Long Meadow

The July Summer fair was a super example of the whole of Long Meadow's community pulling together, with enthusiasm and initiative being shown by staff from across the whole organisation.

I am very happy with all the care from the staff given to my mum, They are all very kind & caring & do all they can. Mum is happy here she's settled very well and says herself everyone is very nice & helpful to her.

I really have no comments to make. The staff have been good, although some guy that was there this am, I found really brusque no smiles no nice banter. Other than this experience everything seems okay

Always clean and friendly also helpful, the rooms are decorated lovely and always bright and airy. My Dad states the food is lovely always choices with the Daily Menu Board, they've just had a lovely summer fete which all enjoyed.

Our loved ones are very settled and feel comfortable and supported.

I am happy with how my husband is looked after. Its very difficult, as he has got dementia. I only want the best for my husband. The staff do a brilliant job and being and ex carers things aren't easy they can challanging.

At first I was worried about my dad going in a home, but my fears were unfounded as soon as I saw the kind and compassionate way he was treated by all of the staff on every level. Nothing was too much trouble to help him feel more comfortable and assured of warm support. I was also very grateful for the kind and understanding support that was given to me in such a friendly way. All of the staff and management do an excellent job, it is clear that they don't just view it as a job, they do genuinely care for the residents. They make a great professional team, my grateful thanks go to you all.

My mum stayed here for three weeks, and the staff have been fantastic with her. Whenever I visited, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. On my very first visit, just after my mum moved in, the staff got me a chair so I could sit quietly with my mum and spend some quality time together. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Thanks to all the staff for their wonderful care and support.

We were very concerned about moving our 97 year old Mother who is very frail. However, our concerns soon disappeared when we realised how well she was being looked after. The staff quickly understood her needs and she has settled in very well. We are kept informed of any issues. I wish we had moved her to Long Meadow sooner.

I find all the staff friendly, caring and helpful, the manager is approachable and efficient at her job, any problems or niggles that you have will be rectified asap. The home is clean and tidy. Everyone does a very good job.

My mum has been a resident since June 2023, she is well cared for. She had a fall a couple of weeks ago, she fell out of bed and injured her leg. Staff cared for her until an ambulance arrived. In hospital, they discovered she had pneumonia. She was discharged back to the home the same day under the frailty virtual ward with oxygen being made available at the home. The staff cared for her well under difficult circumstances.

My sister has been at Long Meadow Care Home for about three months and has settled down well. The staff are kind and helpful and the home has a comfortable homely feel. She says the meals are very good. Generally, I am very happy with the way she is being cared for.

Efficient and courteous staff.

The carers are always friendly and look after the residents well. It is very clean and the cleaners are around a lot to keep it that way. I feel I can speak to staff freely about things and they sort things out straight away. It's a pity they haven't more funding to do more activities in the afternoon which the residents would enjoy.

Was happy to see that my Auntie was settled, that was clear by her whole demeanour. Staff was kind and attentive and would recommend anybody looking for a care home in the Derbyshire area look no further.

They are ready to help me all the time, dressing, changing and pads etc.

My mother seems perfectly at ease with the staff if they should visit her during my weekly visits. She informs me that her meals are very nice. As I only visit for less than one hour per week I am basing my review and answers based on this alone.

The building although clean is in a dreadful state of repair. It is clear there has been no investment in the property for a long time. The staff are excellent but obviously not appreciated by the company they work for.

The area where my mother lives is gloomy and scruffy and poorly maintained. The administration leaves much to be desired when I'm asked to provide either cash or cheque for expenses.

All the carers and staff are very friendly and nice to mum and always help you if you have any queries.
