to none - you all should be proud of yourselves x

The staff at Meadowbank are all welcoming friendly and extremely supportive not only the residents but their families. From the day my mum arrived, she was treated with respect and kindness. All the staff were polite interested and friendly to her and her family. When mum was very sick and dying the care and genuine affection shown to her and to all of her family was very comforting.

I could not have wished for a better place for mum.

I am very happy with the care my grandmother receives. I have no concerns. They keep me informed in regards to my Nan's health and I would not hesitate to recommend the home to other people. I would like to see more activities on for the residents.

My mother has been here 18 months and has shown lots of improvement, she was very reluctant to move into a home but is now really happy. The staff are lovely and always treat her with care and respect. She is well cared for whilst maintaining her independence I would happily recommend Meadowbank.

Meadow Bank has recently employed a new manager and I must say since she has arrived things have vastly improved.
She has implemented her ideas and the staff seem much more content.
There is always a happy atmosphere in the home, plenty of activities and the care is second to none.

My Granddad is nearly 93 and has been here over a year now and is very happy and well looked after.

My husband has been in the same care home for nearly 3years. I have seen quite a few changes in that time and I must say, for the better.
The staff are very good and nothing is too much trouble, I am certainly satisfied with the home, the management and the care workers.

Thank you.

My mother was in Meadow Bank, Bolton for a short time for end of life care. She passed away there on New Year's Day.

The care she received was excellent, the staff showed great compassion and dignity. The home was pleasant, clean, friendly and was a great comfort at such a difficult time. Myself and my family would like to thank all at Meadow Bank and would recommend to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

My mother was 3 years in this home until she died recently. She was well cared for and always enjoyed the food.. We did observe a decline from November 2015 to February 2016 where the manager left suddenly and also a lot of staff left but it settled down. The staff were very caring and attentive as she faded away. One thing I feel prospective residents/relatives should be aware of is that the fees for a private payer are high compared to most other Bolton homes - we were paying £840 per week plus the home also received £110 from the NHS. My mums circumstances when she was admitted were that she was funded by the NHS so we were unaware of the fees until she no longer qualified for full NHS help. As she had settled by then there was no choice but to pay this amount, even when I pointed out the vast majority of other homes also rated good by CQC, charged much less-other homes charging £550 -£650 a week. So we were happy with the care which is key, but concerned at the cost which did not seem fair.

Had major issues with standard of care- meals and staff when mum became resident here. Since the new lady became manager she has turned things around for the better. Issues still arise but are dealt with immediately by the manager. All staff are very helpful from admin, to manager to nursing staff and carers.
