Gorton Parks offers care for short or long term requirements in a safe and warm environment. Care available includes nursing and residential dementia care, general nursing, respite, convalescence and palliative care.

Situated in a quiet area of Manchester, the home is split across five buildings. The home features quality furnishings in comfortable rooms while landscaped gardens allow the ideal setting to relax and enjoy the outside.

Meals are made to suit taste and dietary requirements, and can be enjoyed in traditional dining rooms or in the privacy of residents’ own bedrooms. A 'Nite Bite' menu is also available for out of hours snacks and drinks.

Many occasions and events add to home life, with residents supported in pursuing hobbies and interests of their choice as well as doll and pet therapy and days out.

Always receive a good welcome when visiting. The staff are always there to help. I feel my sister-in-law is receiving excellent care.

My sister was admitted to Abbey Hey House last December on my request as had previous experience of the care when a friend had been in Delamere for respite. My sister recently passed so only had eight months there but the care she received was outstanding. Cannot praise staff enough. They have a very
difficult job where my sister was in the dementia unit and nursing have kept everyone safe through this pandemic. Don't think they had one case of covid. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and so are the family. You felt part of a family as though you had known the staff for years. Would never hesitate to want to use there again if need rose in future.

My mum has been a resident of the Delamere Unit now for two weeks and the transformation in her health and wellbeing has been outstandingly positive. All the staff are extremely approachable, caring and friendly, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Their response to feedback has been well received
and very prompt. My mum was in a very distressed state when she arrived, she is now very happy and content. She spends the first part of any visit telling me how wonderful the staff are. Her room is spotlessly clean and she enjoys the meals there. I cannot praise the staff enough for their exceptional care.

My mam was in Debdale unit and she got the best treatment you could possibly ask for. The treatment and care she and my family got was excellent. All the staff went out of their way to make her stay as pleasant as possible.
Things were different then my mum passed away in Jan 2020. My family and I
were welcome any time night and day.
I would recommend this unit to anybody.

I have really enjoyed my stay here, everyone was really helpful and went out of there way to help. Some patients were very abusive to staff, I don't know how they kept their cool. They deserve every penny they get, and more.

My mum has been in Abbey Hey Unit for three years. I visit about four times each week and feed my mum at mealtimes. The staff has always been very accommodating, friendly and empathetic when I am sad!
Recently my mum was very poorly with pneumonia and the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond
their duties for me and my family.

My sister has been a resident since November 2018. The staff are all very caring and vigilant, nothing is too much trouble and the staff care, not only for the residents but also family members who may be upset by the situation.
I struck gold when I found this home for my sister and would highly recommend
it. The care is excellent and that's what counts. Without exception, I find everyone friendly and competent.

My father was looked after in the two and a half weeks he was there very well. The staff gave him his medication daily and promptly and his blood sugars and blood pressure was checked 2 - 3 times a day.
He was fed a variety of meals twice a day together with tea, coffee and juices which was served
several times a day. His room was cleaned every day. The staff were always pleasant and friendly on my families arrival. My father left the home feeling much healthier and pleased with the treatment he received whilst a resident.

I am more than happy with my treatment whilst I have been here.


Everyone, staff and residents, has been a joy to be with. I have been well looked after by all staff, days and nights, and residents have been friendly and welcoming. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone.

I arrived at Delamere House in Gorton from another BUPA unit on the same complex. I felt unsafe, uncomfortable, overwhelmed, insecure and had lost confidence in both what I had achieved in my emotional, mental and physical well being due to my experiences at the previous unit.
The caring staff at
Delamere, along with the professional staff, encouraged, supported, welcomed me and made me feel safe.
Their communication skills and empathy are at a high standard, which is shared by the many patients that I have come into contact with.
A big thank you to both caring and professional staff at Delamere House.

My mum received a very warm welcome into Gorton Parks and staff took the time to reassure her that she would be well looked after. The quality of care she received was excellent and I observed very positive interactions from all staff with my mum.


During her stay, her health deteriorated quickly

but at each stage, her needs were re-assessed and care plans changed. I also felt supported through this difficult time and cannot thank the staff enough for the care given and for the time given to me to listen to the background story of my caring for mum for the last 3 years - which has not been easy.


I felt a genuine relationship was developed throughout this partnership and I had every confidence that my mum was well cared for by a dedicated caring staff team.

I initially joined Gorton Parks in 2022 as a clinical service manager, subsequently being promoted to deputy manager and then working my way up to being the home manager. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working in Gorton Parks alongside dedicated staff, friendly residents and relatives. At Gorton Parks we provide tailored, compassionate care and strive for uncompromising excellence in everything we do. we are passionate about delivering unrivalled quality care for our residents. My decade long nursing experience, coupled with my passion for improving the lives of our residents make Gorton parks an extraordinary calling.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and travelling. Additionally, I am fluent in 4 different languages, English, Urdu, Punjabi and Persian.”
