My nannan was in Riverside for respite. She enjoyed all the activities and the friendly staff, who always had a smile on their faces. Management were warm and welcoming. The care my nannan received was second to none.
Thank you for your kind review, this will be passed on to the staff team.
All staff are lovely.

They have been looking after my grandad for just over 2 weeks, and they have helped him with everything from daily hygiene to eating and drinking and also with his mobility. The staff are wonderful and nothing is never an issue. They will try and solve the problem as quickly as they can. I thank them for looking after him.

I honestly can not thank this home enough. The care they provide to my nana is exceptional. The 2 managers are so helpful - nothing is ever too much for them. The care staff are attentive and always provide a warm friendly welcome. Nana has settled straight in and is so much happier. As a family - we can not thank the managers and the staff at Riverside Residential Care Home enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words. This will be passed onto the team.
My father came into this home in December with Alzheimer's. The staff are so caring and go the extra mile to help residents and their families making sure both are ok. It's been really tough as a daughter to see my father ill, but going to see him, staff make it easier.
My nana is 95 years young, and after living with my family for nearly 3 years, she needed more care than we could give her.
So now how do you choose?.
After looking around the others, and reading reviews, I kept coming back to Riverside.
Hand on heart we have not regretted my nana moving in.
The staff are absolutely lovely, the events they put on are thoughtful and the residents love it.
It’s the closest thing to home is Riverside.
I know my nana is cared for, she is more stimulated than she was at home.
Thank you, Riverside for giving me reassurance that my beautiful nana is in the best care.

The staff were very helpful as one became available and she was moved which made her very happy. My mother commented and said it's just like being at home now. Every day my two brothers and I visited in the afternoon. Grandchildren of many visited in the evenings. My mother would be full of chat about the lovely carers and how helpful they had been.
All our family were so pleased we had made the best choice as mum was so happy as we were the carers the food the environment were brilliant and it was a lovely place for our mum to spend her last days. Where she felt the staff were doing their very best.
The treatment Mum received on her discharge from hospital to Riverside Care Home was particularly good. New equipment was installed ready for her return. Her room was clean, tidy and welcoming. The staff liaised well with the GP regarding pain control and kept me fully informed.
My husband went as a resident at Riverside Residential Care Home in January. Thankfully, it only took a few weeks for him to settle. The staff have been brilliant not only to him but to all residents, no matter if they are distressed or just awkward. I feel happy knowing when I visit, which is any time, any day, that I will find the home loving and welcoming. I would recommend this home.
My mother has been in care at Riverside Care Home for the past three weeks I find the staff and management most helpful and obliging nothing is too much trouble and the staff go beyond the call of duty.
Thank you for your kind words we will pass these on to the team.
My grannie has been a resident at Riverside Residential Care Home for just over a year. She has settled in very well, she has a lovely bedroom where she can have her things around her and she is taken care of very well. Her room, like the home, is very clean and very warm. The carers, cleaners and management are all attentive and kind and, my parents and my family and I are very glad we chose such a lovely care home for my lovely grannie.
Thank you for your kind words. Your comments will be shared with the team.
After having a dreadful time at another home in Barnsley I was worried to move mum. Mum took some time to settle in but the staff were patient and gave mum time to settle in and got to know the staff and other residents. We understand that at times mum is difficult but this is the illness and not mum. We are so grateful to Riverside for looking after mum and putting my mind at rest knowing mum is looked after. Thank you so much.

The home overall is good. Dad has always been settled there. The manager is great with dad and he seems very happy. It's hard to get in touch by phone sometimes and you can't get enough information about how he is doing. We have had problems in the past but these were dealt with in the correct manner. I would say they seem very short staffed but who isn't? The care system is shocking.
I visited today to see my father in law and I witnessed the staff and manager giving a minute silence for a member of staff who had suddenly passed away which I felt was beautiful. The staff all wore something red which was the member of staff's favourite colour

Riverside Residential Care Home is a caring environment where my mum feels safe and loved. As he daughter, I am confident that the care she receives is of the highest quality. She is treated with dignity and love and encouraged to fulfil her potential, and I am very happy that my mum is happy in Riverside.
Thank you for your lovely feedback; it will be passed on to the staff team.
My mother was in respite care in early July at Riverside Care Home. The whole experience was really good. This was the first time for respite and I was happy with the staff, the team and the relationships in the home. If we choose to have respite again for my mother I would definitely contact Riverside.
Thank you for your kind words, your comments will be shared with the team at Riverside.
Outstanding. My grandad was well looked after. All staff were friendly and helpful, always looking for ways to make everything better. Wouldn’t use any other care home after the brilliant experience I had here.
Thank you for your kind review; it will be passed on to the team.
