Ideally located on the edge of Oldham and recently benefitting from a refurbishment programme, Avalon Park offers personalised residential and residential dementia care in a home from home environment.

Residents benefit from a range of comfortable areas where they can socialise and relax, including a number of dining spaces that provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends. The delightful tea room is also a firm favourite with residents and their loved ones.

The team across the home, from Care Assistants to Wellbeing Coordinators and Chefs, is dedicated to promoting and enhancing resident wellbeing. The catering team creates delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors, whilst the care team at Avalon Park creates a varied activities programme to suit the interests and capabilities of each resident.

This is like a mansion to keep me safe regards feeding and keeping me safe. My lovely home keeps me happy. My friends all think my home is lovely. I love to arrange my ornaments and flowers but they polish and was the floors. I love my home for my care.

This care home does not care for their residents. They do not show residents the dignity and respect they should. Residents are allowed to wander into other residents' rooms. Residents allowed to sleep in other residents' beds and staff seem to just ignore this. Personal belongings keep going missing
and staff use residents' items on other residents such as hair brushes etc. If you miss a meal such as breakfast - then you miss it. There is no option to have a late breakfast. Residents are not properly dressed in the morning - there have been many occasions when we have had to re-dress a resident.

I would like to say that since my mum has been in the care home, I have found all the staff and carers kind, helpful, very caring and polite in a friendly atmosphere.
They treat my mum with respect and care for all her needs. It's not easy for the relatives sometimes having somebody in a care home,
they feel guilty but the staff look after my mum as I would that gives me comfort knowing she is safe and being looked after.

I leave my Mum every day with confidence and reassurance that she is being very well looked after. The staff are quick to notice and deal with issues as they arise. They are also very welcoming, smile easily and make good eye contact. Mum reports they are kind and supportive.

A very welcoming reception area with a lovely administrator who is extremely busy but always very pleasant and eager to help.


The staff are all lovely. They are all so busy but always find the time to meet mum's needs and demands great maintenance staff.


The food is amazing and the head chef is

so pleasant and offers to try and meet any changes requested - laundry is brilliant and the cleaners are great. Thank you.

Mum is a stroke patient with loss of left side movement. The care and treatment she has received in her time here has been second to none! The staff are amazing. They work so hard and there are not enough of them. It is welcoming, warm and a happy place.

My mother has been a resident for approximately 10 months. The care she receives is great. The home is clean and tidy. I feel that my mum's needs are met. I am pleased with the staff as nothing is too much trouble and from what I have seen when I visit mum, they go out of the way. Thank you and well
