The care home have been fabulous in supporting with emergency respite care , the manger is very helpful and the care team are great.
Very welcoming and nice atmosphere, there is always lots going off and all are included.
Meals look good and seem well balanced.
The staff team are attentive and if

Having recently been admitted to this care home, I was so pleased to see that the word CARE is just what this home is all about. The residents seem happy, the visitors are treated with respect. I am so happy my husband is a resident here.

The care home was ideal for my wife. It was her first visit. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Her assigned room was homely and comfortable.The meals provided were substantial and enough for her needs. I thought that the home was very good indeed. The staff including the manger were very friendly,
helpful and efficient.

Since my mum came to stay at Riverside, she has been happy as she didn't like the previous care home. At Riverside, there is always someone on hand to talk to; they really can't do enough for you. The place is clean and secure.
My mum gets in with staff and residents. I know my mum is in good hands
when we are not here. There are plenty of activities like bingo, etc. From management down to the cleaner, so nice.

Great home, my mum has been here for 5 months. The staff are brilliant with the residents, treating them with care and respect. Good facilities/rooms. They also provide a lot of facilities and activities and encourage participation they provide hairdressing facilities for those who want it. Staff always

Mum has been in this care home for almost a year now and we could not be happier as a family with the overall situation. Mum has thrived since her arrival, making new friends and enjoying the various activities. All staff are polite, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for any of them.
Mum is so happy and contented, we could not ask for more.

Mum had advanced Alzheimer's & spent the last 5 months of her life here. She was wonderfully well cared for, from staff who made every effort to understand & meet her needs. Mum died in April 2025, we wanted to avoid hospital & Riverside made sure this was reality.

We have been super happy with the care provided at Riverside. Mum has dementia and was very anxious and worried, she took a little while to settle, but after the first 6 weeks it has suggested she more to the extra care side of the care home. She settled almost immediately. We feel very grateful for
the care provided by the manager and her lovely staff. Mum is always clean and happy. Thank you.

Unexpectedly mum was admitted to Riverside care home. We did not have a choice of homes and were quite concerned but from day one the staff and management have been excellent. They are kind, caring, considerate and treat all the residents with respect. I feel mum is in a safe place and well looked after.

Excellent care given from brilliant patient staff who always go the extra mile always with a smile and a sense of humour. They always treat the patients with dignity and kindness. They are always trying to involve them with games and crafts making things, having entertainment too .

My mum was in another care home for 4 years, she was treated so badly that she ended up in hospital for 3 weeks I hate that it took some thing like that to happen for me to find Riverside Care home. Since being here she has had the very best care, she is happy and smiling again, and the staff takes
pride in their job. They treat the residents with love and care. I really can't praise them enough.

From my first phone call enquiry I felt that the home would be caring and friendly, which has proved to be so. Even though my husband can be very difficult, they always reassure me that he is not a problem they can't overcome. That is a great comfort to know that he is well cared for and safe means
everything. All the staff have time to look out for him and for me when I visit and even though it is early days I know he is in the right care.

What a difference. Mum came as a new resident after hospital caused by a previous home's lack of care. She is now thriving in this fantastic home. Greatly improved in health and happiness.
The staff are second to none, led by the manageress. They really put the care into care home.
We are so happy
our mum now lives here. Thank you all.

Riverside Care Home is the best I have been in since my husband became ill over the last 7 years he has been in Riverside for over 12 months and in our experience I have found the rare is second to none. All the staff and management are so caring and compassionate, the home is spotlessly clean, the
bedding is changed on a regular basis at least 4 times a week and the food they all say is gorgeous. What is outstanding is how much care is given in giving medication to all residents and care for their safety for residents and visitors with much appreciation.

My wife began her stay at Riverside 6 months ago. Any judgement of Riverside should be within the context of dealing with someone with advanced Alzheimer vascular dementia. Riverside cannot stop this deteriorating but the improvement in her living with it since being resident has been remarkable and
something I could not have achieved alone. She now participates in social activities and responds to most interventions and activities, which previously she would not. This is due to the environment, personnel involved, and strategies deployed. It is easy to criticise minor factors which do not please but I do believe that the staff at Riverside do everything humanly possible to allow as normal an existence as possible. The manager is approachable and sets a leadership example which resonates throughout the whole team. The rooms would benefit from air conditioning in warm weather but personal care, relationships and team work are far more important than buildings.

My overall experience of the care home has been upsetting. For the first 3 months mum was well cared for and I had no concerns.
From January 2023 onwards her care has been inconsistent. The first incident was forgetting to inform me of Mum having the flu. On 3 occasions I had to inform the Doctor of
mum being unwell due to the care home not being proactive, mum needed medical attention for a water infection, pressure sore and itchy skin. When visiting I would often have to ask for her pad to be changed despite being advised that staff were checking mum frequently, even on the day I moved mum she needed changing. Mum's nails were dirty and long. Often Mum's bedding was dirty, once left soaked in urine. Not all Staff were vigilant enough to keep mum safe one staff member advised that mum had been covered in powder. I found glass in her drawer yet staff still advised me that they could keep Mum safe.
Despite numerous complaints, mum's level of care wasn't good enough at this care home.

Thank you for you review I'm sorry that you feel the care provided was not to standard. To provide reassurance to yourself I am aware both the social worker and local safeguarding team visited the home on separate occasions following the complaint you made at the time. They both inspected the home, the resident's room and the documentation completed and were happy with the standards of care, they did not feel the same way as you have. Whilst of course you are entitled to your opinion I hope that having reassurance from independent professionals provides comfort that the quality of care was at a high level.
