My mum's care started in Oct 25, from the very first week staff made huge efforts to get to know her and ensure she felt safe and comfortable. Staff always treat her with dignity and respect and make sure she feels included in any decisions about her care. The activities are regular and varied, tailored
to the needs of the residents with individual sessions to ensure inclusion. The family have all observed how happy mum is in her new home.

After a difficult 6 months of home care dad went into hospital for another 4 weeks, it was time for residential. After a past experience of Moorend it was the obvious place for dad to reside. Our initial tour with the Manager Emma and Administrator Kerry they gave us courage and confidence to continue.
The transition from 'home to home' was seamless. The team made a difficult time a much easier time. They now carry my load and I can walk taller with the confidence that dad is content, cared for and safe.Thank you.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Dad lived at Chichester Court between August 2024 to March 2026. The love, respect and care provided to him was exemplary. He was very much a part of the Chichester Court family and treated as such.

The staff are all amazing. They are a credit to themselves and the home. They really looked after

my Dad physically, mentally and emotionally and provided lots of stimulation and activities for him and all the residents.

I could not have asked for any more of a care home.

The support they gave to my mother and I when he died was also gratefully appreciated.

I cannot thank them enough.

The staff at the care home have been exceptional during this difficult family time. It was my mothers 80th birthday in February and I spoke to management to say I was concerned through absence (holidays) and other family members ill health that the birthday may not be the celebration we/she would like.
They went over and beyond in my eyes what they needed to do and she has the most wonderful birthday. They listen, care and proactive and that's all I can ask.

Helen was only 63 at the time and the wonderful staff at South Bebside took great care and quality time to get to know Helen to enable them to meet
all her needs. Helen lived at South Bebside for over two years and was very happy there. The staff are a close team and communicate effectively with each other to ensure residents and their families are happy and cared for in a safe and compassionate manner.

All people in all roles from managers, carers, receptionist, activities coordinator, kitchen staff, housekeeping and handyman are welcoming and enthusiastic to make South Bebside a homely environment for the residents.

Escalation of concerns for my sister during illness or injury from falls was very good and we felt informed and kept up to date at all times.

A big thank you to all at South Bebside

Reply from Jacky Reed, Manager at South Bebside Care HomeThank you from the bottom of our hearts for you heartfelt comments. We wish your sister well and are looking forward to hearing all the lovely things on her new adventure.

My husband has been in the caring hands of Alexandra View Care Home for nearly 12 years. This is an efficient, caring and welcoming home. All staff under the guidance of the present manager are simply the best. It is not good to single out staff I know, but the catering, reception and entertainment
staff make it a home. It is teamwork, and all staff, nursing staff, are highly efficient and very patient, caring and understanding. It works because all staff care for the residents and deserve medals.

The home is well managed, and the staff are friendly and caring. There have been some new staff recruited recently, and the ones who have not met requirements have been let go.
Reply from Emma Smith, Manager at Moorend Place Nursing HomeThank you for your comments. As I have discussed with you we have not had new staff recruited, however staff have moved units. If you have any future concerns regarding staffing please come and see me, my door is always open.

I have found everyone at Cedar Grange to be very welcoming to both my Mum and myself when I visit. The home is clean, tidy and seems well maintained. The staff are always trying to interact with the residents and are putting on quite a few activities for them to take part in. I like the fact that you
can visit anytime and don't have to pre-arrange a visit.
Reply from Lucy Turnbull, Manager at Cedar GrangeThank you for your kind words i will ensure this is shared with the team, Mum is a big part of the Cedar Grange family and one of the first to always join in with the activities, she definitely enjoys a good dance.

My mother has settled in to her new home and is well cared for by cheerful attentive staff. She enjoys the girls stopping by to check she is alright. Nothing we have requested has been too much trouble and each time we have requested help, we have been accomodated. Thank you to all the staff and carers
at Penshaw House and Valley View. Simply the best!

My mum went to South Bebside on respite over a 18 months ago. It was quite clear she needed help for more than a few weeks. She's made it her new home. The staff are brilliant and have all been there a long time. I think this shows how happy the staff are to be there. They care for mum so well. Nothing
is too much trouble: the meals are amazing. She even gets served breakfast in bed. It's like a 5*hotel and that's exactly where she thinks she's living..

Wonderfull staff, caring and patient with both mum and dad.The management team has also been a great support for me and our family. Both of my parents are there, it was important to have them together because mum has Alzheimers and can't be away from dad.He is the only person she recognises now.Nothing
too much trouble and they have both enjoyed the trips out last year. The meals are freshly prepared and the staff are so helpful and adaptable especially with mum who is a fussy eater.
Reply from Ana Wilcox, Manager at Beech GroveIt means a great deal to us that you feel both your mum and dad are cared for with patience and compassion. We understand how important it was for them to stay together, especially as your mum is living with Alzheimer's and finds comfort in having your dad close by. Supporting their bond and preserving those special connections is central to our approach to person-centred care.
We're also pleased that you've felt supported by our management team - we know how important reassurance and open communication are for families. It's lovely to hear they've enjoyed the trips out and that our freshly prepared meals and flexible approach, particularly with your mum's preferences, have made a positive difference.
Thank you for trusting us with their care - it's a privilege to support your family.
