I feel that the care home is wonderful. They always keep us updated with any changes or Medical visits. The staff are very friendly both with Mum + with us when we visit. We are made to feel welcome whenever we go. Mum doesn't have much confidence and feels that she is causing problems for everyone. They are very patient with her.

Overall Experience

My husband has been at Kings Park for almost 6 months now + I am convinced I chose the best care home after visiting a few. The lounge is lovely with residents facing a television which not many people watch. With only 17 residents on the residential ground floor, it never feels grounded with some residents preferring to stay in their own rooms most of the time. The staff are wonderful + can't do enough for the residents to meet their needs, always with a happy cheerful + smiling face. The home is beautiful + clean, meals are ok given that the kitchen caters for about 40 residents. The activities co-ordinator does her best to identify different activities for the residents, including visits out but all too often cannot get sufficient numbers or transport to facilitate them. My husband is ony mildly cognitive impaired is disappointed of the lack of speaking coming into the home to speak on various subjects - as offered in the brochure - sadly with with vascular dementia + lewy body only - he has noone to talk to but does have lots of visitors who are made very welcome in the home.

My mum Norma has been at King Park since Dec'25 All the staff are kind, caring and compassionate. They have welcomed mum and family and have always involved us with whats going on with mum/care The nurses Lindsey and Shawna listen to our concerns and act on them. Thank you. Wonderful. We didn't really want mum to move from her previous home as she gets anxious with change. She is safe, comfortable and well looked after The care workers are all also wonderful, special mention Denise, Lisa and Soriti

The care given to my Mum at Kings Park has been exceptional. I have experience of other care homes in the area, and they don't compare. In particular, the staff here are extremely caring to residents and relatives.

Kings Park is an excellent care home. My Dad was admitted here in February 2026. The care staff are excellent. They are kind and attentive; nothing is too much trouble for them. They make you feel like part of the family. I would recommend Kings Park to anyone looking for a home for their relative.

The staff at Kings Park are caring and supportive. We are always welcomed with a smiley face. Mum moved into the home 3 months ago and we are very pleased with the care she receives. The personal touches really make a difference. The environment is clean and fresh. Often the lounge and corridors are decorated on occasions. Staff always ring me with updates, which I am very grateful for. I hope the current level of care continues in the future.

It was a heartbreaking decision to put my mum into a home but the decision for mum to come to Kings Park was the best decision I made and it brings me so much comfort now she is no longer here .
For the few months that mum went into the home I got a bit of my mum back again !
She started to talk again and to eat . I would go and visit every day and I was welcome to go at any time ! She made some lovely friends who communicated in their own way . I would often find her sat holding hands with her friends.
Unfortunately because of mums condition and she was in the later stages of dementia she became end of life .
The staff held me together ! They didn't just look after mum they looked after me too ! They made sure that mum was given dignity and love to the very end .
I had their love and support every step of the way ! She had beautiful clean clothes and bedding . Anything I asked for was no trouble at all .

I will always be forever grateful to all the staff at Kings park .

During the decline of my mother, the staff have been exemplary in their conduct whilst giving Mother the care, welfare and dignity she unquestionably requires. Friendly and welcoming, without the devotion shown we would be in a dire state without these angels. Marks out of 10? It's eleven from me. Thank you xxx

It was difficult putting Dad in a car home at first because although he needed full time care. I feel he is a lot happier now and the family are at ease that he is safe and being looked after. He has had a few falls in the last couple of months and although they have been minor, we are scared he may have one that may hurt.
