I visit my friend every week when I can the staff and everyone are very friendly and professional. He always looks well taken care of and always looks the best he can. The home itself is clean & tidy and always something going on for residents

The staff at the home are lovely. Current management are relatively new, and already the care and attention of the new team is showing on every level. I feel the home is on a journey to become excellent, which shouldn't be too far away. Facilities are being improved, and new services are being added/made available to residents. I would recommend this home be in your list for consideration.

Staff are great look after my dad as if he's one of their family members. They go over and above to help both my dad and the family if we have any concerns, treating both him and us with dignity and respect.

mam has been a resident for 6 months. Although initially she was very unsettled and upset, the staff always assured me my mam was calm and joining in. Evidence is clear to see from the homes social media page. My mam is now settled and enjoys the activities and general company of the staff and new friends she has made with other residents. The structure of her day clearly has helped being in a routine. Mam is always clean and tidy, hair done, and nails kept neat and polished. It has been a hard journey as mam's Alzheimers worsened, whilst we cared for her at home. The need to find professional help in a caring, friendly environment has done her the world of good,

Every member of staff in the home makes each and every resident feel loved cared for and at times special in their own way

They have hairdresser that comes in on a Friday and to see the residents with their hair all dressed be and nice make us as family feel as good as they do

The food is of a high standard and plenty of choice given to n a daily basis

I would indeed recommend mend this facility to anyone looking for a residential home for a loved one.

My Dad went in there in May as a Nursing Care resident and I can say that the nursing care has been excellent with a real sense that the staff care about him (The medical leads are superb) which obviously gives our family peace of mind. The staff are very polite and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The home is friendly, clean, comfortable and secure. My father is clearly better in their more than capabile and expereinced hands. Very reasuring in such a traumatic time.

My mother has been a resident at Chichester Court Care Home South Shields for a number of years and I cannot thank the staff enough for the ongoing care they provide. When my mother first moved in, the transition for her was daunting. However, the management team and carers showed patience, compassion and dignity until she settled. The facility itself is clean, warm and safe. My mother enjoys the home cooked meals. I am always welcomed warmly whenever I visit. If a medical situation that my mother is having requires treatment the staff are very proactive and is processed quickly and effectively.

Overall, the care home is very good. We are always made to feel welcome, and the staff are all brilliant and very friendly. Any information about mam is passed on professionally and quickly. Mam is always treated with dignity, and her needs are seen to quickly. The home is done out nicely, and pictures of the residents are displayed doing the many activities that take place. We are very happy with mam's care, and she is very happy there.

My dad had been a resident at Hylton View Care Home since 2023, and the care he received was second to none. He loved the food and really enjoyed the daily activities. I especially appreciated how the staff encouraged everyone to get involved - it truly felt like one big family. The staff could never do enough to help and always went above and beyond for both residents and their families.

Sadly, my dad passed away on 16th May at the care home, surrounded by his loved ones. I will never forget the kindness, compassion, and support the staff showed him throughout his time there. I'll always be incredibly grateful and will continue to support this wonderful care home however I can.

We were very happy with the care our mam received during the 5 years she was with you. The staff always treated her with dignity, kindness, and respect, and took the time to understand her individual needs. It gave us great comfort knowing she was safe, well cared for, and supported every day. The carers were compassionate, attentive, and always approachable. We are truly grateful for the excellent care and support provided to both our mam and our family.

Overall, the care and attention given to my mother in her final weeks was excellent. All staff were very professional and treated my mother with the greatest dignity.

My uncle has received excellent care at The Ferns. The staff are amazing and it's a friendly place to visit. My uncle always looks well looked after and cared for. The food always looks great too. Thank you!

My mum's care started in Oct 25, from the very first week staff made huge efforts to get to know her and ensure she felt safe and comfortable. Staff always treat her with dignity and respect and make sure she feels included in any decisions about her care. The activities are regular and varied, tailored to the needs of the residents with individual sessions to ensure inclusion. The family have all observed how happy mum is in her new home.

My Dad lived at Chichester Court between August 2024 to March 2026. The love, respect and care provided to him was exemplary. He was very much a part of the Chichester Court family and treated as such.

The staff are all amazing. They are a credit to themselves and the home. They really looked after my Dad physically, mentally and emotionally and provided lots of stimulation and activities for him and all the residents.

I could not have asked for any more of a care home.

The support they gave to my mother and I when he died was also gratefully appreciated.

My husband has been in the caring hands of Alexandra View Care Home for nearly 12 years. This is an efficient, caring and welcoming home. All staff under the guidance of the present manager are simply the best. It is not good to single out staff I know, but the catering, reception and entertainment staff make it a home. It is teamwork, and all staff, nursing staff, are highly efficient and very patient, caring and understanding. It works because all staff care for the residents and deserve medals.

My mother has settled in to her new home and is well cared for by cheerful attentive staff. She enjoys the girls stopping by to check she is alright. Nothing we have requested has been too much trouble and each time we have requested help, we have been accomodated. Thank you to all the staff and carers at Penshaw House and Valley View. Simply the best!

Excellent and professional support from caring staff. A lot of empathy and understanding. Great communication and quick resolution of any issues. Very impressed with the care provided.
