Such a good care home. Very clean. The staff are excellent. My dad has settled in perfectly. Could not wish for a better home for him.

Mum loves her 'flat' as she calls it. Riverside's garden rooms are beautiful with their own garden patios for mum to sit outside in her own space which she really enjoys. Perfect for her family to visit in the sunshine. Thank you, Riverside for all you do for mum.

Since first contact with the manager of the home the whole team have been extremely helpful with everyone involved with our love one. Even in the strange times of covid I feel very safe with the policies and procedures they have in place.
Our love one says the meals are very nice and the staff are

I am very happy with the level of care provided to my father by all the staff at Riverside. He is always clean and happy when I visit. All the staff know not only my father's name but also mine. They keep my dad engaged and chatting and go above and beyond in their kindness. One lady even went shopping
in her own time for pork pies because my dad mentioned he fancied one. They have regular activities and share lots of photos on Facebook. I couldn't wish for him to be in a nicer place.

I had not seen my brother and sister-in-law since being admitted but found them happy in the home. The staff and management were excellent. Impressed overall knowing they are both well cared for.

Since moving my father into Riverside we have seen a real improvement, he is far brighter and much more alert. Riverside care for my father as a member of their family, all the care staff have been friendly, compassionate, helpful with nothing too much trouble.
The management is professional and well
managed, they have taken time to get to know my father and have a really good attitude which extends to all the staff.

My mother-in-law moved to Riverside in July 2021 with dementia and partial sight. She came to Riverside for convalescent care after spending several weeks in hospital due to falling and breaking several bones; and after just a couple of weeks in Riverside she was looking brighter, fitter and happier
than even before she'd had her fall. Due to Covid restrictions, we haven't had a proper visit yet, but we can talk to her via her bedroom window and she looks clean, well-dressed and very well cared for. It sometimes takes a few attempts to contact people by phone, but overall I am impressed by the great quality of care and the attitude of all staff.

Ever since my wife has been in Riverside the staff have been very kind to me knowing how upset I was having to put my wife in care. She has dementia and she could not understand why I was leaving her there so she could not settle but the staff with patience and understanding she settled down, and now
is very happy and she loves it at Riverside and that has made me very happy.

I am very happy with the care my grandfather receives. He looks to be so happy and well cared for. He always has a smile on his face. The staff are very friendly and are always on hand to help. The manager is very attentive and helpful and I couldn't wish for my grandad to be in a better place. Well

The home manager runs the home very well. She is very approachable should we need to discuss anything in regards to my father-in-law. The home is clean and well kept. All staff are very friendly and attentive. My father-in-law has come on amazingly since coming to Riverside. I would definitely recommend
this care home.

Riverside and the brilliant staff have cared for my father for two years now and after a difficult 2020 with Coronavirus, we went to visit him for the first time. With all the protocols in place, we had a wonderful visit, thanks to the staff and management. Well done to all through this extremely demanding

Overall, I think the care given is very good, a disappointment that we are not able to get into Mum's room to over see her clothes and toiletries etc, but surely this will be rectified in due course. Could do with a review with the staff so we could discuss any concerns we have if necessary.

The care home is of a very high standard. Well managed and the care is second to none. My dad is 91 years old and looks as well now as he has done in years. The meals look really nice, the carers do a fantastic job especially one of the senior staff.

I am so happy that nana is happy and has a fun and happy life. The staff are fantastic and the home looks great as it’s all been refurbished.
They seem to always be busy doing events and things and I love looking at all the photos of Nana smiling.

I have been delighted with the compassion and care my mum has received at the home. The home was recently bought by a family who are refurbishing the entire home. Mum has settled so well and the whole care team are fantastic.
I feel reassured especially at the moment the home has been COVID free and

My name is Sue Pickersgill and I am the Home Manager here at Riverside Care Home. I have worked in the care sector for the past 25 years, and I have been the Home Manager at Riverside since September 2018.


Sue works closely with her team and likes to know that everyone who lives at Riverside has a happy, enjoyable and sociable life.
