Going through a really difficult time we had to find care for our lovely dad. The staff and care we had from Riverside was so kind and helped me and my sister so much. It took a lot of stress from us knowing he is so looked after and cared for by lovely staff. We know he is so safe and settled. We cant thank all of you enough.

I am highly delighted with the facilities provided by the Riverside Care Home. My wife has fitted in well and we both think that the staff and management at the home are second to none. There is nothing to much trouble for the staff, The food and choices of food are marvellous, I cannot recommend the home enough. I am highly delighted with the choice I made

KAY - DAUGHTER My mum has been in Riverside since December 2024 she's always clean & tidy with her hair styled every week in the 'salon' which she loves. Mum always comments that the food is very good. All in all although it took some time, mum seems settled and happy. Its a relief for the family to know that she is well cared for

Good care given to Mum, always kept up to date with progress & health. Staff are all very friendly & loving towards mum & are always helpful. Lots of activities/events and entertainment are provided to residents and families are encouraged to attend & also to give their opinions regarding any improvement etc. (Activities are excellent, just awaiting a replacement employee).

Mum is happy and well looked after. She has lots to do with a great activity team. Staff are amazing 10/10. Food is plentiful, but sometimes she doesn't know what it is, as likes plain food. We as a family cannot praise all the staff more.

Best thing we could have done for my mum was to make Field View Care Home the place for her to live in. She is happy and well taken care of. The staff go above and beyond. She is always clean and dressed well. Her bedroom is spotless. 10/10 from me.

We have found Dad much improved in his short stay and he has said he wants to remain here.

Peter's mental well-being has improved 100% since admission. The staff are very supportive and cannot be faulted for their care of him.

Chapel View is a lovely care home, the staff are very welcoming, the home is lovely and clean never too much trouble for the cleaners. The meals are very appetising. Nothing ever too much for the management always there to help when needed. Activities good always something going on in the home. Would like to thank everyone at Chapel View for what they do for my mum.

Staff are so helpful and will go above and beyond. The cleanliness of Chapel View Care Home is second to none - the domestic team is excellent. The home is welcoming, and the new decor is beautiful. The manager, Gemma, is open, friendly, and truly cares about her residents and staff. In my opinion, one of the best care homes in Barnsley.

I literally wouldn't have her anywhere else.

Lovely, friendly staff. Plenty of activities. Lovely food, snacks, drinks. My mother is happy and making friends and gaining weight.

Since my grandad has moved into riverside ive seen a massive improvement in his health. I cant thank the staff at riverside enough they are absolutely brilliant! So caring and extremely kind!

From day 1, Mum needed a significant amount of care. Mum was provided with a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment where she feels safe and listened to. The managers have been excellent with listening and supporting us. A social worker told us that Mum was fit to go home when clearly everyone else could see that she wasn't. The managers called for a GP review, and 2 days after the social worker's visit, the GP put mum on a My Care Plan for end of life. I feel the staff, especially the managers hsave gone above and beyond for us, to get mum the level of care that she needs.

My dad has only been in the care home for a short time, he is on end of life care with dementia. The moment we entered the home I knew we had chosen the best place for dad. The home is modern, clean. His bedroom is large, homely with ensuite. The manager is approachable and friendly. I cannot praise the staff enough. They are amazing, they treat dad with love and respect. I know he is well looked after and comfortable. I can go home from visiting with peace of mind knowing he is in safe hands. It was the right decision for dad.

I am very pleased with my overall experience since my mum has resided at Cedars Care Home. My mum is a lot happier, she's putting the weight back on (as she lost far too much living on her own) and most of all my mum is safe. The staff are all lovely and always answer, help with any concerns. Overall Cedars staff are excellent.

All staff absolutely amazing. Very friendly very helpful and very knowledgeable. All a credit to Cedars. They are so helpful with all the people who are in there. Nothing is too much trouble. They all enjoy the activities and shows, Mum says the food in the care home is lovely with a different menu everyday. All credited to the staff from top to bottom. Thank you.

My dad moved to Northfield in May 2025 and it was immediately clear it was the best place for his long term needs. The staff are always friendly, respectful, and take time to get to know residents and their families. The Dementia Unit Manger Fletch, is approachable, supportive and always keeps me updated on Dad's health and care. The Care Home Manager, Dawn is also very approachable and follows up on any queries quickly. Northfield has a warm, family like atmosphere, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

My mother has dementia and has been cared for for the last few years by my father. It became apparent that they were not coping so I moved my mum to Field View. The staff have been wonderful with her, she has settled so well and is very happy; she's thriving. The only thing that could be changed is if they had home cooked meals. I don't think there can be a substitute of the same quality than food that is cooked from scratch. Otherwise there is no better home for my mother.

It really is lovely coming in to the home .I am really close to my Nannan and I appreciate the care she recieves. Thankyou Riberside .
