Located close to Oldham and Manchester, Longwood Lodge provides a range of high quality, tailored care and support options in a warm and welcoming environment.

Longwood Lodge Care Home is set within its own private grounds and has beautiful views of Alexandra Park. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and includes ensuite facilities and a 24 hour call system. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with personal items such as ornaments and photographs.

A varied menu of delicious and healthy food is freshly prepared by the onsite chef, and menus can be tailored to individual requirements and preferences. Residents may eat in the home's pleasant dining room or in their own room if preferred.

Residents can engage in some of the many stimulating activities and events that are organised at Longwood, including arm chair aerobics, sing a longs, bingo, quizzes, arts and crafts, pampering sessions, and many more. Residents can also benefit from services such as a mobile library, weekly hairdresser visits, optical and dental service and a chiropodist.

Since my mother entered Longwood Lodge, I have nothing but praise and admiration for all the Team and their dedication to all residents and their families.
From a warm welcome to regular updates and personal attention to care, I have always felt reassured that my mum is in "the right place" and that
there is no need to worry as all communication links are readily available if/when needed.
At times, I have noticed the Team go above and beyond to meet the needs of residents, inparticular when meeting specific dietary needs to appease ongoing demands and requests from residents (or requests from wider family members).

I have been a resident at Longwood lodge for nearly a year now. Everything I have experienced is excellent, the staff, manager, are amazing. I still have my independence and this is valuable to me. My daughter lives across the world and her knowing I'm so well cared for and happy gives her reassurance.
Moving into Longwood has been the best decision I have made. I'm extremely happy here and could not be better looked after. This is my home

After being very independent for most of her life, my 103yr old mum decided it was time for her to be moved to a residential home. After viewing many homes in the Oldham area, upon viewing Longwood, my brother and myself decided on Longwood. From the moment we stepped inside, the general relaxed and
comfortable atmosphere was plain to see and the feeling of content was very easily visible. The Manager and her assistant came across as very adept during our introduction to Longwood. Since arriving in late May, I have had a huge weight taken of my shoulders knowing that my mum is extremely happy in a super, caring place , with staff around her showing love and patience for the residents. I've never seen her eat as much as she is such a fussy eater. That's saying something, as my mum has never drank tea, coffee or milk. My compliments to the managers and staff. You are brilliant. Thank you.

My mother was a resident at Longwood lodge from July 2024 until she passed away on 10th April 2025. Myself and my brother would like say what wonderful care she received being treated with respect and dignity. The Manager was brilliant who kept us up to date every day with mum's general well-being.
The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them and they communicated well with relatives. We couldn't have asked for a better place for our mum to be cared for in the last months of her life.

After various hospital admissions, it was decided my dad could no longer manage living alone so I had to look for a suitable care home. On arriving at Longwood lodge I was greeted by friendly happy caring staff who showed us a large room which was exactly what we needed for him. It has been a year since
he was admitted, well what can I say the management team and staff can't do enough for him. The manager goes above and beyond for the residents and families alike nothing is too much trouble for all parties concerned. I would have no hesitation in recommending Longwood Lodge to anyone who is considering a place for their loved ones.

Myself and my family can not fault the loving care that my mum received.

My Mum has been a resident at Longwood since June 2022 the manager and staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Mum is safe and happy there is always some activity going on so she is never bored. We are so pleased that we were able to secure a place here for her they make us all

My mother has been a resident at Longwood for 2 and a half years. I feel so lucky that a place was found for her at a very traumatic time. She was admitted for respite but I knew that she would not be coming back to her home. She is cared for wonderfully by all the staff. The home is welcoming, clean
and there is lots going on to keep the residents entertained. The manager is always approachable and is one the most caring people I have met.

