With everything that has happened due to covid, the staff have really been great. I've been able to stay in touch with my family by video calls and window visits due to their support.

My mother-in-law moved into Meadow Bank a couple of months ago. The transition was easy. The staff introduced themselves to my mother-in-law and family and were very polite. Due to the current situation with Covid we are now unable to visit, although when restrictions were lifted for a short while we were able to see her in the garden (whilst social distancing at 2 metres). She stated that she was treated with respect and dignity, the staff are all lovely and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. I can not praise the staff of Meadowbank enough, as I know they will take care of my loved one as I would. My mother-in-law has mentioned the amazing activity staff, although they are unable to have outside entertainment they are more than happy to sit with her and knit, paint her nails or just talk about church. As long as she is happy and treated well then I am happy. Thank you.

I would like to thank the staff at Meadow Bank House for keeping my grandma safe. It's been very hard for us other the last few weeks, but thanks to the staff we have managed to keep in contact via video calls and also writing lovely letters to each other. I know how busy the staff are but they always find time for us relatives.

You're all superheroes, keep doing what you are doing. We honestly cannot thank you enough.

Everything from the manager to the cleaners is perfect. I have lived here since 2010, the food is good, anything I ask for I get. Nothing is too much to ask. The staff are great they are like family friends to me.

My mother was there, mercifully, only a few weeks before she passed away. For most of the time she was ignored - anything she asked for never came. She didn't have a shower for a fortnight until we intervened (which was denied by the staff). The manager is lovely but doesn't really have any control over the residents' care. Her room was nice enough. The nursing care is poor, to say the least. Some of the carers were very nice but they don't seem to have the time to care for the number of residents there. Strangely, one resident seemed to have one to one care and a carer was with him nearly all the time, even sitting watching TV with him in the lounge. Nothing happened unless we as a family complained repeatedly. Heaven help someone who has no-one to stand up for them. I had read glowing reviews but it seems they were misleading. I am sorry we did not place my mother in a hospice or a more caring facility for her final weeks - I will regret this forever.

Great care is given to my mother. I wouldn't see her being as happy as she is now anywhere else. The carers here are always open to feedback and always so happy to help

Our Mum took residence in Meadowbank House in September 2018. She came with quite rare and complex nursing needs. These included the need for 24/7 Oxygen, Diabetes, and a Palliative care plan. She had been diagnosed with IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis). It's a terminal disease with no cure (up to 5 years prognosis) requiring full round the clock care for washing, using the toilet, and getting dressed. She needed Oxygen from two concentrator machines, Oxygen cylinders, and constant review of her condition's status. The staff all worked together well. It was a massive learning curve, but all did their absolute best. We cannot praise them more. As well as Mum's medical needs, the staff developed good friendships with her. They were all so dedicated, professional, loving, sensitive, and very helpful to help make her feel at home. Mum was looked after and was very comfortable in her last 12 months. Thanks to all the staff, who we now consider our friends!

I visit my grandma every day and she is always well-dressed, hair and nails always done nicely. My grandma has always dressed well and must be colour co-ordinated and the staff do an amazing job to support her, I'm really happy she is there. I don't think there are other homes that would care for her like Meadow Bank. Thank you.

I like this home because it is clean, the food is good and I am well looked after. I feel safe knowing there is someone here who can help me. I like my room as it is very light as I have poor eyesight, so it is better for me. I am very happy here.

The staff at Meadow Bank have gone 'the extra mile' to assist and care for my sister. They have worked with her therapist to help her achieve her potential. It is obvious that the staff have gotten to know my sister and care for her.
