My 91 year old mum had a fall in her home on 8th December 2022 and was admitted to Hospital. At the end of her stay there she had given up.
Since being admitted to Meadow Bank House Care Home I've seen a complete change in mum's mental health. The change is nothing short of a miracle! The staff are
all very friendly and mum clearly loves them. We've been able to bring in some of mum's personal possessions, including paintings, framed photographs and ornaments which mum loves. All in all the home is home-from-home where I know mum is safe and being well cared for.

My mum has settled in well here she says she feels safe and secure. The staff are amazing and treat my mum as a member of their family which I also feel part of!
The food is good and she always gets a choice, my mum isn't really able to take part in the activities but I know there is plenty going
on and the lady is amazing at organising all these! I would definitely recommend Meadow Bank to others as I feel my mum is looked after so well and I feel happy knowing she is safe.

My mum has settled very well into Meadow Bank House Care Home. This has taken some time, but with the help and support of the staff who care for mum; this has been achieved. I can now go and see Mum knowing that she is well cared for and is happy in her new establishment, this gives me ease and comfort.
The staff are extremely friendly and very professional in their work.
My mum's needs are met and she is kept clean; fed well; and the housekeeping is in good order. I am kept well informed about my mum's care.
The home has recently appointed a new manager, and she seems to be very supportive of the staff and of new ideas. I was recently invited to a Relative/Friends Resident Meeting; which I found very informative; it also gave you a sense of belonging and being included. The meeting was very positive and a further meeting has been arranged. The only disadvantage I would say is the laundry. Mum's washing sometimes goes missing, or she has clothing that does not belong to her.

Always made to feel welcome on the many visits I made. Staff showed care and support always towards my mum. I was always informed of any changes in circumstances. I feel my mum's needs were met and she was always treated with dignity and respect although bed bound for the last few weeks of her life.
She was kept as comfortable as possible, my only criticism was on a couple of occasions during Covid I took new clothing for my mum which she never received. I understand it's very difficult when dealing with lots of belongings for people but I felt slightly let down and frustrated, but otherwise a very positive experience. Thank you.

Mum has resided at Meadow Bank since March 2021. All the staff are friendly and approachable. I am well informed when mum is ill, and they are always willing to talk things through to put my mind at ease. The home is clean and well maintained. The food is very good and varied to cater for everyone's
needs, including lots of snacks/drinks. The Pod is a great addition, although it was installed for the regulations of the pandemic, mum likes to sit in it. All Covid rules and regulations are followed. Mum is well cared for by all at Meadow Bank.

I have lived here for about 15 months, and the staff are kind and courteous. The staff put you first, and the meals are very good and get three good meals a day plus a supper drinks of your choice within reason. The facilities are very good, and my room is cleaned daily. If as a resident you have an
incident and you let staff know, it is attended to immediately. Clothes are cleaned every day. If you have a request, the staff will try to carry it out.

The home is clean, the staff are all friendly, and everyone has been great. The food is delicious. Would have preferred my own shower but I can’t do that anymore, I need the assistance. I like my room. I would like fresh water and for my room to be decorated and a little fridge for lemonades.

I transferred my Auntie to Meadow Bank House specifically for the extra care and attention to detail tailored to each resident. The change over to Meadow Bank was quick and easy, the staff were welcoming and warm, the residents were cheery, the atmosphere is happy. A key factor is motivation, to stimulate
physically, mentally and emotionally. I fill her room with all her personal memories. The resident's lounge is bright and relaxing, big TV and lots of different comfy chairs. Staff are accommodating, open and friendly. The residents are treated with dignity and respect, there is a positive attitude throughout. A nurse is on-site, the manager is a nurse which is invaluable in making quick medical decisions and she is proactive in follow up treatment. Queries are listened to and dealt with quickly.
I feel confident and secure my auntie is receiving the best care.

My mother-in-law moved into Meadow Bank a couple of months ago. The transition was easy. The staff introduced themselves to my mother-in-law and family and were very polite. Due to the current situation with Covid we are now unable to visit, although when restrictions were lifted for a short while we
were able to see her in the garden (whilst social distancing at 2 metres). She stated that she was treated with respect and dignity, the staff are all lovely and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. I can not praise the staff of Meadowbank enough, as I know they will take care of my loved one as I would. My mother-in-law has mentioned the amazing activity staff, although they are unable to have outside entertainment they are more than happy to sit with her and knit, paint her nails or just talk about church. As long as she is happy and treated well then I am happy. Thank you.

What does kindness mean to you?


“To see a smile on the face of my Residents and Colleagues. Happy people make a happy home.”


As a Registered Nurse, Jincy has gained many years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Jincy shares that HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jincy remarked:


“Being able to provide a homely atmosphere for my Residents. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. And I also love being able to help Colleagues achieve their professional goals.”


Outside of work, Jincy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and travelling. One of her biggest achievements was working as part of an operation theatre for a nurse's training project in India.