My Mum has been at Longwood since July 2023. From the first moment I knocked on the door to look around I was made to feel welcome by the manager and have been supported as a family member ever since. All of the staff and the manager are absolutely wonderful with the residents. It's plain to see that
they know each of them so well and take the time to recognise their individual needs in such a warm way. It honestly does feel like I'm visiting a very large family rather than a care home. Our Mum has always been sociable and has always hated being on her own. Losing the ability to get out had not only affected her physically but also affected her wellbeing. It means the world to see her now having a laugh constantly with lovely people who care, doing activities each day that she loves, and feeling safe and not anxious anymore. It's brought our Mum back to being our Mum, and that difference is clear both at Longwood and when we go out. I would recommend Longwood to anyone.

The care offered at Longwood Lodge is excellent and the staff genuinely care for the residents.
All the staff know my father well and take the time to talk to him and even held a fantastic party for his 92nd birthday!
The manager is always available and cannot do enough for you.
The residents are
all happy and welcoming and it has a lovely homely feel to it.
We are so pleased we found it.

The manager and her team looked after my mum with such kindness and professionalism, the care Mum was given was fantastic, the staff were always so thoughtful and helpful, I think Mum was very lucky to spend six weeks recuperating from a fall at Longwood Lodge. The manager is a wonderful hands-on manager.
I can’t recommend this home highly enough. Would like to thank all the staff for looking after my mum, it means a lot to me. Big thank you.

After having to start looking for full-time care for my mother back in early 2022 I found it a daunting task. I visited care homes and spoke to care homes and something always put me off them in the back of my mind. Luckily I then spoke to the management team at Longwood Lodge Care Home and went in
to discuss my mum's medical issues and situation. I could not believe how calm and relaxed this place was. I then sat down with the management team and had a real conversation about her health and needs with people who understood and cared. After this I had no hesitation about putting her in Longwood Lodge, and it has been the best thing ever. I cannot rate this place highly enough Staff, Food, Entertainment, and the lot.
My mum went in there not in a good place. She has now put weight on has more energy and helps out with Jobs which she loves doing as she previously worked in care.
6 Star Please if possible

Words cannot express how grateful I am that I found this lovely care home for my mum who has been a resident since 2021.
All the residents are treated with the greatest respect and kindness by all the staff. Their warmth and professionalism are evident from the moment you arrive. Since moving in,
mum has never looked so happy and settled. She has received the most wonderful care and individual attention I could have wished for and the staff’s unfailing empathy and patience is truly amazing.
Rooms are kept spotlessly clean, clothes are always freshly laundered and there’s always a variety of nutritious food each day. There are also plenty of regular activities for the residents (singing, music and films) and always some special occasion to celebrate to make them feel at home. The management/communication between relatives is outstanding.
Longwood Lodge Care Home is a real asset to the local community. I couldn't have wished for a better place for Mum to spend her final years.

Beautiful place to place your loved one. Most caring staff, rooms are very comfortable, food excellent and plenty of activities. My father has made lots of new friends. Couldn't ask for better, gives us all peace of mind knowing he is well looked after and we would recommend Longwood Lodge.

My aunty is in Longwood Lodge and I have no issues with the care and help that they give to her on a daily basis. The manager could not be more helpful and approachable. The staff are very pleasant and caring towards her they already treat her as one of the family because that's how they make everyone

From my first dealings with Longwood Lodge it was clear that personalised care and attention was given.
Moving both my parents in following discharge from covid intensive care unit during lockdown in 2020 was such a worry. The none negotiable was that they needed to be together.
Longwood excelled
in keeping in touch through various mediums and when I finally could visit from overseas it was like greeting old friends.
Person-centred care and co-design on the activities is forefront and the heart of the organisation. The staff go above and beyond and make every resident, and every family feel like they are "the favourite".
My parents were happy to live here with such caring people around them.

My mum has been a resident in Longwood Lodge Care Home for four years now and I have found it one of the most , kind, caring and professional homes I have known. The staff are just so amazing and very loving to my mum, which makes my sister and I able to relax knowing that our mum is being looked after
just like we would inbetween the times we are not able to be with her. We just simply can't show our appreciation enough to all the staff who have the biggest hearts.

Having worked in the care industry I have no qualms about giving them 100% for everything. I could not have registered my parents with anywhere better. Staff and management are excellent and I've had no problems in two years.
