The staff are lovely, warm, friendly and very caring. The home is light, bright and spotlessly clean. We looked at many homes for Mum before we chose Lady of The Vale, this was by far the best! There are activities for her to take part in, she can attend Mass and her visitors can too. She has settled well and is well cared for.

Our mum has been in the care for several months now and we are so happy she is there, the care and kindness given to her are second to none. All the staff are so helpful to us relatives of the residents and genuinely lovely caring people, it's not easy at times seeing your mum in care but when she's getting the best she can it helps, thank you so much.

Lady of the Vale Nursing Home provides the very best in care. The carers do care, they are in and out all the time, making sure the residents are looked after. The food is amazing and is offered to family members. The staff look after them like they are their own family. I would recommend Lady of the Vale to anyone in search of a place to stay for care, comfort and dedicated staff.

After over 9 months of numerous hospitals and care homes we had only seen the worst of adult social care until that is a recent end-of-life discharge to The Lady of the Vale.
The staff are courteous and attentive and caring to both residents and families, the home is well maintained and clean and the food is lovely.
Sadly for us there’s not much time left to see our relative enjoy the end of her life here.
We would highly recommend The Lady of the Vale to anyone looking for peace of mind their loved ones will be looked after properly.

Well done to the whole team your work is valued and appreciated greatly.

Mum came to Lady of the Vale to be assessed over a three-week period and it was immediately apparent that the management and staff were professional, caring and compassionate. I was so happy and relieved that following the assessment, the manager managed to provide a permanent home and room for Mum. The carers, manager, nurses, chefs, cleaning and gardening staff are wonderfully pleasant, efficient and caring and manage to go about their busy everyday duties with a smile and sense of humour. Approachable, organised and motivated. I would like to thank and praise every individual at the home for making Mum feel like the Lady of the Vale is her family.

The staff are all extremely welcoming. My mother has been made to feel at home, something which has been a concern to all the family. A lovely atmosphere, very clean, food cooked on site and varied and enjoyed by our mother.

My brother was in a lovely room, looking out onto the trees and garden. The nurses and staff looked after him very kindly with much patience and gentleness. The home has a family feel, and everyone is at ease with one another. The home is nicely furnished and very clean. The food is well prepared and varied. They are angels.

My ex-husband was treated wonderfully during his time at Lady of the Vale Nursing Home. All his visitors were welcomed and treated brilliantly. The standards at this home are simply excellent. The staff were so caring so helpful and so accommodating. The whole building was so clean we had peace of mind whilst he was at this nursery home, they couldn't do enough for him. If I become so ill I would like to spend my last days at Lady of the Vale.

My dad transferred from hospital to Lady of the Vale and spent the last week of his earthly life there. He was made comfortable, he was checked on regularly, his pain and discomfort was managed with great skill and care. The staff also took time to look after us and make sure we were happy with the care being provided and to offer tea, coffee, biscuits and other types of food. Nothing was too much for them. I will be forever grateful that my dad was looked after here - I could not ask for more.

The service provided by the manager and his whole team is amazing. The overall atmosphere is serene, comforting and relaxed, with nothing too much for the staff to respond to with a smile and a pleasantry. My wife has been in their care since July, and I have reserved my time before commenting, and I cannot fault anything. The level of care from all staff members has to be experienced, and I find visiting a pleasant experience in rather sad circumstances as everyone is so welcoming on my twice daily visits. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending.

Since the new manager has taken over at Bowdon Vale there have been various changes. The manager is very approachable and always welcoming. Any questions raised are answered fully and explanations are detailed. There is a new activities coordinator who seems very keen to include as many residents as possible. The 'Dog Appreciation Day' yesterday was really well received by the residents, relatives and staff. The staff, both new and longstanding are wonderful, and caring and always treat residents with dignity.

The compassion and care shown to my husband by the staff of Lady of the Vale Nursing Home was first class. He was treated with dignity and kindness and every member of staff worked hard to create a peaceful environment and to make him comfortable at all times.
This compassion extended to my family and we were always made welcome. This brought great comfort to us.

The kindness, dedication and care towards my mother-in-law have helped us to accept the ugliness of dementia.
Timely communication with my husband and I is one important factor that enhances our trust in the Lady of the Vale Nursing Home staff.
For her 100th birthday, the manager and the staff showed absolute kindness and love and made sure we could celebrate with her, within the lockdown restrictions at the time.

I just wish she were in a slightly bigger room, with enough space for the two screens she uses to be accommodated properly: the tv and the computer screen which allows our 'virtual, daily chats'.
