Cameron House Care Home

My mother has lived in this care home now for almost 5-years and has been able to feel at ease that she is being looked after, taken care of the best she can be with the different stages of her condition as deteriorated. It's been nice to be able to feel I could voice my concerns as they have arisen and have been dealt with satisfactory. Over time built a rapport of mutual respect with one another.

As he was put on the 'end of life pathway' my wife and I were allowed to visit (wearing suitable PPE of course). All the staff from the manager downwards were very welcoming to us and were always available to answer questions and put our minds at rest regarding Dad's care. We cannot thank them enough for their wonderful, compassionate care of dad during the difficult final two months of his life.

All the family and friends were welcomed and communicated with. What an amazing team, I cannot thank them enough.

An excellent caring service looking after my frail mother. All the staff are so friendly and always helping patients. Well done to you all.

The care and kindness shown to my wife at Cameron House were all you would wish for yourself. The staff were so helpful, not only to my wife bit to all my family. Nursing expertise was always there at all times. If I had to go into a care home, I would choose Cameron House.

Mum sadly died in June but she receives the highest standard of care and died with dignity, kindness and we, as a family, were also treated in the same way. I would not hesitate to recommend the care at Cameron House to everyone.

I find this care home amazing. My dad has been a resident here for nearly two years and settled in really well. He has nursing care and the nurses are brilliant and all the carers, they all provide brilliant care for my dad and I wouldn’t want him to be placed anywhere else.

Visitors like ourselves are welcomed and 'looked after' reflecting concern and privacy on each occasion, so all credit to the staff at Cameron House.

I'm not so keen on the food as I have to eat a soft food diet.

The kindness, compassion and dignity shown to my Aunt during her stay were amazing. All staff were friendly, helpful and considerate to her needs. What an amazing team of wonderful people.

The home was very caring with my dad, also the support from all staff on dad's last days was truly amazing. They helped us a lot to sort a lot of arrangements out with doctors etc. Excellent staff/management.

My dad was cared for at Cameron House in the end stages of his illness. The staff team were always kind, caring and attentive. The nurses provided excellent care and met his changing needs. The manager was available when the family needed to discuss any concerns about his changing condition. He had a good and dignified death in caring hands.

The staff are a truly special team of people, I am truly thankful to them.

My uncle moved into Cameron House with terminal cancer, and from the day he moved in to the day he died, the staff couldn't do enough for him, they spent lots of time with him and made him very comfortable and happy. Thank you very much.

The equipment was poor - one plug socket - the side lights didn't work, there were no taps on the bath, the en-suite smelled of damp, the doors to the toilet didn't meet or shut properly = no dignity at all, even after supplying personal toiletries the staff didn't use them - they used some other person's stuff. There was a lot more - I have complained to the manager - I do hope that I get a satisfactory result because even though my friend passed away I want my complaints answered.

Since my mum took residency at Cameron House she has been made very welcome and has received excellent care from the friendly nursing staff. I am very pleased to have received regular updates on mum and feel confident enough to recommend Cameron House.

I find all staff to be friendly and very helpful. They always greet you with a smile if you have a query or need help they are always very willing to help.

Staff friendly, speak nicely to my mother; frequently pass the time of day with her. Room always in a good clean condition. Food always served to time, good and wholesome. Drinks offered frequently. Doctor called whenever needed. Laundry is cleaned to good standard. Mother's family kept informed of any changes in health etc. Overall a very good care home. No complaints.

Above all, the home is well-managed. I have seen significant improvements in many areas since November 2014 and I can see the home continuing to develop and thrive.

Her favourite things are the hairdressing sessions each week and watching the birds and squirrels feeding in the garden. Thank you to the staff.
