Heartly Green is situated in Irlam, Salford. It offers residential care to older people and people living with dementia.

The home is divided into different households, each has plenty of space to relax, including spacious lounges. Everyone who lives at Heartly Green has a large bedroom which can be personalised to individual taste and has its own en-suite facility.

The home also has a number of outdoor garden areas, which makes for a wonderful place to relax with visiting family and friends.

We are currently not allowed to visit due to coronavirus, but I have regular video calls with my mum and write letters to her. She is being kept safe and well by the amazing staff who are going above and beyond to ensure my mum is safe and others.
Well done everyone and thank you to the amazing staff
at Heartly Green.

Dad is thoroughly enjoying his time at Heartly Green and is delighted to have secured a permanent place.
The friendly and professional team provide excellent care and support. Communication with family members is also excellent.
Throughout incredibly difficult circumstances, they have worked tirelessly
to keep everyone safe and ensure that residents and loved ones can keep in touch.
It is a huge relief to know that Dad is thriving and looked after, to an amazingly high standard.
The environment is welcoming and residents are helped to personalise their accommodation - so it is truly a home.
Dad loves the camaraderie, dignity the care has afforded him... and the food!
Although lockdown and shielding have provided challenges, the team have done everything possible to keep spirits up and provide entertainment/stimulation.
I highly recommend Heartly Green to anyone seeking 24-hour care for themselves or a loved one.

Mum has not been very well this month and has had to stop in bed for a few days. Everyone at Heartly Green have been wonderful with Mum and have taken excellent care of her. I cannot thank them enough.

I have lived here for nearly two years, I can't walk or do much. The staff are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. They work long hours just to help us. The food is lovely, and we get to go out often for meals and such. I like it when the school came to us and sing with us. I wouldn't
live anywhere else now.

My 91-yr-old mother-in-law broke her hip. After surgery was transferred to Heartly Green. From day 1 we were told she was there for physiotherapy. A therapist came to see her the second morning and from then until a couple of days ago she had no physio whatsoever! She had been left to sit in an uncomfortable
chair all day every day. She has no weight on her and was sitting on her bones, her feet swelled which have never done before. After I complained they decided to begin physio. After a week they took her into her bathroom, watched as she got undressed, left her on her own closing the door, she had no zimmer to lean on. She was terrified of moving in case she fell, she couldn't open the door it was too heavy, she is 5stone. For the past few days, it was absolutely freezing every day and they did take her in the dayroom. She and the other patients complained about the cold. They were ignored until I complained and begged for blankets for them there.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were unhappy with the care your loved one received. The heating was broken early October for around 24 hours, however, the temperature was continually monitored and a full supply of blankets was available to all residents in the building who were affected. The Intermediate Care Unit where your loved one was being cared for is run by the local NHS and we believe your concerns have been addressed via their complaints procedure.

Overall I am very pleased with the service provided.
The staff are a credit in the way they deal with difficult situations and the residents in general.
There have been a couple of occasions when my mother has ended up with the wrong clothes - sometimes dirty blankets etc. If I have a gripe, it is
access.
I have never had a fob and as a result, have spent a significant proportion of my life, since mum came in, waiting to be admitted to both outer and inner doors.

Since my mother moved into Heartly Green in March. She is a much happier person. The care she receives is second to none. She has friends to chat to and the carers are so kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. On the 21st May, my Mum was 99 and she had a lovely day. Everyone enjoyed
themselves. A singer provided the entertainment and everyone joined in the singing. It was such a happy day. If I was to need care in the future it is where I would like to stay.

Mum was resident at Heartly Green for almost 4 years.
The unit was bright, cheerful and homely with kind and caring staff who often went the extra mile to make the environment as pleasant as possible by decorating communal areas and helping to make the garden a welcoming space in which to spend time
outdoors. Staff were always willing to listen to families and residents to help resolve any problems.

Mum was always treated with kindness, respect and patience. As her mental and physical health deteriorated, carers adapted to her needs and made necessary changes to keep her safe and as well as possible.

This really is the Gold Standard of care. From the moment my Mother arrived in the facility, it was clear the focus of all the staff was to create a safe, secure and welcoming environment where the all the needs of the residents and consideration of the family are central to the care plan.
Communication
is outstanding.
Personal care, hygiene and care for all aspects of well-being are outstanding.
Staff in all areas from administration, care, food ... are outstanding. This is not only a reflection of the training but the ethos created that runs throughout the entire site.
Over a sixth month period, the staff dealt with my Mother with sensitivity and understanding in what were challenging circumstances dealing with dementia.


This is a place where residents are made to feel like they are in a family unit and are treated and cared for as family members.


My sister and I would like to thank the staff for their hard work, care and support.

Visited my nan who has quickly deteriorated and is finding it difficult to come to terms with her disabilities and lack of independent living skills. She has emphasised how kind the staff are (she is never so positive!) and I witnessed this myself today. They know her care needs 100%, they are so 'on
the ball' so that her safety was never compromised (even when she tries to run away from her zimmer). They support and encourage her and welcomed us on to the ward. In such a time of stress and sadness I left the home today knowing that although I am unsure how my nans health will be, I know she is in best hands. 10/10 for the staff on shift today.
