Meadow Bank House Care Home

Dad is very independent and was extremely sad to leave the house where he'd lived for 25 years, 15 of them with my mum. But he has been made so welcome at Meadowbank, he says he can't imagine a better care home. The staff are wonderful with him, joking and bringing him newspapers and puzzles. They have so gently encouraged him to get involved with their activities. In addition they really, watch his health very carefully. They are so kind.

Very friendly helpful staff. Dad has enjoyed being here, we have had no worries about him. Very clean home he has everything he wants. Reason for moving was purely financial.

The old and sick seemed to be looked after very well. I have been happy As the carers have been wonderful and the medical staff. The home manager very nice and very helpful. Room has been kept tidy- how ever hard I have looked there isn't anything I can complain about. I enjoy watching the activities and having a good time. Activity lady patient, kind, and funny. I will miss Meadow Bank if I got very poorly I would come back.

My mother went into Meadowbank Care Home due to a deterioration in her health, she had various malignancies and struggled to walk. Mum needed two carers to help her with her everyday needs. The carers, the nurses, the catering staff and the wellbeing staff were all amazing and helped mum with her needs. She settled into the home and enjoyed her three meals a day in the dining room and her T.V time in the lounges and also in her own room. Also having her hair done and cared for.

My mother was looked after at Meadow Bank for nearly 2 1/2 years. During all that time, she was looked after with the utmost care by the most amazing staff. She went into Meadow Bank with numerous health issues, and they helped to make her life as comfortable as possible. She often spoke about the staff and their attentiveness. It's now nearly 12 months since my mother passed away, so I decided to visit Meadow Bank yesterday to say 'Hello' to everyone. Lovely to know that all the familiar faces are still there. Everyone remembered me, which says a lot about these fantastic people. I cannot praise them high enough, and I always tell my friends and work colleagues how good a care home this is!

A dental care plan for residents with local dentists to visit would be welcome.

Attended the home today to review a care plan for my mother. I/we were informed of all aspects of care provided to my mother. I/we are very pleased and happy with how she is being looked after.

Meadow Bank is totally resident-focused. Staff are smiling and reassuring. Every single one of them is motivated to ensure that residents feel happy, valued and cared for. It is a very happy place. A home from home.

My mum has lived with yourselves since covid 2020 she has enjoyed her time there - I have never had a problem with my mum or the staff who are so caring and attentive. The home itself is clean, and the food is good. I really have no issues. Just recently, my dear mum passed away, and the home looked after us brilliantly. I didn't expect that kind of care, so if we got wonderful care, imagine the care the care mum got. Outstanding, thank you.

I have found the staff to be most helpful and they have responded promptly to any issues which I've raised.

I can not actually find words to describe the love, care & support that the Meadow Bank family has shown my Mum & my family. As a resident just prior to Covid lock down it was an extremely tough time for everyone, the staff went above & beyond to keep a sense of normality for their residents. This care and family values, respect and understanding needs has never wavered. We sadly lost Mum on the 5th August & her passing, although expected, was a blow to everyone but the genuine love & affection shown will never be forgotten.

We are very happy with the care that my mum is receiving at Meadow Bank House Care Home, Bolton. The cares are so attentive and truly are a caring team who put the residents' needs first. Despite my mum only going there for a couple of weeks' respite, and also having huge reservations about care home and their reputations. Within 2 weeks, my mum and decided that she wanted to stay there and couldn't face going back home. Her health and happiness have improved massively since February 2025, and it's all thanks to the excellent team. Thank you from all 4 daughters. We truly appreciate them.

My partner was a resident at Meadowbank House, and we truly could not fault the care and attention provided by the staff. Every member of the team showed genuine compassion, professionalism, and dedication to ensuring comfort and dignity at all times. I can not thank you all enough for what you did for my dad. You made his last months as perfect as we could have wished. Every single member of staff looked after him so well. When the end was near the compassion everyone showed will stay with me forever. I really will miss Meadow Bank and all its amazing staff. Thank you from all our family.

Meadow Bank House is an excellent place for my Uncle. I am very happy with the care he's been given. My uncle can be very hard work at times, the way they deal with it is very good. The staff are amazing. When I leave to go home im very happy that I know my Uncle will get the best care given.

All the staff are very nice and pleasant to talk to, they make you welcome and they are very nice and friendly, it's the best care home in Bolton. I feel that my wife is well cared for.

If there are problems they phone me. They respect my comments/suggestions. They are always patient with her and she seems to be very happy.

We had to make a heartbreaking decision when mum was diagnosed with late onset Alzheimer's. We were so lucky to visit Meadow Bank House Care Home and met such wonderful carers and staff who put us at ease showing dignity and compassion whenever we came to visit mum. We can't thank them enough for their care commitment and dedication to their jobs. Mum is always happy and smiling and that's due to the care she receives. Thank you all/

I have no faults to report. My husband is well cared for. He enjoys the food.
