Great care home with lots of friendly staff that know the meaning of the words care and patience. Very clean and presentable at all times. No request is too much trouble, they are always happy to help out and do what is necessary to make the residents happy. I would highly recommend this care home.
My dad was only at Meadow Bank for about 10 weeks, for nursing care, but I cannot recommend it highly enough. It's impossible to comment on all aspects of his care in 1000 characters, but, like most families, we were very anxious about a loved one going into a care home setting. I can honestly say that once he was in there, we very quickly knew we had made the right choice. We never, at any point, had any cause for concern. We could visit whenever we wanted, it was spotlessly clean and the food was fantastic. We could speak to members of staff either over the phone or in person whenever we wanted, from the office team to the health care professionals. If we needed to know anything regarding Dad's care/current health, the team communicated really well with us. Most importantly, when it came to dads end of end-of-life care, they treated him with kindness, respect and absolute dignity. They were also extremely supportive of us as a family.
Our sister has been a resident at Meadow Bank House Care Home since 2018. In all that time, we have been extremely happy with the care received. All of my sister's family live in Ireland. The staff in Meadow Bank have been very understanding of this situation and have facilitated us to keep contact with my sister. When we visit from Ireland, they are always kind and welcoming.
My auntie has been a resident of the care home for almost three years now. Her dementia has got worse of late and she has mobility problems as well. The care home has been excellent with her, the staff are attentive and approachable and all her needs are taken care of in a timely manner.
Very good and caring staff. Quite happy with our cousin's care.
Very friendly and attentive staff and management. Lovely, atmosphere in the home; you are made to feel welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. Mum is treated with respect and dignity, and all the staff show her lots of patience and compassion. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a nursing placement for someone with dementia to approach Meadow Bank House Care Home.
I have been visiting my Aunt in Meadowbank since she was admitted. The staff are amazing and the care she is receiving is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. She is treated with dignity and respect. And any concerns or questions are followed up immediately.
Since being admitted to Meadow Bank House Care Home I've seen a complete change in mum's mental health. The change is nothing short of a miracle! The staff are all very friendly and mum clearly loves them. We've been able to bring in some of mum's personal possessions, including paintings, framed photographs and ornaments which mum loves. All in all the home is home-from-home where I know mum is safe and being well cared for.
The food is good and she always gets a choice, my mum isn't really able to take part in the activities but I know there is plenty going on and the lady is amazing at organising all these! I would definitely recommend Meadow Bank to others as I feel my mum is looked after so well and I feel happy knowing she is safe.
My mum's needs are met and she is kept clean; fed well; and the housekeeping is in good order. I am kept well informed about my mum's care.
The home has recently appointed a new manager, and she seems to be very supportive of the staff and of new ideas. I was recently invited to a Relative/Friends Resident Meeting; which I found very informative; it also gave you a sense of belonging and being included. The meeting was very positive and a further meeting has been arranged. The only disadvantage I would say is the laundry. Mum's washing sometimes goes missing, or she has clothing that does not belong to her.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We really appreciate your lovely words about the care your Mum receives; we are very proud of our staff team who work hard to provide quality, kind care. We have taken on board your comment about your Mother’s clothing, and this will be reviewed as part of our ongoing quality improvements.
Always made to feel welcome on the many visits I made. Staff showed care and support always towards my mum. I was always informed of any changes in circumstances. I feel my mum's needs were met and she was always treated with dignity and respect although bed bound for the last few weeks of her life. She was kept as comfortable as possible, my only criticism was on a couple of occasions during Covid I took new clothing for my mum which she never received. I understand it's very difficult when dealing with lots of belongings for people but I felt slightly let down and frustrated, but otherwise a very positive experience. Thank you.

I think Meadowbank is excellent, all the staff are caring happy people and they look after my wife extremely well. She could not be in better hands!
Mum has resided at Meadow Bank since March 2021. All the staff are friendly and approachable. I am well informed when mum is ill, and they are always willing to talk things through to put my mind at ease. The home is clean and well maintained. The food is very good and varied to cater for everyone's needs, including lots of snacks/drinks. The Pod is a great addition, although it was installed for the regulations of the pandemic, mum likes to sit in it. All Covid rules and regulations are followed. Mum is well cared for by all at Meadow Bank.
I have lived here for about 15 months, and the staff are kind and courteous. The staff put you first, and the meals are very good and get three good meals a day plus a supper drinks of your choice within reason. The facilities are very good, and my room is cleaned daily. If as a resident you have an incident and you let staff know, it is attended to immediately. Clothes are cleaned every day. If you have a request, the staff will try to carry it out.
My dad moved in requiring a palliative care bed, his wishes and requests have been respected and staff have done everything in their power to ensure these were carried out. The care Dad has received has been excellent with an amazing supportive care team and management. Thank you for all you have and continue to do.
The home is clean, the staff are all friendly, and everyone has been great. The food is delicious. Would have preferred my own shower but I can’t do that anymore, I need the assistance. I like my room. I would like fresh water and for my room to be decorated and a little fridge for lemonades.
Thank you for your review; we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are so pleased you are enjoying your stay at Meadow Bank House and that your experience has been a positive one. We are happy to arrange for your room to be decorated and support your wish...
I feel confident and secure my auntie is receiving the best care.
I'm very happy at the home. The staff are great and caring.
The staff are so nice, they are always able to cheer me up. We have some good parties too with good music and food.
I find the staff to be kind and respectful. I'm not very social and that's also respected.
