I would like to thank the staff at Meadow Bank House for keeping my grandma safe. It's been very hard for us other the last few weeks, but thanks to the staff we have managed to keep in contact via video calls and also writing lovely letters to each other. I know how busy the staff are but they always
find time for us relatives.
You're all superheroes, keep doing what you are doing. We honestly cannot thank you enough.

Mum appears to be extremely happy in Meadow Bank House. She is very well looked after. The home is very clean and the staff are brilliant. Entertainment is improving greatly - no complaints at all.

Everything from the manager to the cleaners is perfect. I have lived here since 2010, the food is good, anything I ask for I get. Nothing is too much to ask. The staff are great they are like family friends to me.

My mother was there, mercifully, only a few weeks before she passed away. For most of the time she was ignored - anything she asked for never came. She didn't have a shower for a fortnight until we intervened (which was denied by the staff). The manager is lovely but doesn't really have any control
over the residents' care. Her room was nice enough. The nursing care is poor, to say the least. Some of the carers were very nice but they don't seem to have the time to care for the number of residents there. Strangely, one resident seemed to have one to one care and a carer was with him nearly all the time, even sitting watching TV with him in the lounge. Nothing happened unless we as a family complained repeatedly. Heaven help someone who has no-one to stand up for them. I had read glowing reviews but it seems they were misleading. I am sorry we did not place my mother in a hospice or a more caring facility for her final weeks - I will regret this forever.

At Meadow Bank House, we aim to provide the highest standards of care and we appreciate that the consistency of colleagues has a positive impact for residents. The home manager has an open door policy where residents, staff, families and friends can speak to her at any point to discuss any concerns or changes to the care given. As a home, we always look to improve our service and we work closely with the local hospice teams and Macmillan to ensure we are improving our palliative care service. Staff at Meadow Bank House are currently undergoing training for six steps 2, which focuses on palliative care. I am sure the home manager would appreciate meeting you and receiving your feedback. Our Mum took residence in Meadowbank House in September 2018. She came with quite rare and complex nursing needs. These included the need for 24/7 Oxygen, Diabetes, and a Palliative care plan. She had been diagnosed with IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis). It's a terminal disease with no cure (up to
5 years prognosis) requiring full round the clock care for washing, using the toilet, and getting dressed. She needed Oxygen from two concentrator machines, Oxygen cylinders, and constant review of her condition's status. The staff all worked together well. It was a massive learning curve, but all did their absolute best. We cannot praise them more. As well as Mum's medical needs, the staff developed good friendships with her. They were all so dedicated, professional, loving, sensitive, and very helpful to help make her feel at home. Mum was looked after and was very comfortable in her last 12 months. Thanks to all the staff, who we now consider our friends!

I visit my grandma every day and she is always well-dressed, hair and nails always done nicely. My grandma has always dressed well and must be colour co-ordinated and the staff do an amazing job to support her, I'm really happy she is there. I don't think there are other homes that would care for her
like Meadow Bank. Thank you.

I like this home because it is clean, the food is good and I am well looked after. I feel safe knowing there is someone here who can help me. I like my room as it is very light as I have poor eyesight, so it is better for me. I am very happy here.

The staff at Meadow Bank have gone 'the extra mile' to assist and care for my sister. They have worked with her therapist to help her achieve her potential. It is obvious that the staff have gotten to know my sister and care for her.

I visit my friend, I haven't seen him for a couple of years and he looks great.
The food and meals look very nice. The staff there even feed me as I come on 2 buses. The staff are really nice and friendly, lovely home and atmosphere. I wouldn't mind living there myself.

Meadow Bank House Care Home is a safe and secure place for anyone who is in need of care. The home is so lovely and the staff here are so hardworking. The home has a team of nurses who are so passionate in doing their job, humble and they are very respectful when communicating with their service users

Lovely home. Nurses, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners, laundry staff, seniors and management are all very professional and are genuine of a caring nature. The atmosphere in the home is good and uplifting. Residents are happy and relaxed and are always clean and respectable. Their dignity is always the
number one priority. The activities are good and get residents involved i.e. music to sports games, board games etc. I would recommend Meadow Bank to anyone looking for an excellent standard care home.

My mother moved into Meadow Bank House Care Home in September 2018 after spending several months in hospital. She suffers from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) which means she needs constant oxygen, which is very testing, even for the most experienced staff. This means Mum has more care needs than
the average person in the home. The staff here are always on the ball, nothing is too much trouble and Mum feels happy and well looked after. The only negative thing I can say is that the few jobs that need doing/fixing are never done quickly, but this is due to maintenance and not the carers and nurses.

I am sorry that you are not happy with the time it takes to get some jobs done. I have taken on board your concern and have discussed this with the maintenance operative to ensure all tasks, however big or small, are dealt with in a timely manner. We have a maintenance diary that we ask colleagues and visitors to write in if there are anything that needs completing, this is situated next to the manager’s office under the T&A terminal.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff, they have been amazing with both my mum and family, we all feel so happy and content with the placement. The home is so clean and fresh with no malodorous smells. Everyone is so kind and caring and Mum is so well cared for. The atmosphere is brilliant
and the entertainment is unbelievable. Once again a big thank you for all your kindness and care, this is well appreciated for a hard job done so well.

As a Registered Nurse, Jincy has gained many years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Jincy shares that HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jincy remarked:


“Being able to provide a homely atmosphere for my Residents. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. And I also love being able to help Colleagues achieve their professional goals.”


Outside of work, Jincy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and travelling. One of her biggest achievements was working as part of an operation theatre for a nurse's training project in India.
