The care for my wife continues to be exemplary. Susan is not always in the happiest of moods and can be difficult regarding drinking and eating, but the patience of care and nursing staff deals effectively as and when those situations arise. All staff are friendly, supportive and helpful. Their quality of care gives me peace of mind that my wife is in the best place for her complex conditions and need for 24 hour nursing care. I am very pleased that we found a nursing facility so close and convenient to both mine and our daughters and grand-children's homes.

I have visited my very good friend, a resident at Rosemount Care Home for almost 5 years, in which time I have seen numerous management changes, no doubt an unsettling time for many of the residents, also lack of continuity with staff quite alarming. Yet another change in management has occurred. The previous manager, was making great headway with forward-thinking changes to improve quality of care and wellbeing for the residents, enforcing that high priority was the residents, "as it was their home". The home now has a new manager who does not appear to operate an open-door policy and is very rarely seen on the floor. It would be nice to have a private family room. Also, to have staff more evident when buzzers are going.

In the 5+ years I have been visiting the home, I think there has been 6 managers (including interim ones) which is not good for residents or staff. When I first came the home was pretty bad in every area, when the previous manager came things got a lot better which was reflected in the Care Commission's report from poor to good. There is now a new manager who moved his office from the front entrance to the interior of the building, which makes him not accessible to everyone, especially families, and friends. Also there is not a comfortable area to sit with friends which is strange, no sitting rooms for visits.

I am here only part-time until a permanent place is available. My time here has been pleasant. It is a relaxed environment, and the service users and staff helpful and chatty and friendly. The environment is clean and spacious and well maintained. You have access to the garden area, lounge, and hairdressers. The meals are exceptional, as is the choice, even with the cold and hot drinks. They are happy for me to supply myself with things I need to aid with my recovery.

We are glad we 'found' Alexandra View as their care and compassion is second to none. Thank you!

Me mam live there all staff so helpfull. They try their best. They will have chat with you. And me mam would not get out of van they were so helpful to me for assisting me mam out of van into care home safely. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing staffer we're looking for a permanent home for my mam who has mixed dementia as soon as walking into the home we had a great feeling about this home she's been looked after really well the staff are patient and amazing with not just my mam but all residents

I visit my friend every week when I can the staff and everyone are very friendly and professional. He always looks well taken care of and always looks the best he can. The home itself is clean & tidy and always something going on for residents

The staff at the home are lovely. Current management are relatively new, and already the care and attention of the new team is showing on every level. I feel the home is on a journey to become excellent, which shouldn't be too far away. Facilities are being improved, and new services are being added/made available to residents. I would recommend this home be in your list for consideration.

Staff are great look after my dad as if he's one of their family members. They go over and above to help both my dad and the family if we have any concerns, treating both him and us with dignity and respect.

mam has been a resident for 6 months. Although initially she was very unsettled and upset, the staff always assured me my mam was calm and joining in. Evidence is clear to see from the homes social media page. My mam is now settled and enjoys the activities and general company of the staff and new friends she has made with other residents. The structure of her day clearly has helped being in a routine. Mam is always clean and tidy, hair done, and nails kept neat and polished. It has been a hard journey as mam's Alzheimers worsened, whilst we cared for her at home. The need to find professional help in a caring, friendly environment has done her the world of good,

My Dad went in there in May as a Nursing Care resident and I can say that the nursing care has been excellent with a real sense that the staff care about him (The medical leads are superb) which obviously gives our family peace of mind. The staff are very polite and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The home is friendly, clean, comfortable and secure. My father is clearly better in their more than capabile and expereinced hands. Very reasuring in such a traumatic time.

My mother has been a resident at Chichester Court Care Home South Shields for a number of years and I cannot thank the staff enough for the ongoing care they provide. When my mother first moved in, the transition for her was daunting. However, the management team and carers showed patience, compassion and dignity until she settled. The facility itself is clean, warm and safe. My mother enjoys the home cooked meals. I am always welcomed warmly whenever I visit. If a medical situation that my mother is having requires treatment the staff are very proactive and is processed quickly and effectively.

We were very happy with the care our mam received during the 5 years she was with you. The staff always treated her with dignity, kindness, and respect, and took the time to understand her individual needs. It gave us great comfort knowing she was safe, well cared for, and supported every day. The carers were compassionate, attentive, and always approachable. We are truly grateful for the excellent care and support provided to both our mam and our family.

Overall, the care and attention given to my mother in her final weeks was excellent. All staff were very professional and treated my mother with the greatest dignity.

Attention to detail of each individual/personal care needs. Friendly, caring and welcoming staff. Very professional in handling challenging behaviour. Staff finding time to comfort each individual resident.

My uncle has received excellent care at The Ferns. The staff are amazing and it's a friendly place to visit. My uncle always looks well looked after and cared for. The food always looks great too. Thank you!
