Set in leafy surroundings, right next to the beautiful Victoria Park in Salford, Manchester, The Fountains Care Centre is a 98-bed care home specialising in Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care. Visitors and residents alike will find a warm welcome and a genuinely caring environment.

The home has been thoughtfully designed with personalised care in mind and is divided into three houses. One provides the highest level of residential care, while the other two offer nursing care — one for general nursing and the other specialising in nursing dementia care.

Bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with pictures, ornaments and treasured items to help create a homely feel.

Residents at The Fountains can relax and socialise in the comfortable lounges, and enjoy delicious meals with daily menu choices available. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for.

Activities play a vital role in day-to-day life at the home. Alongside visiting singers and entertainers, a varied programme of daily activities is delivered by the home’s dedicated in-house activities coordinator.

The care centre is clean and the staff are all very nice and friendly. The residents look content and well looked after. My mum said the place is lovely and the staff are lovely. She likes the food and has started eating properly for the first time in ages. Overall impression 10/10.

Home is excellent the care staff are fantastic and do a wonderful job. The new facilities that have recently opened are great and even watched a film in the cinema room which dad really enjoyed. He also likes the on-site pub.
The manager was really approachable and helpful.

I'm really happy with the home. The staff are caring and considerate and they look after my mum so well. The new owners are investing in the facilities and the recent refurbishment looks fantastic. I highly recommend the home.

Lovely home, staff caring and polite. They are also very helpful. Lots of activities to do and the food looks tasty. The manager goes out of her way to help you understand what is a new experience of putting my dad in care. I would highly recommend this home.

Evelyn Dickenson

Job Title: The Fountains Home Manager Joined: 2012

Evelyn joined Wood Care Group in 2012 as a Care Assistant. Through Evelyn's hard work and commitment to first-class care, she rose to become a manager in 2015.


She is very passionate about providing an extremely high level of person-centred care at all times, and is very aware that the residents are at the centre of the home.


Evelyn works closely with her team and likes to know that everyone who lives at The Fountains has a happy, sociable life.


She and all the staff and residents at The Fountains love to meet new people, so why not pop in and enjoy a cuppa and a chat?
