Located close to Oldham and Manchester, Longwood Lodge provides a range of high quality, tailored care and support options in a warm and welcoming environment.

Longwood Lodge Care Home is set within its own private grounds and has beautiful views of Alexandra Park. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and includes ensuite facilities and a 24 hour call system. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with personal items such as ornaments and photographs.

A varied menu of delicious and healthy food is freshly prepared by the onsite chef, and menus can be tailored to individual requirements and preferences. Residents may eat in the home's pleasant dining room or in their own room if preferred.

Residents can engage in some of the many stimulating activities and events that are organised at Longwood, including arm chair aerobics, sing a longs, bingo, quizzes, arts and crafts, pampering sessions, and many more. Residents can also benefit from services such as a mobile library, weekly hairdresser visits, optical and dental service and a chiropodist.

I am very happy with the care that my dad receives. He enjoys the food and all the staff are caring and kind. There is lots to do and dad enjoyed the opening of the pub that’s in the home.

My brother has now been in Longwood Lodge care home for sixteen months and suffers from dementia. Firstly, the manager and staff are caring and bring out his sense of humour and make him feel so comfortable. They allow him to help in the garden and take him for walks in the adjacent park and to the
shops. He tells us the food is good, has a lovely room and the whole place is well furnished, clean with no smells. He could not be looked after any better.

It really gives me peace of mind to have my Mum in Longwood. My Dad was in here before and the staff went above and beyond over an extended period of time. The staff are experienced, genuine, and attentive. The staff helped the family with expectations of how Mum would settle in and she's been less
anxious and slept better since she went in. I've never once thought, "it would be better for Mum if only they'd..."
If Mum can hold the room for a few years, they can keep the family name on the door and I'll move in when I forget where my own door is!

My mother was a resident of Longwood Lodge for 17 months. After making this very hard decision to place mum in care we never expected her to settle in as well as she did. All the staff were welcoming and friendly and made this move trouble-free.
She was very happy in Longwood and the dedicated, caring
staff treated her with nothing but respect, compassion and dignity. We can never thank them enough for their dedication in caring for her - words seem inadequate.
I would recommend Longwood Lodge.

Excellent care given by wonderful staff. My room is lovely and is cleaned regularly.
I am looked after so well and I know how lucky I am to have chosen Longwood Lodge when I was not able to stay in my house any longer.

The staff and facilities are excellent. The staff pay the residents a lot of attention and they personalise the care to every person and care so much about them.
Everyone who resides there is very well looked after and they are visibly happy to be in such a place. A couple of amazing staff come to
mind, they have an excellent relationship with the residents and regularly go above and beyond for the residents.

Since my parents moved here they have received the best care and attention I could wish for. The facilities are excellent and all the residents have the opportunity to take part in daily activities.
All the staff have a wonderful, caring and patient attitude and go out of their way to do their best
for all. My family is kept well informed if any problems or illnesses develop and this enables us to relax, knowing our parents are so well cared for.
The staff are fantastic, they have great relationships will all residents and their families.

My Mum has been a resident here since November 2016. She was adamant she wanted to remain in her own home but she was no longer safe there.
My brothers and I looked around many homes in the area.
The welcoming and dignified atmosphere at Longwood Lodge struck us immediately.
The experience and professionalism
of the staff is admirable and the kindness and care shown to my Mum is more than we could have hoped for.
She has settled very well.
I have peace of mind that I haven't had for the last 3 years.
This is a lovely home.

I have been exceptionally impressed with the work rate, capability and compassion of all who care for my mother.
I never believed that we could find a residential care home so well-decorated, clean and caring for Mum.
It has taken a terrific weight off our minds. Nothing has been too much trouble
to the staff who have gone out of their way to help Mum settle in.

My mother has been a resident in the home for 11 months now. Prior to this, she had spent 2 weeks in a home local to me and 1 month in a different home, both as a respite resident. We also had a look around at least 4 other homes before making a decision on Longwood Lodge. It was recommended to us by
a friend and also a family member and we have not been disappointed.


I realise caring is now an easy job both physically and mentally, but the staff are wonderful with the residents under sometimes difficult circumstances. The home is always clean and cheerful.
One of the main reasons we picked Longwood Lodge was because of the daily activities which were promised at the other homes but never materialised but in Longwood - goes in daily and is a real asset.


When I leave my mother after a visit, I feel confident she is safe and well looked after.
