From day 1, Mum needed a significant amount of care. Mum was provided with a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment where she feels safe and listened to. The managers have been excellent with listening and supporting us. A social worker told us that Mum was fit to go home when clearly everyone
else could see that she wasn't. The managers called for a GP review, and 2 days after the social worker's visit, the GP put mum on a My Care Plan for end of life. I feel the staff, especially the managers hsave gone above and beyond for us, to get mum the level of care that she needs.

My dad has only been in the care home for a short time, he is on end of life care with dementia. The moment we entered the home I knew we had chosen the best place for dad. The home is modern, clean. His bedroom is large, homely with ensuite. The manager is approachable and friendly. I cannot praise
the staff enough. They are amazing, they treat dad with love and respect. I know he is well looked after and comfortable. I can go home from visiting with peace of mind knowing he is in safe hands. It was the right decision for dad.

I am very pleased with my overall experience since my mum has resided at Cedars Care Home. My mum is a lot happier, she's putting the weight back on (as she lost far too much living on her own) and most of all my mum is safe. The staff are all lovely and always answer, help with any concerns. Overall
Cedars staff are excellent.

Clayton House Care Home

Up to this month I have had nothing whatsoever dealings with care homes. These are just observations.
Rooms are drab, no pictures on the walls, no comfortable chairs.
My sister has declined while in - no motivation. Sitting on corridors does not encourage converstion with other residents, difficult
for visitors. My sister was upset by a resident while sitting on corridor, a resident advised us, reported to carer, but didn't think taken seriously - this helped with her decline.
Reply from Andrew Wood, Director at Clayton House Care HomeHello Cath,

Thank you for your review. Following the home being purchased by Wood Care Group we have started a huge renovation project this includes all new furniture, replacing windows and doors, the whole home is being decorated. We would love to show you the new lounge, dining rooms, residents pub and entrance coffee bar. We have also increase the activity provision.

We hope that you can see the impact these changes are having positively for the residents as so far feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Please feel free to contact the home manager who would be happy to discuss further.

From day 1 I have been at ease. The staff are brilliant and so welcoming, and the home has a lovely atmosphere. There's always someone to talk to and on hand if anyone needs help. We get emails inviting us to the home's activities and for special occasions. The home is clean and tidy. I couldn't of
chose a better home, they really understand and are all kind and caring, especially with dementia.

everyday. All credited to the staff from top to bottom. Thank you.

My dad moved to Northfield in May 2025 and it was immediately clear it was the best place for his long term needs. The staff are always friendly, respectful, and take time to get to know residents and their families. The Dementia Unit Manger Fletch, is approachable, supportive and always keeps me updated
on Dad's health and care. The Care Home Manager, Dawn is also very approachable and follows up on any queries quickly. Northfield has a warm, family like atmosphere, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

My mother has dementia and has been cared for for the last few years by my father. It became apparent that they were not coping so I moved my mum to Field View. The staff have been wonderful with her, she has settled so well and is very happy; she's thriving. The only thing that could be changed is
if they had home cooked meals. I don't think there can be a substitute of the same quality than food that is cooked from scratch. Otherwise there is no better home for my mother.

Most staff sem friendly and helpful. We never have any problem with my sisters care. However, communication about her care is low. My sister is very happy there and the activities they do are great. My sister is vegetarian and is catered for very well. There is no lack of food and refreshments. All

In general, impressions are good. The residents' common room (the lounge) is too small in size, more space is needed here. Regular health checks for residents done "face to face" examinations, not by video link. Meals ought to be prepared within their own kitchens using fresh ingredients. In conclusion,
relatives' concerns need to be acted upon, this is not simply a P.R exercise. I welcome any dialogue or feedback.
Reply from Andrew Wood, Director at Abbey Care VillageThank you for your review. Abbey Care Village has 4 lounges on our dementia unit and 2 on the residential. To clarify residents are visited by there GP in person not via link (I must add the home would not control this anyway it would be through NHS). Our meals are prepared and served by our kitchen team onsite but the food is sourced via Apetito who are an award winning food supplier and provide the home with a variety of nutritional tools to support our residents. The home holds monthly residents and relative meetings and welcome feedback. Should you have any suggestions your welcome to attend these meetings or contact the home manager directly who would be happy to discuss further.

AVOID !
No activities even though they advertise this, in fact no stimulation provided whatsoever.
States also on here they provide Dementia Residential but untrue only basic Residential.
Unable to provide the basic CORE care ie. The fitting of placing in ear aids, denture and glasses.
Room was
never deep cleaned.
There never use the court yard for residents even though thats there main photo sell point.
The front door area is full of cigarette dimps and litter, staff constantly on cigarette breaks etc.
Senior staff hidden in the office.
Dad was left alone in his room for long periods and soiled.
He wasnt by far the worse resident for dementia on the residential floor in fact they claim to offer Moderate to severe dementia care.
The fact since he has moved to a new care home and he has shown to be better all round is testament to how bad the home really is and its staff.
Reply from Andrew Wood, Director at The Fountains Care CentreThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. To provide clarity our home has three units residential, general nursing and dementia nursing this is stated on our profile.

In respect of activities and entertainment we are sorry you feel that none were provided however I can assure you the home employs full time activity coordinators who provide daily activities they make use of our facilities such as residents pub, cinema room, quiet lounges, hair dressing salon and interactive digital games board. You can also see the regular events that take place on both our website and Facebook page.

We would also like to assure you the home takes cleanliness very seriously and we will certainly review your concerns to the housekeeping team. The home does record daily room cleans for all residents rooms but I can only apologise if your expectations were not met.

The staff make this an excellent care home. They treat each resident as an individual by listening, observing and responding with sensitivity to each situation. As a visitor, I am always made welcome. Any hiccups in the care of mum are dealt with, and details shared with me. Regular and varied activities
are arranged, and this creates a lovely atmosphere within the home and very much helps with bonding. My mum is able to have her hair done regularly, and her feet tended to by a chiropodist. She has also had her nails painted pink for the first time in 93 years. Mum enjoys her food and is amazed by the variety of meals she is served. After two months, my mum quite happily calls this her home.
