My mum has been here for over a year now, my wife and me didn't want my mum to have to go into a care home, but we had no choice, but it's been a blessing in disguise. All the staff are amazing and work as a team. We can have time away and relax knowing she's in their capable hands.

Overall, the care home is very good. We are always made to feel welcome, and the staff are all brilliant and very friendly. Any information about mam is passed on professionally and quickly. Mam is always treated with dignity, and her needs are seen to quickly. The home is done out nicely, and pictures
of the residents are displayed doing the many activities that take place. We are very happy with mam's care, and she is very happy there.
Reply from Dominique Creighton, Manager at Hylton View Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback. We are delighted to hear that you feel welcomed whenever you visit and that you are happy with the care your mam receives. Our team works hard to ensure that every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, and it is wonderful to know that this is reflected in your mam's experience. We are also pleased that you enjoy seeing the activities and memories displayed around the home, as creating a happy and engaging environment for our residents is very important to us. Your comments will be shared with the team, who will be greatly encouraged by your appreciation. Thank you for placing your trust in us to care for your mam. It is a privilege to be part of her journey, and we are delighted to know that she is happy here.

At first I was worried about my dad going in a home, but my fears were unfounded as soon as I saw the kind and compassionate way he was treated by all of the staff on every level. Nothing was too much trouble to help him feel more comfortable and assured of warm support. I was also very grateful for
the kind and understanding support that was given to me in such a friendly way. All of the staff and management do an excellent job, it is clear that they don't just view it as a job, they do genuinely care for the residents. They make a great professional team, my grateful thanks go to you all.

My dad had been a resident at Hylton View Care Home since 2023, and the care he received was second to none. He loved the food and really enjoyed the daily activities. I especially appreciated how the staff encouraged everyone to get involved - it truly felt like one big family. The staff could never
do enough to help and always went above and beyond for both residents and their families.
Sadly, my dad passed away on 16th May at the care home, surrounded by his loved ones. I will never forget the kindness, compassion, and support the staff showed him throughout his time there. I'll always be incredibly grateful and will continue to support this wonderful care home however I can.
Reply from Dominique Creighton, Manager at Hylton View Care HomeThank you so much for your heartfelt and touching review. We are deeply sorry for the loss of your dad and would like to extend our sincere condolences to you and your family.
It means a great deal to hear that your dad enjoyed his time with us, from the food and daily activities to the friendships and sense of community he experienced. Creating a warm, family atmosphere where residents feel valued, supported, and happy is at the heart of everything we do.
Your kind words about our team are truly appreciated and will be shared with all of the staff. Knowing that we were able to provide comfort, care, and support to both your dad and your family during his time with us, especially in his final days, means more than we can express.
Thank you for placing your trust in us and for your continued support. It was a privilege to care for your dad, and we will remember him fondly.

We were very happy with the care our mam received during the 5 years she was with you. The staff always treated her with dignity, kindness, and respect, and took the time to understand her individual needs. My mum has been a resident now for about 18 months and I've been really happy with the standard of care she has received. The staff are all friendly, and the home feels lively and 'lived in'. It's not as grand as some of the care homes I looked at, but that doesn't matter to me. What matters is that
the residents are being well cared for, it feels like a welcoming home, and I can leave her knowing she's in safe hands.

We used Dolphin View Care Home for end-of-life care for my relative and they were fantastic from my first enquiry right through to the hospital discharge. Unfortunately my relative was only at the home a very short time, but during that time they were treated with dignity and respect, which we are so

From the moment I walked into the home I have felt comfort, the staff showed me a room, I loved it straight away, as the patio door looked out on to the field, I knew this was where I wanted my dad to be for however long we had left with him, sadly that wasn't long, but in that short time, I did feel
comfort from the staff as all of them looked after us as well as my dad, I have nothing but love for making our time with dad peaceful and respectable.

My grandmother was a resident of the carehome for approx two years. she was treated beautifully by all staff and me and my family could not be happier with the services provided. all the staff treated my grandmother like their own, and without a shadow of a doubt saw her as not only a client but a best
friend. due to her dementia, she could be very challenging at times, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate to her needs, meaning she did not have to be sent to a specialist facility, which would have altered her precious routine, strip her from familiar surroundings that provided her with comfort, and kept her near family. I cannot praise the staff enough, and it meant so much to the family seeing so many of them attend her funeral, such personalised care, allowing us to go about our days comfortably knowing she was being so brilliantly cared for up until the very end. Thank you dolphin view for all you have done
Reply from Kelly Lockhart, Home Manager at Dolphin View Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely review. It was an absolute privilege to care for your grandmother. I cannot fault the manager (Caitlyn) or the care nurses looking after my mother, from the initial respite care to the final end of life passage. However, it is not pleasant to see Dado rails hanging off, scruffily patched walls and flaky paint. A refurbishment would be highly recommended, together with
net curtains for privacy. I would use this care home again as patients are well looked after with great dignity.
