I would like to thank all the care staff at the Cedars Care Home. Their care shown to my mother was excellent. Mum was admitted to the nursing side after she had suffered a major stroke. Their professionalism in dealing with Mum was exceptional. The staff who were dealing with Mum could not have done
any more. Their patience towards our family was greatly appreciated. Thanks for making mums final time comfortable.

Bought Mum in on the 30th Sept and couldn't have made a better choice. The staff are amazing with the customers and tend to there every need when required. All a credit to Cedars Care Home.

I received excellent care at The Cedars. I was discharged from hospital unable to walk or stand and they found a place for me overnight and immediately I was wheeled into the home I felt safe. I have coeliac disease and they were so careful in catering for me, never made me feel a nuisance and didn't
make me sick once - more than can be said for many restaurants! I was dangerously underweight when I went in and they fed me so well I put on a stone and a half in the 3 months I was there. The carers could not have been kinder or more encouraging as I slowly got more mobile. I celebrated my 70th birthday there and they made it a special day. Like many elderly people who live alone I have always had a bit of a dread of ending my days in a care home but The Cedars has taken that away completely

The staff are excellent, and the care given to my brother is perfect. Staff can't do anymore, very helpful, kind and considerate. They take care of all his needs. The care home is spotless. The staff are very nice and friendly.

My Brother has received perfect care, he was not mobile when he came back to Cedars from the hospital and had a very low mood. He is now walking and his mood has gotten better, he is very happy in Cedars. The staff at Cedars are excellent, a lovely bunch of staff, and nothing seems to be a bother to
them. Always ready to help, perfect staff. Well done.

My mum stayed in Cedar House on respite and stays there quite often respite nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff they are always happy to help me if I have any questions and l never have any worries about my mum staying at Cedars. She is always happy there, she is always clean and tidy cedars
is a breath of fresh air and I could not thank all of Cedars for everything they do myself and my mum.

My Mum was a resident from May 2023, she was treated with such kindness and her care was exceptional. She was very happy in the home and all the staff demonstrated a clear understanding of her diagnoses and needs.
The activities provided for the home were appropriate and Mum was always offered a choice.
She was treated at all times with empathy and dignity she was safe and well cared for and I couldn't have asked for a better care home. Thank you Cedars.

My father spent his last twelve days here following a month in the DRI. He received nothing but the best care at all times from a very caring and devoted team of staff.
He was well looked after and comfortable when it meant the most to his family. The staff were very supportive of us all and we have
nothing but praise for them in what was a difficult time for us as a family.

Lovely staff from the beginning of the experience which was quite upsetting upon leaving the resident. Very helpful and calming, very reassuring and kept us informed of progress on settling in process. Helped with any queries and always made me feel at ease and welcome. I now feel confident to contact
the care home regarding any issues as I have been treated with respect and care as it is a daunting process moving the resident into residential care. Everyone I have dealt with so far has been helpful to my needs and requests. Keep up the good work!

My mum has been here for six months now and the care has been second to none. The staff are amazing, always plenty to do for the residents. Mum is always clean and happy in herself. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone worried about putting their loved ones into care as they will be treated
like family here.

Absolutely shocked and upset that no management was in attendance at my late aunt’s funeral or staff allocated to represent the home to give respect to my aunt and her family. I have never known in my time of care for this not to happen.
I find it very disrespectful.

We apologise that the home manager himself was unable to attend the funeral, he was on annual leave. The home did send a card and have passed on our condolences to the immediate family. My wife was previously at another care home but we decided to move her as we were not happy with certain aspects of her care.
After visiting Cedar Lodge, we were so impressed that we decided immediately that this was the home for her. The place is light and airy, there is a wonderful atmosphere and
most importantly, the staff are absolutely brilliant with the residents. She has settled in really well, she loves the food and although her dementia is very severe, we feel that she is happy in her own way.
If anyone is looking for a care home for a loved one I would certainly recommend that you take a look at Cedar Lodge.

I've seen vast improvements over recent months. Communication is excellent, with regular relatives meetings and the introduction of key workers who liaise regularly with relatives and any concerns they may have.
I recently attended a Coronation celebration event, which was very interactive; the residents
loved it and had a wonderful time.
I find the carers very warm and attentive; the residents are very loved and well cared for.

The level of care and compassion at Cedars Care Home is second to none. The staff are very caring and friendly and extremely supportive. Nothing is too much trouble. The overall feel when you enter is that my grandma is happy and safe and well looked after and, as a family member, that feeling is priceless.

The Cedars Care Home has an excellent feeling of family/friendly feel about it. They are fully supportive of the needs for all residents which I have seen during my visits to see my dad. It fills me with reassurance that all my dad's needs are being fulfilled during his stay here and they do their utmost

I can leave Mum safe in the knowledge she is cared for with dignity. Staff are excellent with Mum. She enjoys the food which is well-balanced and nutritious. The home itself is bright, airy and clean.

Claire joined the Cedars team in 2016 and stepped up to the role of home manager in January 2025.


She is always available to welcome families, friends, visitors and new residents, ready to offer a show round and answer those important questions that families may have when choosing a care home for their loved one. Claire leads the staff team to create a truly great place for their residents to live and maintain their independence.
