Primrose has been a Godsend for Elsie. The staff are a tribute to the home, and they give Elsie the best of attention. Without the home, Elsie's life would have been a disaster. So thanks to the professionals, her life is fulfilling. All I can say is thank you.

No activities (activities manager left) there core residents are left to their own devices. Residents in Lodge left alone even for short periods, despite assurances there was someone in 24 hours (what if there was a fire). Residents not getting woken up at a reasonable time. We needed 3 weeks respite care for my uncle as my aunty was going in to hospital. My uncle was well looked after and quite happy in Primrose Lodge. Management arranged for extra equipment to be sourced that my uncle needed. The food was amazing and my uncle gained a little, much-needed, weight during
his stay. The staff were fantastic, treated him with care and were so friendly. We highly recommend this care home.

Moorend Place Nursing Home

from Neil F (Grandson of Resident) published on 24 October 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Wow, what an amazing care team this lovely care home has. My grandma celebrated her 100th birthday there last week and it couldn't go past without a review. They decorated the Forget Me Not cafe downstairs and when I say decorated I mean, banners, balloons, party fascinators on staff and residents.
They booked an amazing singer and put on a HUGE buffet. They made my grandma's day extra special, it moved me to tears. They were so happy for her. Not only that day though, she has lived there for over 5 years and she has been so well looked after. We get regular phone calls as to how she is doing and when we visit there is often a lovely carer just sat with her holding her hand so she isn't alone. They go above and beyond. The care is exceptional, we would highly recommend to anyone looking at care homes for their loved one.

Our mum has been at Ashlea Court for over a year and very settled. This is a miracle as mum has mild Alzheimer's and can be stubborn and difficult. The staff look after mum really well and there is always a positive reassuring atmosphere when we visit. Mum has made a few buddies and joins in the many
activities. Overall knowing mum is well looked after and safe is priceless. We recently joined the 'Ashlea Court friends and relatives' group on social media and it's heartwarming seeing the lovely photos of the residents.

My wife has been in Moorend Place approaching 3 years suffering advanced dementia. Although Moorend isn't a 5* hotel care home and doesn't try to be, it offers excellent nursing care and support for residents' families.
Good and committed management with many long term carers .

My father was welcomed to his care home really well. Multiple staff members have popped in to introduce themselves. All have been cheerful, friendly and informative. We couldn't have asked for a nicer welcome. They have all made a positive impression. The care given has been constant, appropriate and
respectful. We are so happy that my father has settled so quickly. The food has been plentiful and home cooked. As visitors we have been treated with courtesy and consideration.

We are very happy with mam's care. She has now been in the home for over three and a half years. She has been well looked after and cared for. We feel that all the staff care for mam as an individual. We are informed at all times of any problems, which have not been many in fact. The food she is offered
is very good and mam seems to enjoy it. We are very pleased mam came here.

My father is a resident here @ The Beaufort Care Home. Next month will be three years since he came here. I cannot praise Maxine, the manager and Tilly the nurse, all of the carers + Michelle the cook, enough. Every member of staff has the utmost respect for, not only my dad, but for all residents.
My father is extremely happy residing here. Highly recommended.

South Park Care Home

from Phil E (Son of Resident) published on 16 September 2025

My father came to South Park from hospital as the home he had previously been in didn't feel they could provide the ongoing care he needed. Prior to accepting the place offered we paid a surprise visit around 18.00 hours one evening. We were warmly received and the member of staff we met was more
than happy to show us around. All the staff we bumped into that evening appeared to be happy in their work.

The home is a tired structure, and feels like it needs some significant investment, but please don't let that put you off. The care provided to my father was brilliant. The medical staff were eager to learn all about him to help them understand what his specific needs were. Although he was only with them for a number of weeks I was more than happy with what was done for him, but also what I saw provided for other residents.

All the staff we met over this period had a cheerful demeanor and were happy to chat with the relatives of the residents. It's the care that matters.
