They know each and every resident so well and this shines through. The care and support that our Mum and us all as a family have received means the world and we can never thank them enough for allowing us to be a son and daughter again, spending such lovely quality time with our precious Mum and being able to laugh with her and enjoy so many happy moments again. We're so glad that we were lucky enough to find Longwood Lodge and that our Mum and us could become part of such a wonderful and warm family.

After just two weeks, her baseline improved tremendously, enabling her to settle happily into life at The Fountains, where she made friends amongst other residents and indeed the staff. Her room was so pretty and the staff tended to her every need, treating her as an individual, listening to her concerns and encouraging her independent decision making. Eventually, after being diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, her gradual transition into nursing care upstairs was handled impeccably, where she spent her final days surrounded by genuine love from all the staff. For this and much more besides, I will be eternally grateful.

At times, I have noticed the Team go above and beyond to meet the needs of residents, inparticular when meeting specific dietary needs to appease ongoing demands and requests from residents (or requests from wider family members).

You can tell that the staff genuinely care - not only are they professional and attentive, but they take the time to get to know each resident personally, treating them with dignity and kindness. My uncle often spoke about how safe and comfortable he felt, and he clearly enjoyed the company of both the team and other residents.

The communication with us as a family was excellent. We were always kept informed and involved in decisions, and staff were always happy to answer questions or offer reassurance when needed.

The home itself is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and feels more like a family home than a facility. The activities and social events were al

Since arriving in late May, I have had a huge weight taken of my shoulders knowing that my mum is extremely happy in a super, caring place , with staff around her showing love and patience for the residents. I've never seen her eat as much as she is such a fussy eater. That's saying something, as my mum has never drank tea, coffee or milk. My compliments to the managers and staff. You are brilliant. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them and they communicated well with relatives. We couldn't have asked for a better place for our mum to be cared for in the last months of her life.

lovely & homely, Mum actually sleeps in her bed - something that she rarely did previously. The lounges are airy and bright, and the food/choice of food is very good.
What makes The Fountains so good is the staff - reception staff, management, domestic staff, and wonderful carers, everyone clearly enjoys looking after the residents and ensuring their needs are met. They know just 'how to handle' the residents and make them feel safe.
Nothing is too much trouble, even when we phoned every day when Mum first went there, we were never made to feel a nuisance and were encouraged to ring and check on Mum knowing how worrying it can be for families placing Mum in a new setting.
